Repairing My Paramotor Frame

- One of the last big jobs has been ticked off the list, fixing the frame.
In this episode of ParaFixIt i'm striping the frame down, repairing the bent and broken parts, polishing different pieces, giving it a new lick of paint and a fresh new net. Once we're done here today all I have left is to rebuild the throttle, mount the engine back into the frame and plumb it all in. After that we can run her in and head out for our first flights! I can't wait. I'm so stoked the time to fly is nearly here, stay tuned!

Yea it had to go it was the wrong colour, shame really. Netting was an interesting one. I basically followed how it was setup before. The frame has holes drilled all the through with pop rivet shells on each side of each hole. It was then a case threading the lines through to make a square patten across each frame section. Honestly it’s not the safest design and Morden frames address this, didn’t really want to teach people bad practice. I’m sure you’ll get to see it in person one day 😁 thanks, the lav allows me to do more moving about so each has their place

look up some of this stuff. HTS-2000 aluminum low heat brazing. Not sure if it would work in this case.
Good shout! First impressions that stuff looks relatively strong. If I find this current repair doesn't hold out i'll definitely give this stuff a try. Thanks man.

Is it time to fly yet?
Not quite yet, I'm on a mission this week to get the whole thing back together, run in & hang tested. On top of that I want to have 3 videos edited before i'm away for 2 weeks. 1 as a holiday the other for work. After that i'm hoping to take my first flight! If the weathers right, hopefully the 25th or 26th!
