- I was unable to find any photos or reviews of this product when I was doing my product research, so I thought that others would find it useful to be able to see the features online if they are looking for a new evaporator.

That's an impressive rig. I especially like the blower design and the front and back air-tight doors. Thanks for the great walkthrough.
I have to say nice job installing especially taking out the main ridge for your roof
This is great! Thanks for sharing :)
Sunrise now has an online catalog. I bought a 30” x 8 ft in 2017. So far works just fine.
Excellent review. Thanks for doing this. Woodsman scarlet Jewell sugar shack
can you do an updated review? you are one of the only sunrise reviews out there
Similar to you, I've been researching various 2x6 evaporators with a focus on efficiency first. I'm running too many taps for my 3X2. The Sunrise, with a blower and a proper door seems like a nice machine. Not sure if you've got a chance to really fire it up yet considering the weather, but would very much like to here / see a progress report on your success todate. Still 3 weeks before we get going in Northern Ontario
Great video and appreciate your taking the time to put this out. I am somewhat familiar with Sunrise and know of their quality and inovations. Did you pick it up from them or did you pay to have it shipped? Also about what was the cost if you are willing to share that information. Thanks again and look forward to seeing it in operation. I also have a 2 X 6 and wish I had some of the features on your unit. I maple in Minnesota.
Old video I know but a good review!
Thank you.
I have a 2x6 panther from sunrise, I love it! I would love to share my experience with it to whomever would like to hear about it!
I'd be interested to hear about your experience.
Still using the sunrise metal evaporator?
hi how much does such a thing cost?
Andy DeLivron (andy@kaplancontainer.com) may be able to help you out.
Thanks for the note. I had it shipped (from Indiana to NH and all bricks were fine!).
Here is cost break-down (posting with Sunrise permission):
2x6 raised flue with stainless (mill) sides: $4655
blower unit: $1200
site glasses: $30
stack (12'): $614
12xinsulation plates: $33.60
12' ceramic blanket: $45
2 x 3" face thermometers: $90
26' rail gasket: $15.60
up-charge for shiny stainless: $175 (pans & stack)
bricks $1.50 x 70
brick-work $175
delivery $300
James Jones do you still have the rig and how did it perform? I am from NH
Nice rig but unless your a major producer there is no way to justify that much cost. Almost $6 grand for something you can only use at most 6 weeks a year not a smart investment in my opinion.
