The explanation of the "disappearing cards" is invalid, the truth is far more simple than the one provided in the explanation. Takumi Takahashi is using his own version of the snap deal originally introduced by the great Lennart Green. Takumi is not throwing those cards into the hidden pocket nor hiding them in his palm as in the explanation, yes.. he is hiding them in the palm but not the way it is said. Instead, cards are being held in a somewhat different position similar to the tenkai palm between his index and middle finger as he deals them on the table.

In the second trick you don’t need “torso people” lol. Just either a contortionist or someone that has hyper mobility. Look closely at the belly of the lady cut in half. She’s fatter. Why? Her legs are actually crossed underneath the shirt where her belly was, it’s pretty obvious. It wasn’t as obvious for the guy, so maybe it was a torso person as you say, but yeah.
