Godafoss waterfall

  • Godafoss falls in English translates as Waterfall of the Gods. The name is obtained from an Icelandic legend, which tells of a ancient ruler of Icelandic who threw idols of the old pagan gods, after the country converted to Christianity in the 9th century.
    The wind here, as you can tell from the soundtrack, was strong (and cold).
    Nearby, not featured in the video, there is a bridge and we had to brace ourselves in order to move forward, such was the wind strength.
