CRF450RL GET SX1 Tight Woods Riding | Does It Tractor Now?

  • Hey all, I got the GET SX1 ECU from Taco Moto (Tacomoto.co) to solve the flameout and snatchy throttle issues with my 2022 CRF450L. While yes, it absolutely turns the bike into a tractor and makes it so you don't even need a flywheel weight, my experience with this ECU is not without issues.
I'll get into it in a later video about why I don't have the WR250R or the Tenere 700 anymore, but the focus of this video is to mainly talk about the ECU for this bike. Mike Spurgin at Tacomoto really seems to know his stuff. I'm not going to get into technical details, but rather just talk about my experience with this new ECU.
I'll be frank, I love this bike with the new ECU. It's like a 2024 KTM 500EXC-F but Honda badged and mega reliable. Everything about it is pretty great.

I luv your content, just put the Get from taco Mike in tonight, did you leave the lid on the air box or go topless? I was hoping to talk with Mike but haven’t been able to speak with anyone, they must be busy right now , also did you add the graves plate they talk about? Braaap, keep that content flowing, loving it

Appreciate ya man. I went topless and got the graves plate. I also tried to get a hold of them, but they’re impossible to get thru to.

Nice. I got the vortex ecu in 2021 for my 2021 450rl and it’s been great. There weren’t any other options at that time. Everyone says the GET and the AIM are even better, I’d be interested to ride one with a different ecu to compare. The rl is a great bike though, deservedly gets a lot of flack for the stock ecu but it’s a fantastic bike once that’s swapped out.

Have they fixed that with the 2024?

I'm from Texas, but took my CRF450L to Wisconsin last summer and went to the Tamaracks OHV trails, based off of what I saw in your videos. I had a good time and enjoyed the trails there. My CRF450L has the AIM ECU. I find, if anything, my bike runs super lean with the fast idle and I rarely have to use it. Whenever I do, the header pipe starts glowing red in seconds. What trails were you riding in this video and what handlebar do you have?

That’s awesome! Glad to hear you like it! In this video I was at knobby ridge close to neilsville wi.

I got the Vortex for my 22RL and man it's better but I ride super slow technical stuff where I can barely blip it every so often and even with the vortex it's too jerky still. Wish I would have got the GET.
