As much as I love game collecting I don't really understand collecting every game for one console. Personally my collection only includes games that I at least have some interest in collecting, which is why i would never get a Barbie Dreamhouse game, but to each their own. Regardless, great collection!

The biggest use of my Wii U is to play wii games, much larger and better game library. Since Wii games are dirt cheap now, It's a great time for me to expand my Wii collection.

great collection brother, although wii u is probably the easiest console to own complete a collection on, it only has around 200 retail games and that is very unlikely to increase by much, now compare that to ps2 which has 2000+ or nes which has 1000 and you can see where im coming from

That last shot of all the bottoms of the boxes with different Wii U logos was great. I've only got 8 physical Wii U games so far, with a few random digital copies of retail games, and some virtual console/downloadable ones. I'll definitely be getting more at some point but I just need them to drop in price.
Hopefully Nintendo selects helped with your collection! I've been finding wii u games pretty cheap online on eBay and gameflip (An app that lets you buys games. It's like eBay but I find the prices are better sometimes) GameStop isn't so bad with the preowned either.
Coming back to this vid again. It's amazing how quick the console ended yet this collection shows how the entire library looks like. I guess Nintendo finally ends it with breath of the wild.

Unfortunately I'm missing some ones that were super easy to get in the beginning that I just didn't pick up because I thought they would be available for a long time. Ones like Kirby, Samus and the dreaded Toon Link.

its not how i stand by my collection its how i play them.
Well, ironically, getting the good games is easy for any console. It's the bad, poorly sold, small region release dogpiles that are the hardest to find, and therefore reward more as a collector. :)
After watching your video i have ordered scribblenauts unmasked, never coming the uk!i ordred a Pal version from austraila hopefully it should work..

Yeah, that will work on your UK machine.
I think the only Wii U games that have risen in value from their retail price are the New York Nintendo Store exclusives, Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors (which are the axact same as our European special editions.) So far. There will be some that will be rarer or more sought after, just not sure which yet. :)

Hey, Finngamer. Does the Pokemon Rumble U come with a proper Wii U case for the download code? Can't find information on this anywhere on the internet.
There is not, it's just the cardboard box. There isn't even a proper voicher for the code, GAME actually printed it on the receipt paper.

Hi Finn, I saw in the google docs list a version of Hyrule Warriors Limited Edition US Release, what comes in the box? Is a NTSC version? whats the meaning of NWS NY? Best regards!
It's the same edition as Europe got, includes a scarf.
But this NTSC version was only sold in Nintendo World Store in New York.

I had them preordered on Amazon, but then they said they are no longer coming out. Looks like the Wii U versions are cancelled, shame.

That Wii U game's collection must of cost of Fortune I only have 38 Wii U retail game's and spent at least £1000 pound's I couldn't afford all that.

***** I used to own a sega Saturn I paid £400 at launch and it was the most dissapointing sega console I bought.The sega dreamcast was way better with it's arcade perfect ports it finally delivered the arcade experience sega promised me.

Awesome! I held off on getting into Wii U collecting, thinking I might just pick one up after the NX comes out and get some quality exclusives. Hopefully the NX is backwards compatible then I don't have to worry about the system.
If you get into Wii U collecting after the nx which won't be out for at least a year the cost of wii u game's would of sky rocketed.I bought a Wii U a month ago and am buying Wii U game's now before they become out of print and cost a fortune.Some Wii U game's have gone up in price for example tekken tag 2 I've seen sell for at least £80 for a brand new physical copy.
Apparently the nx won't be backwards compatible and will use cartridge's instead but I can't confirm that 100%

Well, concrete details are pretty scarce, but I'm all for physical media. The (rumoured) memory cards are a bit stretching the definition of game cartridges, but whatever it is, it'll have more character than a disc. And I know I'll love it. :D

Ikea! Billy, to be exact. They're a bit too deep for DVD cases though, but you do need that depth for special editions.

I have about 10 games to go, although I'm just collecting NA releases, and not every single variant :) still around 160 or so games... Hey Finn, I've got a bit to say, so bear with me lol
First of all what a great WiiU collection! So many games that I wish they would have released in the west, Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter series to name a couple. I think just maybe that would have helped the system out a bit. I must say though, you really do have to buy some crap to have a complete collection, eg Barbie games! Lol. But a collector has to do what a collector has to do! 😉
I absolutely love the system myself too, I'm sure I've mentioned that before. I'm gutted that it's on it's way out. But at least that means some cheaper prices for beginner collectors like myself.
I'm a little worried about a few of your sealed games, I'm really hoping your've played them one way or the other.
Finally, I was thinking, any chance you could add the current number of your completed games to your collection videos? I would find that really interesting. 😉

Like I mentioned, I do have several duplicates as well, one opened, one sealed. For this video I picked all the sealed ones to display, but I'm sure I'll regret that down the line when people comment about me not playing games. ;D Rest assured, I have played all GOOD games on the system. :)
Yeah, get your Wii U stuff during when they get cheaper in the following year. I guarantee you they'll go back up again, as the games of failed quality consoles do (Like Saturn and Dreamcast).

Hi, I know you collect for the fun of it but do you think in the future that you will loose , gain or break even on such a collection ? If it becomes like the wii or ps2 most of them games are now worth £1 - £2 and you stand to loose a fair bit of money. Please don't take this as a negative comment, I also collect and am just curious on your thoughts. Love your channel, one of the best on CZcams in my opinion.
That is a good question.
I started collecting for the Wii U when I found a good buch of games on a heavy discount at a store. I then searched online for more bargains. I've gotten the majority of this collection for a very good price. But once I caught up with new releases, I've been buying them for full price as they come along. It's dumb, but there are so few new releases I figured what the heck.
In the short run I'm definitely out of pocket, a lot. But Nintendo's consoles are all heavily collected, and Wii U will be no different. In the future it might actually be one of the more sought after platforms due to it's low sales. So the prices will start to grow once it becomes "retro". The same will be true for the PS2, I guarantee it's prices will go up as well, like they did with the PS1.

Just the games. I have a black European console and a white Japanese console, just regular releases.

Nope, that one I do have to get because of the unique controller. :)
finngamer Yes, definitely worth having, the price on that edition was like 1076 € in one store here in Sweden because it was the last one. But now it seems like that one is gone too. It's crazy to think that someone actually paid that price.

According to freedomfactorystudios.com website Bloodbath (PS3 euro exclusive for Spain) will be on WiiU, and also Young Justice - Legacy. However I can't see any on eBay. Another PS3 rarity is kick-ass 2 but I have no idea if that got ported to WiiU. Good luck with finishing the collection as you've done an amazing job.
GameFAQs doesn't seem to know the Wii U version of Bloodbath, and they say Young Justice League Wii U was cancelled... But I'm sure I haven't found out about all released games yet, it's part of what makes collecting fun. :) Will keep an eye out for Bloodbath.
Does the Black Chest Edition of Assassin's Creed 4 exist for the Wii U? I haven't been able to get a confirmation of that yet. If it really does, it must be the hardest game to hunt down!

It does exist, there are some expensive ones on eBay, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. :)

i am brand new to the wii u ,still waiting for mine to arrive from ebay!I was just curios as to what purpose do these amiibo's serve.Are they more of a collecters thing,or do they somehow work with the games themselves?By the way hats off to you on your BEAST of a collection.Pretty awesome!

Amiibo have different functionilatities in different games. Not all of them are supported in an amiibo-compatible game, but if a game supports, say Luigi amiibo, you can use either a Smash Bros series Luigi or a Super Mario series Luigi. They function differently in each game: sometimes you can unlock a piece of DLC with them, like a new game mode, sometimes you can use them as "cheat codes" and get a boost in the game. In Smash Bros you can actually store info on the amiibo, developing you own fighter with it.
But I just collect them, myself. :)
