Ruslan he is just like a machine I have never seen a fighter ever with a chin like this guy has he just breaks everybody down that he gets in the ring with it doesn't matter how many punches you land on this guy he just keeps coming forward no one can hurt him this guy has the most unbelievable chin on a boxer that I have ever seen he can absorb all those punches and keep coming forward unbelievable

Fighters like Alvarado are one of the greatest things about boxing, the guys who rise up out of cities not known for boxing or cities who haven't had a guy to get behind in decades. I love when a guy has a sort of cult following that transcends his talent, it seems to make the Fighter into something greater. Mickey Ward in Lowell, Kelly Pavlik in Youngstown... Alvarado and denver reminded me of that.

It always makes me nervous when one fighter is winning a fight in the first half and the fighter who’s loosing keeps inching closer and closer and has not lost momentum, it’s only a matter of time. I’d be nervous being a trainer.
I remember Alvarado's trainer skewering him after this, saying, "He beat Rios by outboxing him, now he thinks he's Sugar Ray Robinson! I told him he needed to go to war, not get cute and think he's so slick he can be like Sugar Ray!" and I always thought that was kinda shitty. YOU try to go to war vs. Provodnikov then. Poor Bradley had brain damage after doing that. And when he did it vs Rios in the 1st fight he lost!
