  • This is part one of my tour of where I grew up in the Bronx and my process in creating the turntable science. Journalists get it correct, the dawn of Hip Hop was in the 70's!!!

Flash, I remember hearing your record for the first time in 1981. It was Wildstyle. I was in the Bronx, going to a yankee game with my Mom and Paddy Brady from the Westies...I was 5 years oldand saw these kids break dancing, and it stuck me, right deep. I was smitten with hi hop.

I read GMF's bio and loved it. The guy was brilliant and knew electronics to invent the gear he used. It's a great book. Pick it up. I loved it . I'm not a big fan of new hip hop but love the old school stuff . Thanks for the music.

Grand Master Flash is the true & real HIP HOP DJ who turned the streets of NYC especially the BX into the biggest jams where u dance, shaked & moved to the groove nonstop. A good example of a kid who grew up & made real HIP HOP music one of a kind. He is the Father of Hip Hop and the greatest DJ of all time. I grew up hearing his music and till this day he still rocks my house with his awesome old school jams. ONE LOVE from Brooklyn... Giggles
