This is the best video on CZcams to remove the Alternator also from the 2002 model. I checked out the others, aren’t any good. Follow and review a few times, lay out your few tools needed and take your time. Take break , have a coffee and have fun. I went to a junk yard for practice on a good day. Car’s front end for off of the ground. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Man great video, I’ll be doing this job tomorrow and videoing it on my 99 Deville. I’ve done the same thing before with the 4th bolt on a different car, I was 100% sure it would just go in fine until it didn’t lol

What kind of diagnosing would you do prior to this alternator replacement?

Make sure you have battery voltage to the main wire on the back of the alternator and a good case ground the other thing that I would check with depend on year make and model

What tool did you use to remove the Two upper 15mm bolts in the rear, especially the one far back that only came out so far
