    At one point in the game Natalie KOS her own chansey with alakazams power but the card reads explicitly that you can’t do that!! This wouldn’t have changed the result of the game however as I would have been forced to ko the chansey with my hitmonchan and things would have proceeded the same. Thanks for the catch guys!

    Stall decks are great. I remember as a teen that I had a deck utilising Dark Tyranitar to wear down the opponent's deck. Didn't always work, but the damage Dark Tyranitar dealt meant you didn't have to rely on just stalling; you could switch strategy if you had the right Trainer cards. I'll have to try to remember what that old deck's build was.

    Gyarados works better with blastoise's rain dance, you need more speed. In other format you can use gyarados and alakazam but with aerodactyl Neo, combine the Pokemon powers, so gyarados can use rage of magikarp and control the damage

    • @Mitjitsu
      @Mitjitsu Před 4 lety +1

      Rain Dance decks didn't come good until it got decent partners in fossil. Namely Lapras and Articuno. Electabuzz is a major problem for Raindance decks. Both Electabuzz and Hitmonchan can get knockouts right away due to the best water attackers being evolution's.

    • @connorism69
      @connorism69 Před 2 lety

      @@Mitjitsu Not sure I agree there, though it's definitely a fair point. I think it depends on what role the Blastoise is going to play in the deck. You could use it similarly to how the Alakazams were used here (i.e., not intending to use it to attack). Pop a Squirtle on the Bench when your hand is loaded with Energy cards, then use Pok'emon Breeder to evolve it into a Blastoise, allowing you to attach a massive number of Energy cards to Gyarados in one go, and then you can always use a Scoop Up or save a Switch card to keep it out of harm's way. If your opponent has been saving up Energy Removal cards for this contingency, a Lass would be a good card to throw down right at that moment.

    Natalie needs to pump the energy cards, don't be afraid. Eventually Andrew is all our energy removal. Otherwise, you are still in the problem. You don't have the time to put energy cards on it.....
    One energy card on the turn....

    For anyone reading who is playing Pokemon TCG without using turn 1 supporters because they say in this video that that'a not allowed, STOP! You CAN play 1 Supporter card ANY turn, including first turn, otherwise Lillie makes no sense!

      Pretty sure Lillie is referring to the 1st turn of whoever goes 2nd.

    I love the commentary for the most part, just don't like when Andrew plays both sides. Its a little redundant to watch someone duel themselves. Great video either way I'm gonna watch a bunch of these.

    I wanna point out how Natalie cheated by knocking out her own Chansey because the Alakazam says you can’t knock out your own Pokémon. Sorry, Andrew technically won because it changed the entire game state…

    If they didn’t shuffle for 5 minutes. And if he didn’t talk about absolutely nothing the entire game it would be a great video

      As someone who was a dumb 5 year old who didn't understand how the TCG worked when this set was current, I appreciate the commentary.
      I will also ALWAYS encourage everyone to shuffle their hand around like Brian Kibler whenever possible, so...
