One thing I have to say. Bobby expressed that “girls” want/need the cuddles and attention and then later spoke about his inability to go and do things for the sake of the other person bc he simply just doesn’t want to. That is not a women thing. In any relationship wether it’s familial or romantic of friendly requires each person to do things for the others happiness even if it’s not something you want to do. If you don’t do that, it’ll begin to feel transactional rather than loving. If Bobby continues to refuse to do things for the other persons sake and only does things when HE wants to, he will never find a person. It’s hard to swallow but true.

At some point, if he continues with therapy, he will move from this point. It may not be a far move, but he will give something to have that connection. Now, his lady on the other hand, may need to draw some boundaries. This man clearly loves you but is not willing to pour into developing the relationship. But her go-with-the-flow personality is just too much for me to handle. She’s European, and constantly flip-flops on whether she’s going to stay in the states or leave depending on her mood. We stay in bed for hours on the weekend, until I eventually have to kick ourselves out and make sure we’re doing something, otherwise it feels like a waste. Throughout our entire relationship, I’ve always been the one to initiate texting/calling/planning because she’s just so aloof, loves nothing more than just spontaneously spending a day staring out at a skyline or up at the sky for hours while disregarding any real-life duties or experiences.
And this will be the end of our relationship - mark my words. Don’t get me wrong, I love those slow, stop the world and melt with you moments. But I also love the stimulating parts of life. We recently went on vacation together - the whole week she wanted to stay on the beach. I wanted to see stuff and work in time for the beach as we went along. In fact the first year we were married, we almost divorced. We went to counseling and the therapist told us he didn’t see us making it. My husband stood up, grabbed my hand and the then said to the therapist as he pulled me to the door, “ We are not listening to this shit!” In that moment we realized this was death do us part. Then last year my husband got sick and almost died from Covid. However, when I’m not working, I want to do what I want to do. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If I don’t have to, I shouldn’t have to force myself to be unhappy for a majority of my life. And right now, at 25, unless it was the right type of person, I wouldn’t want to be in a relationship. I don’t want to have to worry about a significant others feelings, wants, needs, both emotionally and physically. I am at least self aware enough to realize that right now I’m not interested in that. I really believe a relationship is not only about love. IT is love for the beginning but then you need to maintain the relationship and to make decisions.
At the end of the day I believe it's all about choices. It's not choices where you dont have a solution, it is choices that you take in how you'd maintain and feed the relationship.

I once had a friend who had the biggest crush on a mutual friend. He chose the friend zone and eventually stopped talking to her once she had a boyfriend. I asked him why he never made a move, he was good looking and funny. He said "she deserved better than me".

I can relate. I'm a pretty extreme introvert and a lot of my relationships failed because partners wanted / needed way more attention than I could give. I thankfully found someone very much like me and we go off and do our own thing, but then come back and share our adventures with each other. We've been happily married for 13 years and consider ourselves soulmates.

@@sweetembrace6706 Of course it can. Introverts can experience pretty significant exhaustion from human interaction. Even pleasant interaction with a beloved partner can be draining for a very introverted person. They need a lot of time to focus and recharge. So if you are paired with someone who requires A LOT of attention, that can be a recipe for disaster.

You could understand this relationship wasn’t a true relationship of intimacy just by periodically watching then interact on their show. But if that still didn’t do it then listening to the first few min of this podcast made it quite clear. In his effort to say all the great things about her and their relationship, he described his great fullness being 100% about how she resurrected his career. Not one thing about her as a person. That ain’t ever gonna do it brah.

I appreciate Bobby lees honesty, women today are pretty demanding and part of being a man is doing what a man's got to do, I'm 67 now and I would never be that open on a podcast, my advice is not to live with kaylla at all either your together or your not, tell her to move and do what you you want to do, honestly I question her motives, letting Jules play with a hugh knife on the bad friends podcast is irresponsible, I don't know your generation would be lost without the internet, cell phones, video games, etc. We had to make our own fun and be creative to find our own way and mostly we were on our own, but I have to say I love Bobby Lee, free yourself bro and get a new place and trick or out for 16 hours of video games, forget kaylyla and Jules you will be a happier person if your man enough, do it man style then the girls won't know what to do, cheers and good luck
