      Stepback 3 either opens up the lane or possible foul for a 4 pt play. That's why I'm high on Luka. He already has it at 19. Face it, MJ never was a good 3pt shooter.
      MJ and Kobe were not really stepback 3 shooters and were never efficient with their threes overall. Kobe's peak years had him hovering above 34% from deep. Never shot over 40% for a season.
      Harden's is a pioneer at mastering this move of the stepback 3 and with efficiency. CP3 is the biggest MJ fan and he's saying this about Harden. It's no disrespect to the GOAT. It's just closer to the truth in this era.
      Nobody shoots contested midrange jumpers anymore. It's considered a terrible shot in this analytics era we live in. The style of MJ, Kobe, Melo, that's 📼 & 📀. Obsolete style. All beloved for their nostalgia.
      The Warriors is the NEW AGE of the NBA.

    If Harden played in the 90's he'd average 15 ppg. His stepback will be called for travels, he'll lose around 9pts for that. He won't get the usual foul baiting calls he gets where he'd lose another 7 pts or so from the freethrow line. And let's not forget about the handcheck. MJ averaged 35 ppg in an era where you can basically control a player's movement with handchecking. 15 ppg isn't bad by all means but he wouldn't be the superstar type player that he is in this era.

      Harden also has more career free throw attempts than field goal attempts.
      And offense doesn't mean scoring, it means offensive rebounds and assists and everything offense.
      Where's harden in playoffs? What does he have except flop travel and take advantage of refs stupidity, he can't physically impose himself. He disappears in playoffs because he doesn't get as many calls. Lebron is a career 50% shooter with 27 7 7.
      KD is just a monster on scoring, KD is unguardable.
      Harden is 4th offensively in the league right now.

    • @marchabchy9125
      @marchabchy9125 Před 5 lety +24

      @PanTHundERs harden's average minutes per game for his career is 33.9 minutes ,steph's is 34.4. That's because while harden played less minutes in his first 3 seasons when he became a starter every season he plays 3 4 5 more minutes than steph in each of his last 7...
      Ok so on average they have both play about 34 min a game and both average exactly 23.3 pts/game
      So they scored just as much as each others the only difference is harden played fukin 75 more games bcz steph was injured a lot in his career this is y harden scored 1600 more pts!!! While they both average the same number of points but steph is 100 times more efficient that's the difference
      52% to 58% effective fg% + less turnovers+he still averages more assists/game than harden(whole career)
      And steph is clearly the better passer when he wants to be a pass first point guard

      I'm gonna have to agree. As bad as melo has been for the past few years, Prime melo is probably a top 4 or 5 offensive talent ever. He could score on anybody at will and didn't have the refs bailing him out on every possession. Kids just see the Melo in Okc or houston and disrespect an all time great talent, smh.

And I didn't even count in his playmaking ability yet. Harden is EASILY a better playmaker than Melo ever was. To say prime Melo offense is better than Harden's is beyond crazy and it proves just how overlooked Harden's impact on offense is.
