I spent all of 2004 in BiH. Beautiful country and wonderful people. Spent most of my time in the northeast and visited many places. Tuzla, Brcko, Bijeljina, Modrica, Doboj, Teslic, Gracanica, Srebrenik, Lukavac, Kalesija, Banovici, Sarejevo, Zenica, Bratunac, Srebrenica, Olova and several others. Really wanted to get down to Mostar, but couldn't get it done.

Fantastic video! Yes, I have been to Bosnia and Herzegovina including many of the places you mentioned such as Mosta, Trebinje monastery and others. I was bummed out that despite visiting Kravice waterfall, only 10 miles away from Croatian border, due to lack of time I didn’t drive through Croatia. The food is incredibly flavorful in that entire region. Yes, the AJVAR is very popular in that region but it’s pronounced AI-VAR 😅 with silent J. Thanks for a fabulous video! Keep them coming!

I went to Bosnia as a young soldier in 1994. I heard a true historical situation where when the Germans invaded in 1941 a German soldier accidentally discharged his rifle and shot the Mostar bridge. His German officer was so outraged that the soldier had shot a historical monument he pulled out his pistol and executed the soldier. Bosnia looks much nicer than when I was there. Hopefully they have cleared many of the land mines. 🇧🇦 🇳🇿

@@Accentor100 Actually in this case...the letter in question is not "J", but "NJ" (the 20th letter of the Bosnian alphabet - Bosnian language has normal "N", "J", but even "NJ" that makes an actual separate letter. And there are no words that are spelled with N and J as separate letters, next to eachother. It's always "NJ". There are other letters like that - "LJ", or "Dž"). While "J" indeed is pronounced as "Y" according to English analogy, the "NJ" letter is pronounced very simmilar to the Spanish "Ñ"

Close to Travnik, you also find hiking trails and a small ski resort on Vlašić mountain so it's really a destination for the whole year. Given their location, it's also a convenient spot to visit Jajce waterfall.

No, we are not any similar to Kabylians (that I had to google up). We are Europeans, live an European continental life style and the fact we are open to other religions is because we are of different religions ourselves, like you can see in this video. Bosnians are christians and jews too. Some of them identify themselves with neighbouring countries but that is another sad story. And also, like in any democratic country with democratic law - one can practice whatever religion one wants.
I was transiting in 2014 from Hungary towards Montenegro. the road is fantastically beautiful, although in some places it was not, and I did not know how we would part in the event of an oncoming car But people there with a great "communist" past, get a bribe, do not give change, deceive a foreigner on trifles - literally in everything. But the nature is very beautiful, especially in the mountains closer to Montenegro
