@@bweeeeniee1131 it's not a skill. They have strong magnet placed on this board where assistant is placed so it will never hit her due to knifes changing direction when mistake happen. Also some magicans use trick presented in video but now with moder tech is more exiting to throw knifes to safe target. (the hardest part of the trick is to throw them in that way they will actually got stuck in the target)
PentaHousen magnets are not that strong to pull a knife flying through the air it pure skill and if it was magnets it would mess the mic and other stuff up

4:45 the old 'knife-in-the-sleeve' explanations isn't working here. The thrower is wearing a vest ( no sleeves) and the vid plainly shows the knife leaving his hand and going into the target

It’s so amazing that the magicians come up with this stuff, and then execute it perfectly!
There's a difference between stunts and tricks :) Each has levels of illusion to them but the actual levels of danger to yourself and others can vary widely. Penn and Tellers truck trick was fairly dangerous due to the possible malfunctions which could lead to death, which makes me even inclined to even call it a stunt (especially since they gave their secret away)

Penn and Teller are awesome magicians. They share their secrets with the world. ANnd not just the first one I've seen either. They were on buddy vs duff and shared some magic secrets

@@DEITYCOMING it's an illusion that it stops halfway. It's because There is momentarily no light glare on the blade. From the camera angle behind the thrower, you can clearly see the complete travel of the knife. It's just plain skill...

You should read "Memoirs of a Sword Swallower" by Daniel P Mannix. He did fire eating and sword swallowing in a US travelling fair. At one point he worked with a man who swallowed and regurgitated live rats. It's a brilliant book, fascinating and funny.
Knife throwing trick seems different of what you reveal. He is wearing sleeve less outfit and the rotating board doesn't have a hidden back. 🤔🤔🤔

One thing they didn't mention in the Penn and Teller truck trick reveal, is that the front left tire of the truck was real and provided solid support on the side facing the camera, as safety. That's the reason Teller didn't lie directly in front. No matter how much the weight was reduced by, it still had to hold Penn's weight added to the left side during the performance.
The knife throwing was real. You literally showed clips of the knives flying slow-motion through the air as you said the knives were never thrown

When it comes to the knife throwing act, it's real. There might be magicians who do it as a trick, but Deadly Games are not magicians and I think it's unfair and misleading to include them in this list. They're the top danger act in the world and they should not be associated with people who do similar acts but with gimmicks. It's 100% real, as with Alex Magala and Brett Loudermilk, who are also unfairly included in this video.

The case of the knife throwing, the video editor here (FactoFusion) is showing two different throwers on two different shows. The one with the sleeveless top is actually throwing the knives. If you slow the video down you can see the knives actually leaving his hands. The other thrower on the other show is taken from a program that shows a masked magician revealing magic secrets and it's him that puts his knives under his single breasted jacket NOT the guy in the BGT. Slow it down and you'll see the knives actually leaving his hands and going on the board. I can only think that there must be strong magnets pulling at the knives.
Yea that was my thought too. I was expecting that to be the revealed secret cause like you correctly said, those knives clearly were visible leaving his hand and traveling to the board so he is either ridiculously skilled at it or the knives are being diverted from the girl.

So many people are talking about the knife throwing like, "There are ways to fake it so nobody's in danger" and so forth. These guys, just like the guys doing the extreme stunts, are risking injury for their chance at stardom. In the knife throwing example, there are a handful of people who will use the method explained in the video, but the majority of knife handlers will simply rely on their own skill, no magnets, strings, or other tricks needed. People saying magnets..........yes, magnets attract knives (that's why most knife holders in restaurants are magnetic) but the magnetic field would have to be so strong, it would disrupt the video and audio. People saying strings.........please, pray tell, how will a string (that's thin enough not be be visible in the bright lights of a stage) affect the trajectory of a knife?
Magic, as a whole, is all about talent and skill. Yes, the magicians are tricking you, but they're using their own talents and skills to do so. Sometimes, their talent and/or skill is simply doing exactly what they're showing. Other times, there is some trick about it. Just like sword swallowing. The only gimmick sword swallowing I know of is base amateurs and/or for comedic effect. I have done sword swallowing. It took me a almost a year to get down and even longer to switch to an actual sword. This is entirely determination, stubbornness, and skill.
