Your actually going insane 💯
The truth is "insane"
So underrated that Crazy K story was basically God trying to give him a second chance had he admitted and come to terms that his actions of crime and killing was wrong but he didn’t take responsibility which ultimately lead to his demise
Yup. She was God. Notice her staff/ the angels wore white.
@@ggyugcxzzf and she kept calling his name towards the end when he was lashing out as if she legit was trying to Warn/Save Him

Facts smh 🤦♂️he wast a lost soul and chose to be with Mr. Simms the devil 😈himself
That's the same thing I told a friend of mind
Not only is this movie a horror hood classic but each story has a valuable message behind it which still goes on today in the black community, first story was about how crooked and racist law enforcement will destroy any black persons name who wants better and exposes the truth about what’s going on, second story was about nobody caring enough about black domestic violence or child abuse, third story was about white supremacists politicians showing their true colors, fourth story was about black gang culture killing each other off like the kkk after all we been through (slavery etc.) and having a chance to change to better the black community.
Yea the first story scared me the most as a kid.
To bad done people don't get it , she even said it's not real horror when it's closer to reality than any Freddy Krueger movie
Fun Fact: Some former real life street dudes came up to the director of this movie and they thanked him because watching the "Crazy K" story is what made them give up that street shit, they were terrified and they realized that it's not for them. More power to them✊🏾✝️🙌
That's literally the best part of the movie, the other 3 stories may have had unrealistic touches as far as zombies, paper monsters, and live slave dolls, but they were still important to the movie because it still touched on realistic events with the crooked cops, abusive parents (aka monsters), and racial politicians.
However, the Crazy K story was always the best story imo, on many levels. It took me a while to understand the difference between him getting rescued by the cops and him getting shot. Basically saying that his soul could have been saved, had he took responsibility but America's Nightmare, young, black, and don't give af😔🙏
So this movie will forever be a classic in the black cinema. Sequels were trash btw, don't wanna talk about that lol. RIP to Clarence Williams and Lamont Bentley, they were All Stars.
Gulley Boy called it 'Cooning' on his review, and I'm like, but it's true, man. Stuff like this can change people for a good reason, I wouldn't call it cooning.
The dude crazy K shot first had passed on away too I think.. and was a series regular in everybody hates Chris TV 📺 show. Clarence also guest cameos in that show too.
@@e.m.ldonahue5605they were not in everybody hates chris show the guy that played krazy k played in a show called Moesha
@@brandonjackson3641No he’s talking about Malvo the dude who used to rob and try to use Chris was the guy Krazy K shot in Tales From The Hood.
@@derekgoodejr8788 oh ok but he also said clarence who played the devil in the tales from the hood movie made cameos in the everybody hate chris show I dont remember that but yeah the dude krazy k shot I remember him on the show it been so long since I watched it
When this underrated gem came out in 1995, critics say it was a funny spoof. How is this a spoof? But when I saw it back in 2017 near the end of 8th grade and I still watch it today. It's Tales from the Crypt with black people and the messages in the movie is still relevant today. Crooked and racists cops, domestic violence, supremacist politicians, and gang violence. Man guys who were in gangs told the director and writers that left because of this film. They need to make this an anthology series of Shudder.
Calling it a spoof seems like a way to demean & discredit the film.
Saturday the 14th, Stan Helsing, Shriek if you know what I did last Friday the 13th, and the Scary Movie franchise THOSE were spoofs.
@archive881 Exactly. Plus, if someone hasn't seen it and the title of the movie is called Tales From The Hood, they probably think it would be until they watch it.
They never gave Black actors let alone films proper respect
I know you hate the name Clarence. But it just so happens that the actor playing the spooky old man in the house, name was CLARENCE Williams III. He first became famous by playing Linc Hayes, as one of the three 3 young undercover cops, on the tv show, The Mod Squad, that ran from 1968 to 1973.
Huh, interesting.
This movie scared the crap out of me as a kid then as I got older it became one of my favorites. Great reaction tho
Same shit got Me Nightmares when I was a kid
This movie planted the seeds for Jordan Peele's career.
Facts you can tell he was inspired by this movie
Walter, the little boy, he has a Superpower. He draws you, and if he distorts the sheet of paper; you get distorted in real life.
I think it said the girl behind him in class told him it would happen. She might be a young witch.
We see her earlier, a blonde looking for a teacher during the bullying scene.😮
@@boldbearingsHuh, interesting.
Hands down scariest movie i ever seen. It was way too relateable. Damn Spike Lee knew exactly what he was doing.
This was actually rusty kundieff and spike produced it if I’m not mistaken.
Rusty played the teacher as well as directing
When they originally aired the movie on the Sci Fi channel, they had to censor the burnt corpse in the casket at the end of the second story; so they implied it was Walter in the casket.
Words of advice: If you love TFTH, DONT I REPEAT DON’T WATCH THE SEQUEL! its hot ass butter with cheese
Unfiltered doodoowater. Shit streaks on sand. A set of soggy shit sangwiches. Both of them bullshits. You know the same folk did all 3 movies right?! Like nigga how the *FUCK?!*
Definitely sucks
3 was better than 2 4 sure. But still a step down
The sequel sucks and I hated it but I always loved the original
@@dominiquejones3805 3 was sucked 2 was better
RIP Clarence Williams III RIP Lamont Bentley and RIP Rosalind Cash 🙏🏽
This movie had a lot of meaning and messages in it it’s not just a movie
I lost it at “is that Anne Frank” 😂😂😂
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 one of my favorite movies of all time!
Fun Fact: The man that played the KKK guy from the doll story said in an interview, every time he said those racial slurs while filming he apologized every time.
He might have apologized to their face, but I'm sure he made his family and friends proud.
@@alfreddaniel1994Get real dude
Monique did the same thing in previous.. she apologized to Gabourey Sidibe after every scene
Corbin Bernsen
🙋🏾😨😱When this movie came out, I was 10 years old I was a little spooked by Have to sleep with the lights on for a whole week.💡🚪🛌🏾🚪🛋🛏🏠
What you experienced was an "Anthology"= A movie with 3 to 4 stories within a movie. And yes, can be like "Tales from the Crypt" like. One other one is "Tales from the Darkside" another
classic Horror Anthology.
This movie was definitely something that was scary at the time, considering the subject matter that was happening at the time the movie released (Police brutality, Child A, Gang violence, ect).
The 4th story was the one that definitely kept me away from the "Street life". Also the "How did they not know they were dead?" comment... you wouldn't know if you were dead, because you would be dead (Tony Soprono ending style) lol Great reaction. Keep it up and hope to see more. :)
This movie traumatized me as a kid. The dolls and the ending...chilllleee, I cannot!!
For me it was the zombie reverend taking revenge and the last corrupt cop being crucified and "melted" into the brick mural. Both visually stunning and nightmare inducing! 😱
Tales from the Hood is an underrated horror movie anthology film classic. I still have the movie on VHS to this day. But man, the stories are really good. R.I.P to Clarence Williams, the 3 who plays Mr. Simms, Rosalind Cash, who plays Dr. Cushing and Lamont Bently, who Crazy K. But anyway I hope you have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care, and stay amazing, MJ.
Another black classic, horror/hood "PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS"
Definitely underrated
@@narotic6133Great Dark Humor and sincerely creepy moments
The HOOD version of Tales From The Crypt!!!!!😱
I’ve heard rumors they’re trying to make a Tales from the Hood series.
This movie terrified me as a child 😮💨😅😂😂
This was my favorite movie growing up! I love the fact that this is her first time watching this. Her reaction to this is so cute to me!!!🥰
I was 10 when this film came out ... scared the fuck outa me
Same! This movie was absolutely terrifying! 😨
Gurl this is one of most scariest hood classic out their the guy who played the teacher he directed this movie
Yup Rusty Cundief
I was like wait till she sees the doll one
whew Chile that one messed me up for some weeks when I first saw it
This Movie terrified tf out of me when I was a kid🤣🤣🤣
The teacher in the second story is the director & writer.
Got some classics for you. New Jack City, Set it Off, House party, The Best Man
One Of My All Time Favorite Horror Movie's, Classic
Ohh I remember watching this as a child lol particularly I remember the slave dolls the most.
I recommend The Wood. I think you would enjoy it
This movie is crazy, but it has a deeper meaning to the toxicity of the hood life👑
Yup
Walters mother in this movie played by Paula Jai Parker got on my nerves so much. She just frustrates me the way she treats and disrespects Walter. She’s the reason why I don’t watch this movie no more. David Alan Grier did such an amazing job playing the abusive monster.
Yea
22:57 he got that chucky strength 😂😂😂
Gotta do Dead Presidents and South Central next.
Fresh 1994 movie
i love the fact you listen to your comments ❤
Teachers most definitely made home visits in the 90s
This was a pleasant surprise when it came out back in the day. The devil was played by Clarence Williams III. Guy was in a lot of good films over the years, including a small role in American Gangster, with Denzel Washington.
You mentioned Tales From the Crypt too, and there were a few TFtC movies. The best one by far was Demon Knight. I saw that in theaters the first time, the crowd I was with loved it, I did too.
This was another great upload from you, keep it going!
He passed away in June 2021 Rest in Peace 🙏🕊️
This movie is a classic hood horror Anthology. One of the best of it's kind. To think a lot of the actors in Tales from the Hood were known for comedic and dramatic roles. This movie actually had great acting too.
came across this channel recently ,been enjoying you reacting to all the movies i grew up loving, keep it up
You reacting to ALL the gems! 💛
I saw this movie in the theaters back in 1995. Such a cult classic right here.
You being so judgy on the doll story is so funny to me because Chucky & Annabelle exist 😂😂
What kinda name is Clarence? I am not sure but I hear his parents have a real nice marriage
😂😂😂😂
Was just looking for reactions to thus yesterday. Crazy that there isn't more reactions to it. Before there was Jordan Peele there was Rusty Cundief.💯❤️
Each segment of this film had a very powerful message.
Do Malcom X by spike lee
This movie is a parody of Tales from the Crypt the TV series.
Dear! My name happens to be Clarence Polk the second! LOL😅
The little boy in story 2 is from Soul Food. Another good movie with Vivica Fox, Mekhi Phifer, Nia Long, Vanessa Williams, and several others.
First saw this when I was 14, shit was def creepy and weird. Your reactions to these classics are always entertaining 🗣️ btw you might also like a movie called The People Under the Stairs. Came out in 1991.
Rip To A Great Actor Clarence Williams III, Still Miss You
Yes, please, and thank you MJ for this. I recommended this. The dolls messed me up when I was younger. I had nightmares about the dolls and the bleeding grandma. I want you to watch the 90s movie called “Little Giants.” I want to see if you get mad or not to the premise of the movie.
A cool fact to learn: in the third story with the racist sentor, the director's parts are in the movie. Yeah, the dad was the priest and the mom was the woman who came out of the painting.
Lamont Bentley was a very good actor.
The Krazy K story has always stuck with me. As a child I was terrified of it. I always felt the white guy should’ve thrown the blanket over the dolls and started Donkey Kong jumping on them lol
This movie terrified my childhood 😂
You have no idea. Shit was so bad me and my little sister use to use oven mitts to grab the vhs and throw it away. My mom couldnt figure out why her copies kept disappearing
@@ggyugcxzzflmao 😂😂😂 I know the feeling I used to do the same thing of things I was scared of I would throw it away but I didn't use mitts though
When i was a kid i swear them damn puppet dolls let alone this movie scared the fuck out of me
This is a hood classic for sure💯💯
Underrated gem in the '95, better recognize beautiful
I remember seeing this back in the 90's I held my bladder until the sun up when I saw it
12:46 my mother used to teach and would make house calls.
It’s not acceptable nowadays and parents get offended when you actually show care, which is why she retired early. Granted I’m 40 and times are different, but my mom made sure she stayed teaching in the hood and at risk schools and the parents only care until you are making them look bad
You not lying Queen SMH
This movie scared the shit out of me as a kid 😅 great reaction tho
This movie came out when I was in the 6th grade and that was the time I read in the local newspaper that a demon was spotted at the local Casino dancing on tables and having hooves for feet! Supposedly a Priest from the Mission had to come and bless the place 😬 Don't know if all thats true but it was a legit newspaper.
@@clutch236 Just tellin what I read 🤷🏽♂️
Set it off should be next you might like that one
This is an underrated horror movie gem. I loved your reaction 🙂
Queen mode never stop. Freedom of speech 😊
Clarence Williams III is also the father from Purple Rain-a must watch if you are a Prince fan.
It was like torture watching this movie as a child
Interestingly, the last cop to be killed was killed in a similar way and under similar circumstances in another cult hit: The Crow
Omg I didnt even recognize him. 😂
Lawddd grew up on this 😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥 and you know about tales from
The crypt 🔥🔥🔥🔥💎 the youngins learning fast
You embarrassed? This guy's a gangster? His real name's Clarence And Clarence lives at home with both parents.... And Clarence' parents have a real good marriage....
GNEISS.
Aye!! yea this movie def creeped me out back in the day lol...
I watched this as a double feature with Friday the summer before 8th grade at a local theater that doesn't exist anymore. Watched my first movie there when I was like 4. It was La Bamba. Great memories. Watched this and Friday probably a handful of times there. That's what there was to do when we were in Jr high. Haha. Thanks for the reaction. 😊
The fucking end traumatized me when I was younger
@@clutch236 The way Hell was depicted looks almost like a real-life renaissance painting.
Always forget ol boy from Fear of a Black Hat is in this : P
That's my movie right there lol wonder if Mj seen it lol
The doll one always creeped me out bc of how they looked 😂
Ayye i love this movie this is one of my personal favorite horror movies i be watching this movie a lot 😂 🤘🔥💯
@ 31:26 ...(gang bangers are burning in hell) "What the hell...". LOL
The way you left eye closes a little bit more ....and then your laugh and smile ...I'm in love!!!!!!
Great reaction video! Love your personality!
Please watch New Jack City and Fresh (1994)
She should watch the movie bones next with snoop dogg in it
Love this movie, it was def scary af and I liked the anthology aspect of it. But one part I always had to laugh at was when bul was like "the sh*t? You'll be knee high in the sh*t" Lmao
Spike Lee?
What about House party? Popcorn 🍿 🔥
W reaction 🔥
U gotta watch Jason’s lyric next😭
You got scared a couple times haha but I love this film ❤️
Great movie reaction
Crazy K was my favorite story. I really wish they hadn’t waited over 20 years to make a sequel. “Tales from the Hood” could’ve been a great franchise to open up opportunities in Black Hollywood
You have a cute smile and I love your reaction too.😍
You should watch "The Wood" 🔥🔥🔥
The story the kid got the paper from a voodoo woman
Higher learning next?
This movie fucked me up when I was little
I swear when i first saw this movie with the doll and everything and i was a kid at the time to so dont judge meh =3= but it game serious nightmares and the stuff on the guy teeth is cigar bc he been biting it abit also the first story is based on a true story but without the supernatural part
15:03 David Allen Grier is better known for his sunny depiction in Reading Rainbow. It was so jarring to see him on the dark side.
Lavar Burton was on reading rainbow not David Alan Grier 🤦🏾♂️😂
This movie actually scared the shit out of me when I was a child, my older brother used to force me to watch it because he thought scaring me was funny. My mom used to have porcelain dolls and after seeing the story with the dolls I used to have nightmares about them coming to life to kill me.
