- The former KidZone at Universal Studios Orlando is no more and in its place has risen a franchise driven new DreamWorks Land. Sporting brand new shows, food and a dynamic atmosphere; this land focuses on the popular DreamWorks franchises of Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda. As Universal Orlando passholders, we had the unique opportunity to preview this new land, try out Shrek's signature Swamp Snacks, and a Trolls inspired Ice Cream!
With the Summer Season at Universal Studios also comes a brand new Tribute Store and this years iteration packs a nostalgic punch. Tribute Store Plaza, as its called, is meant to transport guests into a 1980's style shopping mall. With three rooms meant to encapsulate the atmosphere of a Video Rental Store, Arcade and classic Movie Theatre. The subtle details at Tribute Store Plaza provide small clues to Universal's offerings later this year with a new Lagoon Show, Parade and Halloween Horror Nights on the horizon.

You're going to have to get down very low to see it LOL we're on the bottom shelf :( Admittedly we only signed up a week before it opened. This store is so nostalgic and fun. Hope we get the chance to see you guys!!!
I can’t wait to take the kid here when he’s a little older. It looks like it’s a lot of fun for kids, which is something we thought was missing when we were there last year. Although I will say a $13 pretzel seems a little high. The hotdog looks fun and you guys are the first people I’ve seen to get ice cream from the trolls treat area. Which looks pretty good. I love a good waffle cone. Amazing content as always.
The pretzel seems overpriced to us but I guess if you're a giant Shrek fan it could be worth it. Universal definitely needed this. The offerings for small children are incredibly limited. They honestly need more. In our opinion, Troll Cone > Shrek Pop. Thank you 🙂.

The Shrek outhouse is a crass and tasteless part of this new area...what's wrong with people???
I think the humor associated with it is supposed to be juvenile since it's a kids area. To each their own I guess 😕
