We finally got around to playing Doom, which is one of our most requested games. My boyfriend has already played it a ton, so this time I got in the driver seat. It was awesome! This game is my newest favorite shooter.

Lmao I've played through Doom like 15 times, and I always do 100% completion.
Easily have 300+ hours, it's one of the most replayable games I own. 200 hours, those are rookie numbers...

That’s actually what I love about the story. It’s actually a really well-written, immersive, and brilliantly-delivered story with really interesting twists and implications. And you can just play like Doom Guy who doesn’t give a single shit about it other than “I hate demons, there’s demons in that room, and now there aren’t”
All she wanted was to enjoy a leisurely bike ride through the Titans Realm but that asshole Doomslayer couldn't even let her have that.

Ironically enough a previous incarnation of the Doomguy, mentioned on the Doom64 manual, had a case of PTSD after the events of Doom and Doom2 that didn't get properly treated before going back to fight the Mother Demon's forces

It got me to 100 hours with only like 15 of that in multiplayer. Played it... ten times? My time in Doom 1 and 2 with mods is easily closer to 1000+

Vaishnav That opening though was so convincing that I believed I was watching an Alien Isolation review & was confused that it really turned out to be Doom.
The Alien franchise influenced the original Doom, so I figured there was an actual tie in and kept trying to figure out how that was going to work haha.
