That was my "...Holy shit." moment. Well, the first. The second was realizing the final model genuinely resembled an Elephant Mario to a degree I assumed was impossible, *_never mind_* well beyond Luke and Ellen's abilities to achieve.

Recently got a kitten, seems half the time she thinks Ellen's laugh is chirping so you gained an adorable fan
Luke should release a new album. A collection of his early demos, alternative lyrics, first takes etc and the cover art could be a picture of the elephants butt. The title of this album would be "bum notes".
All the intense close ups make this feel like a strange intimate and threatening cinematic experience. I feel DARED to question clay Mario and his fabulous bum

[Host opens envelope, looks baffled. Glances off to the side of stage with a questioning look. Receives confirmatory nod and thumbs up from production assistant. Faces back to camera with a look of resigned bewilderment. Takes deep breath and reads the card in a single run on sentence]
"Outside Xtra Show of the Weekend: Making elephant Mario out of clay open brackets we spent too long on the butt close brackets."
[Audience smile awkwardly, smattering of applause. Luke and Ellen run up the aisle, bound excitedly onto the stage. Luke removes a sheaf of papers from his pocket, clears his throat and begins his acceptance speech]

Clearly, making figures out of plasticine should now be the sole focus of this channel.
But where would we be without Pokemon quizzes and Lego?
This was 19 minutes of uninterrupted classic moments, but it's Ellen's Kubrick stare that sent me over the edge

The look Ellen gives at 12:12 with the hair over one eye is pure emo kid “don’t you dare disturb me while I’m crafting”
"You wouldn't understand my art. I'm not like other kids." We don't need to consider where Ellen got such fine scalpel control though. Presumably Jane prefers having an assistant sometimes in the cloning/vivisection lab.

@@green_dragon_knight well of course although I might pass on verifying that if it's alright with those present. They also have very active love lives because we've all seen internet mum play Two Point games. (also a xenomorph is traditionally a human hybrid as they come out differently from other host species implying their development is potentially a genetic amalgamation)
The last half of that was like watching surgery! Well done, that is truly an excellent clay model!

I recently saw North of the Border's clay rendition of Elephant Mario, and I think they sculpted the bum better than he did.

Ellen! When we said we should focus on the trunk, the most iconic part of any elephant, _that's __-not what we meant!-_ exactly what we needed! 😲
As soon as I saw the thumbnail for this episode, I thought: "Right, I'm going to watch it now!" And thankfully, it did not disappoint.
There were so many moments that made me laugh, but in particular.....Ellen, you sculpted Mario's butt to perfection!
As someone whose hobby is sculpting animals and creatures, I really enjoyed the work that was put into that magnificent creation.
You guys are amazing! Thanks for always brightening my day with your antics. :)
Elephant Mario looks a whole lot like a German children's entertainment character, actually - Benjamin Blümchen, a talking elephant living in a zoo in Neustadt and having all sorts of adventures. Like. Aside from the mustache the resemblance is _uncanny._
"A butterfly is just two elephant ears!" Having just finished a masters degree in biology, I can confirm that's how butterflies evolved.
Something about Ellen's eye makeup makes the look-up-through-the-lashes-under-the-fringe-while-slowly-humming-the-Mario-theme-under-her-breath-and-wielding-a-scalpel from 11:57 to 12:17 super duper creepy.

As someone who spent years specializing in miniature sculptures in clay, I find myself impressed, agogged and aghast, and homesick for ceramics by these videos where they build things out of clay.

You should use a random number generator from 1-1010, and whatever dex number it lands on is the Pokémon you have to sculpt using this play dough.
I can think of a certain sculptor of clay that would appreciate the effort put into Mario's bum. 10/10 content yet again!
You know, a lot of times quality of life upgrades like this can honestly make a given show you've been watching lose some of its charm, but the move from Play-Doh to plasticine has done nothing but improve both the quality of the projects and the quality of the content, so I'm here for it
There is I've point when you see the backside of all mario characters in various forms, when they enter a door. I think the elephant characters even have a special animation
