- A few times a year i take inventory of my power tools. See what needs repair, what is missing and what tools you really don't need. It's a good way to make sure you have what is yours and to make sure tools are in operational order.
I chose to use mostly Milwaukee M18 and M12 tools along with Makita XGT 40v cordless tools. In my opinion, Makita makes the best cordless miter saws on the market.

@@RenovationsandRepair have you ever thought about getting battery adapters for the couple tools that aren’t in the Milwaukee brand but you like too much to get rid of them I use them on tons of stuff also let’s buy whatever tool I think works best not just whatever the brand offers
So how do you like your makita miter saw? Have you had any issue with a scooped cut or out of alignment for the slide cuts? Also, did you get the stainless steel detent plate to replace the aluminum one?
I’ve heard you speak about using subs instead of employees. Would/do you sub out demo? I’m considering starting a demo business but unsure how many contractors would sub that. Thanks!
I have one demo sub i can use for demo if needed. They do abatement, general demo and heavy equipment demo. Very versatile. The best thing about them is I have never seen a cleaner job site after they finish.
Usually hiring that out is a bit more expensive than employees or maybe having the framers do the demo.
Yes absolutely, but I wouldn’t just do demo, I would also offer say insulation install and a few other skill sets you can bring to the table to help out the contractor you are subcontracting to along with keeping yourself a bit more busy.
This video could have only been 7 minutes long and contained the same information if you had stopped saying the same things over and over again.
