I purchased this apartment for 126 000 USD, 2 years back. Now the prices got doubled, about 2200 USD per 1 sq.m of the house.
This is the case with most developers. As more popular project become, as the higher price you will have for new buildings.
How can you people buy apartments for $126,000. and double when the average wage is $500. a month ? it doest make any economical sense?
@@arthurlenko9598 Same how someone can buy house in USA for 2-3 million usd if average salary is about 4000$?
@@Olga_Reznikova The middle class salary is not $4000.its probably $50,000.,and they buy $500,000 homes, and you cant compare USA to Ukrainain.its an apples to oranges comparison.
@@Olga_Reznikova I know people that make $200-$300K per year and they can buy a $600k condo.for $6000. per year you could buy only a used trailer in the middle of noware.
Looks like you made a good deal by prebuying. Kiev seems to be in a strong housing market.
It's heartbreaking to see the excitement you had 2 months ago for your new home and this week everything is being torn apart. I hope you and your family are safe and I wish we Americans were doing more for your brave country.
actually. Americans are being pushed out of Ukraine now. new Aid wont help. Putin have 6000 nuke war heads. and Americans can not sacrifise anything to save Ukranians

Thanks for taking the time to give your distant friends a tour of your new apartment. I hope you find nothing but happiness there!
It's so shocking how quickly things changed. I truly hope the best for you and your family and loved ones. I've been watching your older videos to learn how to understand/hear very basic Ukrainian. Slava Ukraine.
Lovely apartment Olga! Best wishes for 2022.....Much respect and peace from the Republic of Ireland! 🇺🇦🇮🇪
Thanks.
Happy Holidays!
I'll look forward to seeing the transformation of what you've shown us here to the place you and your family will move into.
congrats , your hardwork and dedication worth it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am excited to see the progression of this apartment. I have done a similar thing in my country and found it extremely stressful, however the end result makes it all worthwhile. Wishing you success…
It is stressful, but I already did renovation for the house, so I guess apartment will not scare me)) It is much more simple.
@@Olga_Reznikova is there a Video about the renovation of your house? Would be interesting.

Great video/ Congrats on your new apartment. Interesting. Will be fun to watch you finish it.
Can't wait by myself!
I look foward to seeing it finished....
Hi olga it's very interesting to see your new original apartment and really looking forward to see your new apartment after complete renovation. Apartments in my country China are also very similar, there are two three options original, rough renovation and complete renovation. But most of young people like to buy original without any renovation for a customized renovation demands and also from budget reasons. However the price in most tier one or tier two even tier three cities are above 2200 dollars per square meter, let alone in mega cities like Shanghai Beijing Hong Kong Taipei or Shenzhen GuangZhou. The actual official salary is roughly around 1200 dollars on average in these mega cities, but living costs are also very expensive, so actually young people in most cases couldn't afford to buy an apartment alone but in most cases ended up by having financial help from the parents.
This was such a cool video, and you were such a cool hostess, that I decided to subscribe to your channel. I am very much interested in learning about Ukraine and it's people.. I look forward to going back to watch your past videos and your future videos.
Congratulations on your purchase of a new apartment.
That's really new.
Nice and thanks for sharing ur place as if i am there
You have the new mall just next to the complex.. 👍👍.. I was there two days ago..
Yes true!
Congratulations Olga
Really nice apartment. Thanks for the tour. I will be in Kiev next month.

Great video... Thanks for your information olga...
Congratulations on the new purchase
I will be securing my apartment in Senat,Geos .
In the new year .
Its right next to this one! Good choice!
Love your new apartment Olga, took note that you people in Ukraine use a lot of concrete to build with, here in the states we use more wood products and concrete is mostly used on floors and foundations, would like to see a video when your all moved in all set up and you are ready to live in your new apartment, love your channel, be safe and have a blessed day.
I was wondering about this as well. Which is better for insulating, I wonder.
@@frankswarbrick7562 Concrete up here is used for foundations driveways and very expensive were wood is main material of the houses and windows etc, houses are made for cold weather with lots of insulation, the winters up here get very cold, which last about 4 months Dec--March and then again the winters could be mild
I live in Bloomington Minnesota which is a suburb of Minneapolis, all buildings have a code requirement and inspection.
That $126k doesn't include finishing the interior correct? How much did it cost to finish?
Good video , good information………I wish the best for you……..hello from Atlanta USA 🇺🇸………
Hi Olga. I thought you just built yourself a new house just a little while back. Are you leaving it to move into an apartment? So glad you're doing well and staying healthy. I always love your videos.
I have that one too, but outside of Kiev
@@Olga_Reznikova Great! So happy for you!
Wow that apartment is cheap compared to the Bay Area. Here in San Jose California which is the capital of the Silicon Valley, an old 1300sqft 3bed 2bath house build in the 1980s would now cost on average about $1.3M. I was very lucky to purchase my house in San Jose CA for 800K in October 2019. Now it is worth about $1.3M.
how much is the cost of the apartment? like you have?
Beautiful building and appt.
Where is it and can I know the price by the time you bought it?Thanks!
yes I liked the Video and would like to see more apartment tours, and maybe if there is new developpment in the downtown area also...Thanks
Sure!
Is their a video of it finished? Enjoy your videos, wish you and your family the best 👌
Great video, thank you so much. How’s the water pressure in an apartment like this?
It should be fine but I do not have taps even to test it🤷🏼♀️😂
what happened to your dacha that you were building last year?
Listening to Olga speak, the cadence of her voice and accent, she talks about sewer connections and yeah... it's fine.
Its will be beautiful🌸🌸🌸
It is so beautiful
Olga i hope best for you.
My first impression is that ceilings are high, at least 40cm higher than in UK new apartments, second impression, the size of bedrooms in square meters are pretty large. Also, the price for 1m2 is higher then in Poland.
Depends where in Poland.
How many approx cost your new home!
Good day Olga...be continue
Nice and beautiful apartment
Oh I loved the apartment. Very nice and modern. Congratulations for your new apartment. 👍
Is this in Kiev? If you don't mind me asking, what's the cost of the apartment. Thanks 🙏
Yes, it is Kyiv, 126 000 usd,
@@Olga_Reznikova I am assuming it might cost another 15,000 dollars to get, everything done in the apartment . From painting to furniture etc etc. ?
@@prashantkhanna6055 30k
Olga, how much is the price in apartment like yours? Can you please give me an idea.
Congratulations for your new apartment
Our project started in 2017 and they are building apartments. First started with 600$ per 1sqm, and now they propose 2200$ per 1 sqm in buildings which will be ready in 2 years.
Omg Wow Hermoso video
How long before your new apartment is ready? The price you paid, does it include it finished, ready to move in, or do you have to pay separately for everything to be ready to move in? In the meantime while you wait to get it ready, where do you live?
Did you not watch the volume on she explains EVERYTHING you asked about the new apartment
Another excellent video Olga. Coming from the U.S. it would be very unusual to buy an unfinished apartment in a new building. Is it common in Ukraine? I assume there must be a lot of contractors available to finish the work.
Yes this is the norm for new constructions unlike as you say in the US and Australia etc.
I really think this is a good thing because you actually get what you want, you can knock out any load bearing walls, customize your layout and furnishings and so on.
I have seen some really tacky new renovations there though.
I’m lucky moya druzhina is a interior designer so we will have a really nice fit out when we have saved enough to buy our own.
Beautiful Olga
This was another interesting video for me. I stayed in an apartment in Vysgorod, near Kiev. I was there 3 months the summer before last, and again 3 months last summer. They were doing renovations of some kind, both summers. The noise was the same, as the background noise, in this video. I didn't like it, but the apartment, and view, were great, also it was not expensive to stay there. But the 2nd time I went back there, I was surprised, they were still doing renovation, and it was only in one or two apartments, down the hall from me. I've done this type of work myself, in America, so I was always curious, as to what they were doing. And I could never figure out, what that tool was, that made that noise? Anyways, the apt. you showed, looks great, and with extra storage space. My impression of construction in Ukraine, is that it is excellent, but they take too long to complete things !
This is sound of hammer drill.
Yep they were chiseling out the block work to install electrical, heating and plumbing.
@@TheCroupier74 So weird that someone who does construction doesn't know that, granted that they do build a lot of homes with timber in the US so maybe that's why, I'm in Canada I knew what that sound was.
I wonder if they frame with studs metal or wood and add drywall or just plaster over the cinderblock and embed wires in conduit,.
I watched someone's new home build in Russia and a lot was 'chiseled' out in the brick which is crazy to me, they actually have a tool that channels out the brick !! They did attach drywall in a few spots but I think it was costly and not the washroom and kitchen
@@Sunnbuzz Yeah, it’s the same in Australia, not much hammer drilling on houses if any and when you buy an apartment it is already fitted out except for furniture and maybe curtains.
I have been out to a few of my wife’s projects in Kyiv and really the technique will depend on the clients budget, more expensive for gyprock and I have only seen hung on metal stud walls, electrical conduit again depends on budget, you don’t need building inspection and it does take up real estate on these small apartments, cheaper option is plaster but you want to find a good plasterer as a lot of the time the walls might be a bit wonky and getting a dead level surface can be tricky.
I hope our apartment in Berezniaky will not be bombed, слава Україні 💙🇺🇦💛
Looks very nice.
How much it cost to you?
Very very good video where is location how many bed rooms how much and how many mile from centre let me know please Thanks TJK
What about Bills, electric Water Gas etc
Enjoyed the video but you never mentioned garages or parking spaces for cars. Does no-one have a car?
Congrats...
I thought with new apartment it would be all finished )) .
This year i also bought new apartment in my country. They are constructing it now and i did choose kitchen , floors , bathroom, walls , .... .
So in one year when it is finished it will be all done and ready to move in.
There are such options here also, but it us not very common. At least for now.
@@Olga_Reznikova Here in Belgium it is just other way around. Common to buy apartment and get it al finished with kitchen, bathroom , floors , ... of your choice. Intresting to know in Ukraine it is different way.
@@frisky003 actually in Ukraine you can hire designer, who will make you design + handle all the renovation inside as per your individual project. YOu can meet him once and a second time come to ready apartment, Give him money and he will finish it for you as fast as you can imagine.
At the same time, how much individual design you can get from developers in Belgium? IS it 100% individual design and they made it for you or you are choosing out of some options they have?
For our developers, they give you choice out of what they can provide you. You can not go so much different from what they propose.
@@Olga_Reznikova You can make it your 100 % individual design. You have a standard bathroom , standard kitchen , .... that is included in the price of the apartment. But if you want other things you just go to showroom of for example the company that will install the bathroom and you can choose whatever you want and then you pay the extra cost.
For my apartment for example i'am not intrested in cooking so i'am happy with the standard kitchen (oven, stove, fridge , dishwasher) so i did not change. For the bathroom i went to the showroom cause i did want a more luxurious shower. No problem , they will make it happen and i will pay the extra cost.
I wish they still made houses n apartments like that in America here is wood frames and crap
How much is your apartments and what city in Ukraine?
Congratulations! Rudi.

wow olga, great winter coat, you look like movie star
Thanks) It is normal for our weather)
Where is the location please?
I'm really interested about the process of renovations. How much time will be spent with a designer (or architect)? How long will the renovations likely take for your unit?
I believe it all depends from money. If you have unlimited budget and the question is only time, I Am sure everything can be done in 2 months.
But if you do not hold unlimited budget, you need to do the things step by step.
The more correct expression here will be 'completion'. It's a new appartment building, were the units typically are delivered like this. The main tasks to do are to finish the surfaces; plaster the walls, ceiling, tiles, possible wooden panels on one or more walls, flooring, install kitchen and hook up piping, eletric in the different roms. Usually no designers involved, the owners pick out the prefered materials, colours, kitchen, tiles and so on, and hire someone to do the different jobs then carefully supervise the work. As with most, it much come down to money, how much are you willing to spend and in how short time. One reason the appartments are delivered unfinshed like this is that gives flexibility to finish it over a longer time frame, 4-8 months+?, as income and money allows for the locals. If money no big issue, naturally one can hire a designer and let them take care of everything, 2-3 months? As in all countires, there are good designers and craftsmen, and there are less good. Don't go in the trap to 'save a few bucks', hire some cheap guys and in the end need to pay another company to redo everything. It happens over and over again. Do background checks, get references. Maybe you get to know some other people in the city were you want to buy, that have similar jobs done, and can give good advice. To make a appartment easy to sell further down the line, one should keep to generally 'neutral' colours and surfaces, light and modern
@@Rimrock300 I agree with your terminology. But it is at odds with all the Ukrainian youtubers and real estate sites.

It doesn't require anything besides space to install. I prefer 2 in 1 for space saving.
@@Olga_Reznikova Generally, they need to vent the hot, humid air outside.
@@mattlawrence7130 there is vent in every bathroom.

Dobra.
They can not sell apartments like that in the USA for a good reason neighbors are not going to like major construction going on and all the noise that goes with it
While there is nobody living, nobody is bothered by construction. But once people will start living, they will limit noisy works to couple of hours a day.
@@Olga_Reznikova ok that make sense. Best of luck to you and family in your new apartment
$120,000 apartment? What happened to the cheap houses?

@@Olga_Reznikova Actually, I remember a video maybe 4, 5 years ago that there were advertisments of small glats for 40-50K $. Do the prices go up so fast in recent years?
HI OLGA .i am raja reddy from india.i love ukraine .i want settled ukraine .i want a house for buying and settled ukraine plese help me
It's considered gone now. 11March2022.
I have to be honest here, this construction work would never pass in the U.S. Also I don't understand why you can't take your baby stroller to your apartment. Is it because of limited space on the elevator? Thanks for the video, as always.
No, you can take stroller to elevator and even to apartment but if your apartment is small 1 bedroom apartment, and you are coming from outside (where 5-6 months a year we have dirt outside), you may not want to bring it to apartment actually. First, to keep apartment clean and second, to save the space.
So option to keep it safe somewhere outside of apartment is very big bonus.
@@Olga_Reznikova I understand, thank you Olga.
as time go by there will also in ukraine be more and more inspectors, controllers, rules and forms within contruction to give more people their share of the pie. But as of now they are able to do things more simple. It works.
