  • One of my viewers mentioned in my comments that they found malware via MalwareBytes in Tiny11. In this video, we'll be inspecting three versions of NTDEV's Tiny OS Series: Tiny10 1809, Tiny10 21H2, and Tiny11 22H2.

I remember scowering a bunch of sites last year trying to find and download a copy of MicroXP. The one's I downloaded all and I mean ALL had trojan virus in them. The problem with these things - is the security software has to spot via heuristics and by other method 'code'. In a bespoke image, the fact that the AV doesn't find anything should not be considered 'clean'. On the flip side, and equally similar, large vendors like Microsoft and others do their own activities that you don't really want, and equally your AV saying everything is fine is equally dubious. Sadly, there are no easy answers..

When I finally installed a clean windows 11 education edition and did the same tests as I had done on custom images I got maybe 2 extra FPS in games on the custom build and the "performance" just didn't justify having to reinstall windows all the time, not having reliable updates, and never knowing if what they stripped is something you'll need in the future.

    1. To be safer, you would need to do anti-malware scans in a change-rooted environment [loading from an external operating system], like from a usb thumb drive or optical drive [a r/o CD/DVD is even better] , so there's that. Running an anti-virus from a possibly compromised OS is not really a smart idea. Yes, the better anti-virus programs self-check for the integrity of their own files.
    2. And do multiple scans from several different vendors.
    3. Lastly, unload any positives found to virus total. That way, you can evaluate any of those as true or false positives.
    4. It is always good practice to run an anti-malware scan from a different OS type, eg use Linux to disinfect a windows box, and use a Microsoft to disinfect a Linux server or workstation. Cross-platform malware does it exist, but it is relatively rare, but if you have that problem, it will be probably be very obvious.

But i wouldn't login and was saying something about system isn't verified and it might be risky. But i just thought it was being paranoid and i login through another browser which worked fine. But later that day, that same Google account was logged in, somewhere in Russia and for some reason that guy took over my supercell Id. I logged out of all the devices and immediately changed the password. But still the damage was done. That guy changed the email id in my supercell account from my email to his email. Co-incidence? I think not. So after that i completely lost trust in these custom ISO versions of the original windows.
