Amazing, Ser Davos can play Shoegaze too!!
🤣🤣🤣
That is an amazing sounding beast. Pure quality!
Awesome sounding pedal! Thanks for the honest demo, Bill!
Really great demo you did sir. Thanks so much
I have one of these on it's way to me, very excited to dive in. Great demo.
I love your reviews and demos. You have inspired me so much! This reverb is the best I've heard. I'm looking for 2-in-1 pedals both for economic and versatility reasons. So glad you pointed out the Immerse is buffered. That qualifies it 2-in-1 in my book. Stellar tone and playing. Thank you for this!
stunning pedal, love it
Best reverb on the market.
It’s crazy how musically it responds to your playing. The customer support @ Neunaber is as good as it gets. Wonderful folks. All around a great experience.
Couldn't agree more!
Beautiful sounding pedal
Fantastic tone!!
Dude, your tone is STELLAR, and this pedal is your very good friend; well done.
Killer demo thanks from England ✌️🖤✨
Thanks!
Great as always! Would really love to hear you demo some Meris pedals, particularly the Mercury 7 or Polymoon, but an Enzo demo would be rad too!
Beautiful demo! Hands down the best compact reverb pedal ever! The MK2 is worth the extra pennies. 100%wet capabilities and improved sustain modes. One day I'll be able to afford it.
This channel is such an inspiration, Im on nightshift and boy can I not wait for tomorrow I will play. Then Start my Ambient journey Monday when my Tempus arrives, had I seen this review first I would have bought this! But I know Tempus is great too!
You will be very happy with the Tempus. Congratulations!!
Looks an awesome pedal. I was looking for the Strymon Bluesky and then I've stumbled upon this one.
That shimmer is just incredible!
I think I like it better than the MK 1 shimmer!
Liked that plate. Nice and deep!
I Like the Neunaber MK II. I got bothe original and MK II on my wish list and the Inspire Chorus too. Gotta hand it to ya, that sustain mode really drones. And that shimmer settin' is really really cool!
Demos start at 2:37, Davos starts at 0:00
lol, that's not too bad considering other youtubers
I appreciate your reviews. They are detailed and include, of course, a lot of demo with guitar that really pushes them. I know you're independent, but I guess disclosure is always good :D
Thanks!
Thank you Sir Davos. Neunaber is comming
Nice!
Just pre-ordered this. Can't wait til it ships.
Sweet!
well how does it do after a few months of using it? I just pre ordered one in our local reseller!
The pedal sounds really great. I had the original Immerse and really loved it except that it would not go past 50% wet so I got a Neunaber Slate and love it.
Couldn't justify the extra expenditure after you convinced me to get the original immerse.
So I got a DD-500, MD-500 and an RV-500.
Yer, the joys of getting old!
Yeah - I think you are good to go! 😎
Awesome demo. I like it. I have the stereo wet. And it is always on!
Very interesting. I was just looking at this pedal a day or two ago. Due to limited finances, I'll have to purchase a used but loved mk1 version and if I grow to really love it and need more, I will get the the 2nd generation version as well. I was weighing in between NUX Atlantic which is a really good mid priced pedal, and some other modulated reverbs and reverb/delays of the boutique variety EQD and such. I think hat this pedal however, just has such solid powerful selections of ambient and usable reverb for my Amp heads which are seldom used these days being modelers are my main source of go to these days. However, I do plug in to the big boys when I want that particular wall of pain and the need to feel the notes resonate through my body. Ear plugs and attenuator included of course. Great Demo.Thank You !
Awesome tones... reminds me a lot of what I get out of Eventide's Blackhole reverb !
Very cool. The Blackhole is no slouch. I don't have the pedal, but love, love, love the plugin!

Awesome....just....Awesome.......
Hi Bill,
Thank you alot for the great demo! I have been following you for the last few months and i really like your approach to Ambient music. I just bought the Neunaber Immerse 2 weeks ago for €240. And just a couple of days later i read the announcement of the MKII. I was in love with the pedal even before your demo and now, thanks to your demo i am absolutely smitten with the pedal. I already own 12 different reverb pedal. My question is, do you think they will work good together? The MKI and MKII? I know this is mostly a personal preference but i am curious about your opinion.
Got one today and the neuron gain intelligence Neunaber know what they’re doing great and sublime playing btw
The MkII is amazing!!! I’d love the spring to sound more like a tank(drip please!), but the W3T, plate and shimmer are worth it alone.
Dude, that PRE baritone guitar with P90s sounds sick. Wow.
Oh, and the pedal is nice too! 👍🏼
5:55 - for about 45 seconds sounded like me jamming with my Aria 16 second looper delay through my Fender Bandmaster head (reverb built in)... no joke. It was 1984. Id just started learning sus2 chords because I loved RUSH! Anyway... thanks for bringing me back to my teenage years. Nothing like playing like no one was listening!! Love your PRS!
Yours, Vernon's, and Robben's (and Santana's, of course) are the only ones I've heard that I really like.
🎶💙🎶
nice vdo ,clear english n clear guitar sound playing...keep it up sir..
Thanks very much!!
I bought one. Thanks for the information. DVB.
This sounds way better than my hof2.
Great stuff! I would really like to know how are you recording this, just a mic to amp? DI? It sounds awesome!
Cool demo ! I just did demo too for the W3T algorithm of Immerse MKII
Tnx a lot for the demo (and all the others ) ! Prefer this above the Strymon time machine. (less digital sounding)
Nice playing :) Do you have any lessons about ambient guitar :) Thank you
Can you do a comparison of the older stereo wet/immerse wet, also with full depth?
Fantastic video, can I also ask what mic you use to record your voice? It sounds very good
I just got a Boss Terra Echo pedal and am looking for a reverb now, i was considering the RV-6 ..... but this one .... oh my .... Thank You for showing us it Bill :)
Or you get them both :) Bet they will sound amazing together!
Now that is a great idea :)
@@StrainCheck420 Yes i have no doubt! I own more then 10 reverbs, that might be a little much for some people, and i understand that. But i never regret buying any of them cheap & expansive They all have their own unique characteristics. I also have the Boss RV6 and the Tera echo. I personally think they sound incredible together. Also tryd the RV6 with Immerse (version 1) IN-FREAKIN'-CREDIBLE. No doubt the RV6 and Immerse MKII will sound out of this world!
delicate sound of thunder vibes
my favorite pedal company, "New neighbor"
yep: that is the way the owner of the company pronounces his last name.
Hi thanks for the video I wanted to ask if you can sing with microphone schure dynamic supercardiode with canon attack is not Jack attack, if you can explain me how? Thanks
Goddamit I just bought the mk 1 last week, think a return is on the cards !!!!
But now after watching the video the only thing I dont like better in the new version is the shimmer, I prefer mk i''s . mk ii's is really good, but it sounds lacking in something in comparison, I'll maybe keep it even with the mix knob 'problem'
If you purchased the pedal directly from our website, please contact us to learn about how you can exchange your pedal for a MK II.
no I bought mine from andertons , cool that you're doing that though, and andertons do have a very good return policy , but I am still very happy with the MK I and probaably keep it
@@tharsgaard663 Don't return mk1 I have it too and I wont buy the mk2,mki is perfect for me.Anyway I have a bunch of other reverb pedals, just wanted to have that neunaber reverb algorithms, there you go mki.
Hi man, i LOVE your channel^^. (just the other day you literally SAVED me from buying a certain TC-electronics Pith effect^^ I now LOVE my pith fork thanks to you^^)
Sooooo, MY question about the neunaber is concerned with the signal-chain-switching capabilitys of that pedal. I really want to buy it for it´s great form-factor, but there are some things that drove me crazy in the past, an so i would LOVE for you to share your insights on the following stuff! (especialli since it´s like REAL hard to find that kind of information at ALL !!) :
#01-can it merge stereo back to mono?
#02-can it do that without affecting the signal in any way (like, when ist´s swichted off, or in an always on but "kill wet" kind a way) ?
#03-can you get an "sort-of-expression-pedal" capability, by putting a volume pedal upfront in the chain ?
#04-is it a real stereo pedal, processing each signal seperately?
#05- in how far could one try to affect each signal differently in a paralell processing setup (wet/dry split upfront the chain, both signalpaths with seperate boost/cut possibility)?
BTW, my pedal board is NOT all that big at all. (8 FX + Tuner + Looper...) but since i use it for guitar, bass, vocals and a digeridoo, i really run into such signal-pathy stuff a lot..........
Anyway, thank you everyone for any kind of information to this thread^^
That shimmer is out of this world. You can get this pedal only for the shimmer effect, and it would be ok.
It is a very nice shimmer for sure!
Hello! Say please can this pedal freeze effect? I correct understand??? And what better big sky freeze or sustain neunaber??? Sorry i speak English bad
FRONT of the amp or in EFFECT loop?
Are echo repeats stereo? do they jump from left to right?
I have an impossible choice to make right now, for what to do for my main digital reverb pedal. I'm choosing between this, (Neunaber Immerse MkII), the Earthquaker Afterneath, the Walrus Slo, Walrus Fathom, Red Panda Context V2, and Ocean's 11. I already have a Walrus Lore, which covers a lot of good reverse reverb effects in combo with delay and octave or pitch shift. I also have a Neunaber Seraphim V2, so I already have shimmer reverb and a high quality wet reverb from that Neunaber pedal. I also have a Fender Tre-Verb which covers everything I need for spring reverb and tremolo effects, so I don't need a reverb pedal to do anything with spring or tremolo.
... Speakin' of which:
I don't think you ever did a review on the Walrus Lore! Is that one in the pipeline?
I bought the first one when you advertised that one. It’s great why buy another one !
Great pedal! I would like to see, if possible, a comparison with the Ocean reverb of Electro Harmonix
I love the original..if something happened to it, I would upgrade to the mk2.
Man man that shimmer... 😮
Ohmy, that shimmer is a transportation device.
Hi Bill,
I am in a real quandary....I just got the immerse mk1 this week on the strength of you using it with a strymon dig to create ambient music. It's a great pedal but please what do you think is the best pedal for ambient music, the mk1 or mk2? I think I still have chance to return the mk1 and change it for the mk2.
Please help!
They are both great, but the Mark 2 has a mix knob that can go all the way wet, and it has more headroom in the circuit that can make it better for some effects loops, and of course the differences in the reverb types. You might want to watch Antoine Michaud's vid comparing the 2: czcams.com/video/85-QGIhSlsc/video.html
Than you for your reply, Bill...I've actually watched this video and it does seem to be a deal-breaker for the mark 2....@@chordsoforion
abraços do Brazil.
Obrigado!
Tamo junto!
That shimmer reverb is beautiful! Now all it needs is presets and a looper...$500 later 😪
It’s true. If you really need midi, then there’s other expensive options that take up varying degrees of pedal board real estate. But sound wise, It beats both skys and the R1.
Shimmer! It's like 5 people playing at once.
Plate at 4:25 😲👌
which are the other pedals on your chain?
greetings!
It's all in the video description, but here it is:

i'm having trouble with this pedal being insanely quiet. Is there any way to make it louder?
I just have a high volume on my Amp and turn up the volume on my Bass if I want extra..I did notice Sustain mode is the loudest, the mix knob can be really cranked for high volume.
Bill- can this pedal be put AFTER the strymon iridium or hx stomp in an effect chain. I
ask because i know the iridium does not have an effects loop.
yes indeed. I do it all the time.
Thank you Bill!
Hi Bill, Thanks again for a great demo. I bought the original after your Immerse demo and love it although I can't seem to stray away from the plate and hall! They should have called it the 'Inception' pedal because you seem to loose days of your life just playing about in there. . . . .
Ain't that the truth!!
Is it just me or when I max out depth on sustain mode it turns off the pedal...??
CARAI KKKKKKKKKKK ESSE PLATE REVERB AI DO CARALHO
Does the pedal have soft touch / clickless switch?
All their units are soft touch, like the TC units.
Super soft
Why keep turning up both mix and depth? How does it sound with high mix/low depth, for instance?
I like to turn the mix and depth up to hear the essence of the reverb tone more clearly.
That’s what I mean! When you have mix low, you can’t hear what low depth sounds like...
In your opinion, does the neunaber have better sound quality than the blue sky?
I thought it was perfect when someone said "The Big Sky shows it to you. The immerse takes you there."
@@enkiea8322 mmm not really, still nothing touches the magical trials on the bigsky.
Love my Immerse. Its always-on for me, usually the Plate setting. It's either mix at 2 o'clock and depth at 10 o'clock for a really rich background depth, or turn up the mix to 3-4 and the depth to 2-3 for the huge cavern sounds. You need the tone really low to hear this pedal at its best--this is way too high throughout. Something the Mk I misses is a pre-delay control for the Hall; its very nice but it needs pre-delay to work. You can get an awesome subtle room sound with the Wet at high mix and very low depth. As others have said, the Spring emulation kinda sucks...
Well think it sounds good but it’s hard to tell with all the distortion on the guitar. Would have liked to hear with a clean tone to get a better idea of how the reverb decay sounds.
Cool Bill . More reverb please lol you can just get lost in reverb and delay
indeed!
Anyone know if the bluesky does 100% wet? or is this a better option for that?
I don't own the Blue Sky, so can't compare, but the Blue Sky does do 100% wet: www.strymon.net/manuals/blueSky_UserManual.pdf
I own it and yes it does 100% wet and let me tell you,the bluesky is the most realistic of them all,I have also mk1 and bigsky, blue sky is if you want super realistic sounding reverbs.BigSky is also very realistic but it is more for long decayed reverbs,mk1 is amazing ofcourse on the level of bigsky and bluesky altough I hear difference In the trails.
Does anyone know the max decay (release) time
Infinite
Great Demo, but please demo the Pedal with a clean sounding guitar!
I always just kind of take the source tone with a grain of salt. And I kinda like that he uses a little grit in the mix as it hints as to what it would sound like distorted. IMHO I think it's a happy medium!
Rolf Dinter all reverb pedal demos are made with clean guitars, i want to hear what they sound like with high gain
Is it worth getting the 2 or the first is not very different?
They are certainly simialr. Best thing to do is go to the Neunaber web site and look at the features to see if the Mkii has something you really have to have (like 0% to 100% on the mix knob). If not, then the original will work just fine.
I had the first version and sold because I have the Lee Jackson reverb ( spring) and is much better. Totally analogic and gives that presence up to the sound like tank reverts does
God...I wish this unit had midi SO BADLY. It’s the first reverb that I’ve heard which has made me say definitively “ok....this sounds good enough to replace my hardwire supernatural. But I’ve also promised myself that my next reverb pedal would be midi controllable. My mods and delay are all programmable via the switcher but no small box, midi reverb has really grabbed me sonically. I’m just not sold on the specular tempus for whatever reason. Every demo I’ve heard sounds kind of gimmicky and soulless. Deep and transportive...that’s the key. That’s what this sounds like.
One of things I love about the Immerse (in addition to the heavenly sounds) is the ease and simplicity of use. Unless you are playing out love a bunch, it's really not a big deal to reach down and twist a knob.
Chords Of Orion
Yeahh, that’s the issue. Under normal circumstances, I’m out 3-4 times a week for work. Midi makes life a lot easier for that
100% wet.
I’m sold.
Que afinação está sua guitarra ?
The tuning is BEADF#B.
Essa é Baritone
Why the decay times so long. Usually you can’t use those ever lasting reverbs in normal gig.
I don't play normal gigs.
the sustain revrb algorithm can be achieved on bigsky by the freeze function, still cant touch it,no midi controllable,no presets ect, ect. What next mk3?
Wonderful... Except that Spring Reverb. Simply does not sound like any digital or in-amp Spring that I have ever heard. Too... bland,
I think I agree with your assessment - it is probably not the best choice for a classic spring reverb sound. That being said, I am usually not a big fan of spring reverbs, but like this one a lot.
At high setting it sounds like another shimmer... its better to my ears at low settings to use with a drive.
This one or Ventris?
It all depends on what you are looking for in a reverb and if the higher cost of the Ventris is worth it to you.
@@chordsoforion Well, I guess Im looking for quality sounds. Sold my reverb Empress and purchased the Ventris (specially for E dome and Spring mode) but I found it some... sterile maybe. I am using just two or three engines, and I guess I can save some space. In your demo, I feel almost I can touch the sound, but you are a great player and it may be biasing my thoughts about the Immerse. Thanks for your help!
Nothing beats Strymon Big Sky
1:38
I like it but there is something wrong with the setting, maybe it is the overdrive or your tone setting. The reverb seems to have too much presence and gets over the guitar character. I should be curious to hear again with a clean tone setting. But thanks for sharing!
Maybe I'm hung up but companies who keep hitting me with "V2's" and "MKIII'S" and "knob mods" turn me off. Not to say that Neunaber is necessarily bad with that but for me it's like, make a pedal, get it right, live with it. Make something new. It's a kick in the balls to buy a $2-300 pedal just to have an improved V2 come out 18 months later. That said, the Immerse needed the extra headroom. It was the only knock on an otherwise killer reverb.
still it is.I power mine by 9v power supply ,but it can be powered by 12V so I suppose the headroom is there haven't tried tough but wil.
@@savanaviolenta Yeah, that would be great! Let me know the results!
Do you send the demo pedal back to the company after you review it for this video? If the answer is no then you are in fact getting paid with a free pedal and would likely not get a future unit from the company if this review is less than positive. Let’s be honest.
I've wanted to be 100% wet for a long time too . It's the only way to be.
JK 60% has worked well TBH.
Man I hate that riff now
Just so you know, it's pronounced noy nah bur.
I use Brian Neunaber's pronunciation: czcams.com/video/7uGUg6uFA28/video.html
