    Thank you! My 2016 1000xp, on deceleration sometimes freewheels and i hear some chatter from the back end. I only notice this in high gear, i took the clutch cover off and jacked the machine up, then took video of it happening. To me it looked like the secondary wasnt closing on deceleration. I took the secondary apart and the square sliders were worn as were the channels they slide in, so i flipped the sliders 90 degree and cleaned up the channels. When i took my helix apart, my spring was stuck in the spyder just as you showed in this video. I thought thats how it was supposed to be. Now i know better.

    Just wanted to say thanks for the videos... They work.. got the hunterworks thick belt on my XP 1000.. 400-mile later belt is great.. thick white washer was the trick. Thanks for looking after us.. keep up the good work

    • @LeroyJB
      @LeroyJB Před 3 lety

      @@1upkennelzaz457 the way it was explained on the video the white washer keeps the belt from bottoming out in the secondary clutch. I now have 1400 MI on the belt of hard riding. Starting to bounce a little on starts but I have been abusing it. About to order my next one absolutely best belt on the market. Plus it makes the Polaris stick much better through the trails. Riding in South Carolina and Georgia we do a lot of fast trail riding. Can't beat it

      Never had a problem with it. I have an extra to replace it when it goes out it just never does. We ride hard and fast.. also mud and rock crawling

    We have a 900s, 2 primary clutches have hand grenaded I mean, the one this weekend made me think I was in Iraq again. Both were OEM primary and the the replacement was put on by the dealer. Is there a video or some kit to keep this from happening.

    I have a 2020 ranger 1000 single cam. I want to get a secondary clutch spring that will make my secondary shift out faster. Do you have a recommendation?

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  Před rokem

      No sir. But that’s not proper way. Should shift as quick as it can in stock form.

  • @scottypetty9117

    Would this cause a rattle sound coming from the clutch area..

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  Před 2 lety +1

      No, all these clutches rattle and get worse with age then there is the not normal rattle when something is loose or bad worn.

  • @sethspaulding9528

    Could this make noise when ever the clutch disengages?

  • @hunter6099

    I have a problem with my primary clutch when you first start it makes like a slapping sound till it warms up, cleaned. Everything looks good even took the belt off to make sure it wasn’t something else, and ran it same thing. Could it be the shims by the rollers?

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  Před rokem

      Potentially, but as a clutch ages it gets louder just from the loose tolerances. What is the vehicle and miles on it?

    One of the best mods I made on my General was ditching this garbage Polaris secondary. Save the money fixing this one and get the real old style Team roller secondary.
