- During a special village meeting in Dolton on Monday night trustees chose someone to conduct official business when the mayor is not present.
Not just the mayor. The entire police department and her yes men/women need to go too!
Just put her in jail and be done with it!!!
I think they don't just arrest her yet because it's the fed they want to make sure that she has no wiggle room she definitely is going to jail. and I said this months ago they're probably going to get her with the Rico act. but, and there's a butt to this. she's probably going to do a few years and get out and be a successful speaker have a talk show or a podcast. I'm thinking that she has like a grand scheme to this there's a plan in the works I think she knows that she's not going to escape doing time but she's already become infamous everyone knows her name throughout the country she's kind of like on the wall of shame but in this day and age was social media and everything ashamed can turn in the fame. she's never going to have to work and honest day in her life again she's going to go through time like we all figure but it doesn't matter whether she does 18 months or 5 years, she set for life. she probably already has an agent if not the day she gets out she's going to have an agent a publicist and all of that there will probably be a reality show built around her on her supervised release actually after the supervised release The feds are kind of strict but just watch she's not going away she's going to rebrand herself she's probably going to take some classes and learn to speak better not sound like a walking Ebonics dictionary. her township is all messed up because of her but after she does her time she's going to be all right. isn't it messed up how you can become infamous and then become famous and then become wealthy. I bet she's already got that all figured out

The entire state is corrupt so there is not really a mechanism to root out corruption.
The short answer is innocent until proven guilty, and a recall election that had some sort of problem. Apparently the town held a recall vote in 2022 to remove her as mayor, but there was some sort of procedural problem with that vote and its result was overturned by a state circuit court. I don't have the ruling on that case, so I can't say exactly what that procedural problem was, and none of the news reports I found gave any details about it either. Regardless, the circuit court said the town couldn't certify the recall vote so she wasn't removed. Also, so far she has only been charged with multiple crimes that would disqualify her as mayor, but not convicted of any of them...yet. The city likely doesn't have any laws on the books that would allow removing an elected official just for being accused of a crime (which is generally a good thing), so they probably have to wait for her to be convicted before removing her for criminal activity. Even if she looks like a total scumbag, the law will still treat her as innocent until proven guilty. So, they can't get rid of her until she is actually proven guilty by the courts, or they manage to hold an election to remove her that meets all of the state and local rules for holding elections. They are trying the courts now, and they already tried the recall election, but messed it up somehow on procedural grounds.
However, they can probably get things done without her before an actual verdict comes down if she is not able to attend meetings or otherwise show up to fulfill the duties she has as mayor. It is also possible that a judge will order her not to exercise any authority as mayor or superintendent while the trial is going on. Either way, if she cannot or will not be present to perform her duties as an elected official, that is what this mayor pro-tem thing is preparing to take advantage of. The township she is also Superintendent of will also likely need to do something similar to keep handling business if she isn't able to do that job either.

This has been an eye-opener for me on how difficult it is to remove an elected mayor who is obviously committing financial crimes. I'm pretty sure Jason House what will be the next elected.

The one action I know of that Henyard has done was to veto the hiring of Lori Lightfoot. The FBI is investigating and has the authority to prosecute. Lightfoot doesn't have authority to bring charges against anyone. Dolton's taxes, our taxes, already pay for the work of the FBI. Lightfoot is grifting off of the citizens of Dolton. Dolton made an emotional decision to hire Lightfoot. Dolton, you are united, you are strong and you need to be reasonable about this. Lightfoot will ask for too much even if let go now.
This town unfortunately will never learn. They elect a failed black woman and then hire a failed black woman to investigate her.

But that was just literally day one. Then they spent $17,000 (also without approval) on custom printed tshirts and hoodies for the charity with her face and name all over everything! The list keeps going on and on from use of city vehicles to overtime pay for the police to act as her private security detail going everywhere with her from out of town trips like Las Vegas and even to and from work everyday they pick her up and drop her off at home after! Sometimes they even accompany her on shopping trips or running personal errands. Tiffany really does care! Except when the IRS started demanding charity documents and tax filings, then she doesn’t have any part of that operation. Someone just used her face lol this woman is too much.

As a former defense attorney, I can tell you right now that it's extremely likely Henyard is going to do time. If I were any part of her inner circle or "special" security force, I'd be turning state's evidence as fast as possible to salvage what little freedom might still be on the table for me.
I don’t understand why there isn’t some legal recourse to put Henyard on suspension while the investigation proceeds so she can’t touch the money and others can take care of business.
She’s an elected mayor; the idea is voters can either vote her out or recall her, the latter of which the courts have disallowed on a technicality. So now, we wait for the courts & FBI to do what they must to protect American taxpayers from this nonsense.

That was done. She was recalled. Then the recall was thrown out on appeal because there was either an 'i' that did not get a dot or a 't' that was missing its cross.
