Nice video, brings back a lot of memories...did this in the 90's, same kit with the P600B blower unit and twin intercoolers. Back then, you also had to punch a hole in the oil pan. I ended up breaking 3 pistons at 9 lbs boost. I rebuilt the engine in 1999 with forged pistons and h beam rods. Then ran 12 lbs boost with a 12 rib belt. It made 525 rwhp with longtube headers and twin cats, blower cam, ported heads.. By this time, you should have installed a roll cage because the torque will twist the car. Keep in mind, the centrifugal will make noise, after awhile I got sick of it and switched to a vortech helical cut gearblower. It seemed to run better, making more low end torque. I hated their water-to-air cooler though and ended up selling that. I still have the blower though.

For the second Dyno run with the Procharger installed you took the rpms all the way up to almost 7k!! Even the first dyno was a bit high. How are you able to get those additional RPM's and have it not cause engine damage or a floating valve. Can the stock engine take that? I have a 383ci 97 trans am and defiantly looking into one of these kits.

I have done many of these kits over the years and pro-charger is one of the better company's out there ..... only a few draw backs ... unless you spend a ton of money over there their customer service is a little "snobby" and replacement parts (example like their pulley tensioner and pulley which always blow up or separate at the wrong time) are extremely expensive ... ..... also anther quick note on these systems ... they always seem to shred belts anything over 6 pounds main reason is that the brackets flex under load ... what most do is order a 12 rib pulley set up and use a 6 - 8 rib belt so that when the brackets flex there is room for the belt to move .... trust me its a pain in the but to be fooling around a a back road and loose a belt

Definitely learned something. But I would do several things differently. Use a decent crimptool, solder the wires, cover the wires for protection and use treaded nuts. All for a cleaner install and to be sure the wires are water proof. But have to say impressive results in increasing the hp's.

So you would buy the supercharger from us and we'd mail it to you, and then you would have a local performance shop install it for you. You'd have to contact them to find out what their labor charge would be.

Also would not run a fmu a simple upgrade fuel pressure regulator on fuel rail more simple setup and more reliable... Fmu are unrelable and don't work very good for anything more the 8psi

That fmu reminds me of when the kids get there first car and start modifying it. They be like bro, I just got a fuel pressure regulator and cranked it up to 11! Meanwhile your car's computer is like hey, what's going on and then retards the timing and such.
The correct way to do this is, size your injectors accordingly, use a map sensor with a lower bar capability and then get the car to the Dyno. Or bring it straight to the Dyno and let them have a good laugh and have them fix it right for you.

6-8 psi is what I have always heard is safe for unmodified performance engines.
275HP is misleading. Every dyno will give you different numbers. So when dyno tuning you need to use the same one over and over. If stock Im guessing that dyno is reading a little high.
