    THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! I am delivering my first tiered cake here in San Diego, California, and I was lost as to how I was going to safely transport it. If I were in London, I'd find you and give you a big hug. Again...thanks you so very much for the excellent and very professional advice. I am so grateful I found your channel.

    Good info! I live in the country...lots of hills, lumps and bumps and potholes, etc. And it is HOT in the summer. I've done cakes for 30 years but delivery is still terrifying. I made similar boxes and added 'reflectix' to the outside, a silver mylar bubble wrap insulation. It has helped immensely in hot weather deliveries. Hope that helps anyone else out there living in sun baked areas!

    Great video. Just wondered, for a large wedding cake would you then provide smaller boxes for each tier? So if any cake was leftover it could be boxed or is that not the responsibility of the cake decorator to provide these? Thanks.

      @SuziBelmont  Před 6 lety +2

      Hi Melly D. Suzi here. I think it is down to personal preference and pricing. If me I would provide but ensure I have included that in my pricing so you are not just giving them out for free :)

    Question. If I have a 4 tier cake (6,8,10,12), would I tier the top two and bottom 2 tiers separately? When you refer to splitting the tiers. For long distance driving.

      It sounds like your fondant may be too dry. What brand are you using. Are do you add any Trex (Crisco) to it when preparing it?
