Bobby is always being cast on shows that fail. But to me, this 13 minutes is an IDEAL show for him and Theo. These guys are gold together. I could watch them do every day things together and it would be glorious.

Maybe not everything, but you're much better off assuming it is until proven otherwise. This is why reality T.V. is so big; it's why companies that sell food can get away with omitting ingredients through the use of clever wording, or just omit them completely.
I believe fake until proven real is a good life rule. If someone has motivation to sell you something, you can't believe what they tell you, the bias is obvious.

These guys are part of a large group of friends in the standup community and it's not unthinkable for Theo to have simply shown up to Bobby's house(with the permission of Khalayla of course) unbeknownst to Bobby to film the initial part of this skit.
Obviously once they get to the restaurant it's clearly planned out, but the whole bit when Bobby came home seemingly unaware that Theo would be there with a crew, could very well be a legitimate reaction, at least for those first few moments in the entrance of his apartment.
