This man helped the Great Sport of Boxing evolve through out the years he spent committed to making it The Greatest Sport on the Planet! So much respect for Mr. Marquez and thanks for all he has done for boxing, so pleased that he is able to retire with his health and hope he enjoys retirement.

Bradley had amazing hand speed and was a smart aggressor I honestly can't see why he lacked a real fanbase. He's also stood and banged with the best just to prove a point. I honestly believe he should be a HOF

This was a very underrated victory from Timothy Bradley that he doesn't get enough credit for. People must of forgot that this was the same version of Marquez that knocked Pacquiao out in their 4th fight and he also had Angel Memo Herdia as his strength and conditioning coach for the Bradley fight. People also forget that Marquez didn't want to adhere to any VADA testing for this fight with Bradley because VADA does Carbon Isotope Ratio and Memo knew he would of got popped if they would of did it,(That's the real reason why) so he only decided to do USADA and that's because there's ways to be the test, and a TUE is one of the remedies, not only that, they allow a 6.1 limit, which is a lot higher than what VADA allowed which was only a 4.1.
The boxing commission threaten to strip Bradley of his title of he didn't take the fight because he opted not to take the fight once he found out Marquez didn't want to do VADA testing and only USADA. They played Bradley going into this fight. Bradley however did both VADA and USADA for this fight and he still defeated Juan Manuel Marquez, which is why this victory gets over looked. It's a lot more impressive when you look at all of those factors. Marquez went on to destroy Mike Alvarado after this fight with Bradley and than retire.
Bottom line is Bradley got destroyed by Pacquiao in both fights and thus this "victory " lost value for Bradley, because despite all your excuses Marquez clearly defeated Paquiao and as we say Marquez was the man who got to laugh last and retired on top.

The commentators were clearly fans of Bradley. Bradley was a hell of a boxer but these guys were so enamored with him that they convinced themselves that Bradley dominated. He didn't. Marquez did a hell of a job. To watch this match, one needs to turn the volume off to not get convinced of something it wasn't.

Bradley is such an unorthodox fighter who Marquez never figured out. Bradley had him confused and off his game plan. The last round was a perfect example when JMM was pushing forward in a last ditch effort and got caught with a left hand and almost went down. JMM looked old for much of the fight, but I caught glimpses of his once brilliant mastery of the game. Great fight!,

116-112 Bradley. Way closer fight then I originally remembered. Some of these rounds were really close and it just kinda depends on what you liked. Personally I thought Bradley just landed more, made Marquez miss, and was the most effective.

Why does it go over people's heads that Marquez was 40 years old? Yes, a 39 year old KTFO of Pacquiao and a year later, he had a close fight against a prime Bradley. That goes to show how special this guy was.

I don’t think I’ve remember any other time the narratives were soo localist, it’s almost like a soccer game at Argentina vs Argentina, whoever the rival team could be. Like dawn evey punch maquez landed they were like “ohh that punch didn’t have nothing on Bradley tho, but gotta remember the crown here will celebrate absolutely everything from Marquez” but they saw every single bradly punch as 2 points each, every single one f them highlighted!
