I have a 2016 Outlaw XP that I bought new with the Vanguard 36 hp engine.
In its 8th season of mowing and I am extremely satisfied with this mower.
I follow the factory maintenance schedule to the T, run nothing but non ethanol gas and this thing has never quit on me. Literally nothing has broken down on it even though I mow several tough acres every week.
It is nice to see all of the improvements that Bad Boy has made to their mowers since 2016. Really wish mine had the independent suspension on it that these new ones do.

Looks like they done away with one feature I really liked, the flat foot deck. The old outlaws you didn't have to step over anything like rails. You stepped up on a flat deck without the recess down below the rails. Nobody else had that, now bad boy don't either.

Nice review. I did however notice you said that BB was a 15 year old company. I believe they started in 1998.

    I bought a 62" deck renegade with 37hp vanguard.
I was sold on the 14gauge deck but the grass shroud inside the deck is thin and is bending back into my blades on minimal incursions. Why so thin and why not box it in with the front lip of the deck ?? Very poor design on such a heavy duty mower $$$

Would have liked it if you had talked about where the oil filter is on this unit vs. the Rogue. It's different it's on the back of the Renegade. Would have liked to know how to drain the oil too. I would have liked to have known that this unit has a 50ft pounds heavier commercial Warner PTO Clutch on it and a hydraulic oil cooler. Also whether or not having the exhaust up higher than the Rogue would have made it louder or not. Would like to know have known if it had kevlar belts on it. You didn't talk about the hydraulic system having 2 pulleys on it--nor did you really talk about the KEY FOB either. Thanks!

Kudos to Bad Boy! A REAL commercial mower will NEVER have a vertical shaft engine! Great to see they decided to use the mule drive that was popular with Exmark about 10-15 years ago. Replacing a belt is way cheaper and quicker than fiddling with a burned up gearbox (Toro/Scag).

Does the deck flip up 90 degrees for under deck cleaning and Blade removal? If not why not?

You'd want one that has a floating deck so it won't scalp as bad.

Glad I watched this. Looking to replace my Hustler Fastrak SD. I had been considering a Renegade among a couple others. Not after watching this. There are way too many plastic gimmicky parts to break. The deck pulleys look cheap even with their faux chrome finish. Doesn't look like a comfortable seat position, unless the floor board moves forward much more. I like a more straight leg position like sitting in a recliner. What really made my mind up was the "WHEELIE TEST". The front end of that thing comes up way to easy to mow any kind of slope. My Fastrak will barely lift the front tires a couple inches. Not because it does not have the power it is just balanced better. It stays planted and I can mow some pretty steep hills if I go forward up and then backwards going down. Very rarely does the front get light enough to lift. I guess it will be the Hustler Super Z HD or Scag Turf Tiger 2 for my upgrade. As much as I wanted to like this I don't think it is ready to compete with the commercial mowers. BTW you may want to edit the "WHEELIE TEST" out of the video.

They don't respond to replies here either even after time has gone by since they did their video. I even emailed them to ask which they sold more of Rogue vs. Renegade and why? I got no response from this dealer. Speaks loudly to me anyway. I agree with your post- These are not made for wheelies. Why they thought it was "Cute" do do with machines like these is beyond me.
