People getting along and being wholesome are good moments too, but the brain always goes towards the outrageous and ridiculous memories first, they just seem to be rather memorable. Since there are so many data analysts and marketing experts working with the production of these shows they immediately give advice after each episode, when the views and ratings spike after an episode containing something outrageous, surprising, or controversial, what do you imagine they say as feedback? Not really on any side, people will do what they do, that's why it's better to watch shows like breaking bad and other fictional stories with a narrative, not reality TV where producers are fishing for any piece of content they can get.
