Sheâs a tough tough watch. She craves dominance, she craves a victory, she demands repentance in a very condescending manner. She got outraged over a wild joke and used it as an opportunity to gain dominance. She didnât care if Andrew gave a heart felt apology cuz thatâs not her priority. She condescendingly told him to apologize in a tone that I can only relate to meaning âcmon lil buddy give me that apology and look into my eyes while you say itâ. Another example of her trying to assert dominance and not give respect to Andrew is her repeatedly calling him feathers. (Yea I see the shirt) but how she used it seemed like she was really callin him âlil bitchâ. This chick prolly hates the patriarchal narcissistic male but ironically enough itâs who sheâs become.

I hate people who angrily demand an apology. You donât want an apology. You want power over the other person. Because they said something you didnât like/want to hear youâre staring them down and forcing them to submit so that you feel good. You donât want sincerity you want to control them. Women â
It's true he's "satirizing the absurdity" which is entirely defensible, but chose to do it by asking an obviously sexist question which is not... Unless you're slightly sexist. Most people are... even good people.
I think Schultz isn't able in this moment to reflect on the fact that there's an extra layer to his joke that he probably doesn't intellectually agree with. In an attempt to be witty, he said the first thing that came to mind because that sexism is internalized.
If it had been a man, he might have asked something else that was also absurdist, or maybe nothing at all.
Lastly, "judge me by my intent," is stupid. So many people go through life screwing shit up for others an never intending to. Wanting to do good, and accidentally doing bad is still on you. People should own up to that.
Another reason why Andrew is the greatest comedian, keep this man safe
Yes. Hold him in our bosom
I love when non-comedians try to define what is and isnât a joke.
This shows how good of a comedian, and how quick on his feet Andrew is, that he comes out of this looking like the bigger person. Lots of people would've felt uncomfortably or a lot of pressure there and would've stumbled over themselves, but he kept really cool about the whole thing and disarmed her defenses to the point it was clear and apology would've been stupid to ask for and then he STILL GIVES IT and it makes everyone else look stupid. Mastery over public interaction.

Sheâs so sensitive, heâs a literal comedian
Andrew is the only one with a brain in this clip.
This doesn't sound like a person who is offended, this sounds like someone is upset because they didn't get their way after hearing a joke about them that they didn't like. She spent more time defending her reputation as a reporter then she did trying to explain why the supposed statement (totally not a joke on a public podcast from a edgy married comedian) was offensive. I hate it when people pretend to want to be understood, and plainly refuse to answer questions pertaining to the matter at hand. I am guessing she was objectified as a reporter and if it was a personal matter, like she made out to be towards the end of the video, then she should have addressed it in private after the podcast. Schulz is edgy, he's not unconsidered. If this was a skit, great acting, but I feel like Schulz hit an emotional bulleyes with this lady.
And that's what it always sounds like. I've had it happen to me. When folks are playing the victim as a power game, when apologizing is their tool of submission, they will literally argue you down trying to tell you what your words meant and there's real emotion except their anger that you refuse to submit.
My brain would shut down trying to explain and reason with someone like that - Apologizing (these days) doesn't actually make anyone feel any better - they only want you to apologize for their sake of winning the argument/ moral or status.
Which makes them feel better
@@hec28827 It doesn't. They still have the same anger afterwards, you just end up dumb enough to apologize. It's always better to not apologize and leave them alone cause if not that anger is always gonna be held against you, which is part of it what leads to walking on egg shells. Their misery demands constant obeisance yet the misery never goes away.
