When you let your rabbits out, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE watch out for hawks, especially in winter when they stick out like a sore thumb against the snow and food is at a minimum.

Sumba and Burney are so cute....
The first (and only) time I took my bunnies out they came very close to being dinner for a HUGE hawk watching from a tree above. I'm just so thankful I happened to look up in time. One of my bunnies then noticed too and shrieked in mortal terror. I will never forget that day... I use a covered run or pet stroller to take them outside now. Please don't let your bunny, cat or small dog run about outside without at least a leash and very close supervision!

I had a bunny when I was a kid. Pepper n I were buds. She followed me everywhere. My dad made me leave her in a cage at the end of the yard. Everyday, freezing rain or shine it was me n pepper. I'd sketch her for hours. I loved my rabbit. One day I came home from school my mom gave my rabbit away to the people down the street that ate rabbits. That scared me 4 life
That was a red flag for an abusive woman if I ever seen one! A woman who knowingly gives your friend away for people to eat! I know it sounds judgy of me but..... it's just cruel! Even as a child you have your own opinion
