- Welcome to my homesteading, and gardening channel! We are self sufficient on small acreage and love to teach organic gardening and homesteading on small acreage and want to share with you how we do it. It CAN BE DONE on as little as 1/2 acre! I hope to inspire and teach you the best gardening practices I have learned over my lifetime and help you have success and less frustration. Join me in learning organic practices in the garden and on the little farm! Organic gardening practices, intensely planting fruits and vegetables, raising chickens for eggs and meat and dairy goats are all a part of our daily lives to be more self sufficient.

This woman and her family are amazing. This is truly an oasis in the desert. I have been privileged to take classes here and loved every minute of them. I could just sit and dream here (and glean here) for hours. Thanks for sharing Ali, Kevin, daughters and Grandkids. So fun.
Thank you Julie! You are sweet and we are so glad to have met you. My kind of person!
That's awesome I'am jealous! I could only dream of having her nearby! :)
How did you get rid of the bindweed? It is such a plague!
I love how not only is your homestead functional and essential but it is absolutely gorgeous as well. I look forward to binge watching your videos for tips and tricks.
Thank you so much!
Very inspiring and beautiful! I live in Colorado Springs, and it makes gardening very challenging due to our labile weather swings. But I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me. GOD bless you Ali and your beautiful and blessed family.
Thank you! May God bless you as well🥰
Ali, your story brought me to tears when you said “this land that God graciously allowed us to be caretakers of and dwell on.” My hope and prayer is for God to show us land that we too can homestead on for our family and the community. We are currently renting, and we have enough space to garden and raise egg layers. Although I have planted small gardens for several years, I am very much a novice, but my dream is the same as yours. Thank you for sharing what you do. It was an encouragement to me today.
Yes I too have an acre which I bought in 2019, hafecwater source shed, fenced, I tried, gave up because of city life. But again I'm.drawn to nature.
I'm a 90 % autonomous farmer on 10 acres in the south of France. Your video is legit.
First time I see that on CZcams.
Great respect.
bless you
Thank you! Blessings to you! 🥰
I've been to her place. Just beautiful! So abundant! and she's so sharing and a sweetheart!
God bless.
Self sufficiency was how this nation was built up, not dependency on governmental bodies.
Yes!
Much respect, thank you 🤝. I'm 4 years OFF-THE-GRID in northern British Columbia Can'tada. Boat, float plane and sled access only. Bald Eagles nesting, raising a fledgling every spring, summer in my backyard 💪🍁🤣.
oh...That sounds so WONDERFUL!
I am just finding your videos. My heart hurts to do what you have so beautifully accomplished
🥰 thank you
a paradise
We have been on our homesteading journey for a year and I find your videos so very helpful. Thank you.
Wonderful!
Thank you for bringing The most high into your video
Gratitude is always beautiful.
Spectacular ☝️ Why are more folks doing this and growing their own vegetables. Gardening is the hobby that lasts forever!
Your living the dream!! So glad to hear you giving the glory to our heavenly father! Bless you sister!!
🙏🏼 thank you!
You've found your soulmate... and then this piece of land. Now you live in paradise. A dream for most of your subscribers including myself.
You all are good Stewarts, thanks so much for sharing your passions.... priceless!
Our pleasure!
Ali, what a beautiful life you have! I love that you said "lots of flowers for the soul". I'm a beginner for gardening. I just got a fenced in garden with 140 sqft of planting beds. I want to grow a mix of vegetables, flowers and herbs. Today I did my first planting in this garden, and it's 50 cloves of garlic. I did it following your wonderful garlic video! Thank you very much!
This has been the best gardening video I've watched in a long time . When children are taught life skills early you can be assured that their future is set and productive. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! And so true! All our children can really benefit from life skills, which I feel are lacking these days... but I'm a bit old fashioned! 😊😊. When I didn't do my chores as a kid, my folks made me go pull weeds! haha! It was my favorite things! 😂
This is literally my dream! I'm so happy for you and your family. I'm praying I can accomplish the same one day! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you so much!! This way of life is definitely good for our souls! Even on small scales. 😊
Thank you so much for the inspiration vidio.
I am Indonesian, and i get spirit for watching it.
🙏🏻🥰
You’re welcome 😊
OMG YOU ARE LIVING A WONDERFUL BLESSED LIFE....THIS IS WHAT I AM STRIVING TO GET TO. IM AN URBAN GARDENER..BLESS YALL SHUGG❤❤❤❤
wow..just evenly
May God continue his blessings upon you.
We live on half an acre in the middle of mountain town in Colorado. No soil whatsoever, but I'm growing my own. I really would love to turn it into oasis like yours. You are truly inspiring!
This is the way of life I dream about.
Thank you for sharing your story i love your homestead
So happy I found your channel.
It's a heaven 💕
💖I love this 💖💕🥰*
1/2 acre is a lot for the average Dutch person. The shop is going back 50-60 years in time: living with the seasons and what the land gives. ❤
Simply.... beautiful...
Beautiful! You live my dream. May God bless you more.
Your home is lovely. Thank you for sharing.
This is very inspiring. I live on half an acre (albeit in the Yukon), and it’s amazing to look at my yard and realize this could be possible. Keep up the good work and enjoy the fruits of your labour!
Love this and you!❤
The love of mY life and I just bought and built on 6 acres in Ecuador. We have 2 horses 3 baby sheep and 3 dogs. I'm still trying to get my composte to turn out right. I've watched countless videos and don't know why it's not heating up. It feels discouraging alot of days. Haven't even begun my garden yet. Still planting trees. And trying to grow good pasture for the horses. Our land had been over tilled one crop for 26 years. Seems like in a year all we've done is buy fertizer and seed just to get our soil to grow good grass. Your video was very inspiring to see what you've done with .5 acres! I'm in awe. Some days seem just so overwhelming with all there is to do and still yet to create. Other days I get that burst of accomplishment and hope. EVERY day I am grateful.as I look at the land God has blessed us with to steward and love and I pray we are up to the task. ❤❤❤
You sound like you are definitely up to the task! I made lots of mistakes and learned by them! Haha, and still make mistakes 🤣. I feel blessed how every thing came together and works pretty well for us. I have joked in the past it was haphazard planning that worked, but really I should say inspired from above!
Thank you for your comment!
Also, I have a lot of people that say they can’t get their compost heaps to heat up. I hope to get a video done in just that in the next couple months on just that subject 😊🙏🏼
You are such an inspiration! Thank you 😀
This is all about the life style I looking for.
Amazing
Bless what you do Ali ..❤
🥰
Thank you for giving God glory. God bless you.
Can’t do it without Him. 😊
You're mind blowing and amazing! Feeling blessed to have found your channel! Half an acre?! What a talented and gifted woman you are!
Thank you for your kind comments and I am very glad that you found our channel. Thanks for watching.
Just found your channel. It’s all so lovely!
This is my dream
Beautiful and peaceful looking, new subscriber❤
Your place looks amazing! We have an acre, but are just at the start of our journey, so lots of room for growth over the years! I adore the shop!!
Thank you! It takes time for sure! But that’s kinda the joy of it. 🥰 The shop is a lot of fun and plenty of work.
Loving this from South Africa. This is really beautiful ❤
🥰
Amazing video
Yah has blessed the work of your hands. May he ever bless you and yours
Thank you and you as well. 😊
Ali I so agree with you on all levels,
I to love gardening and working with the earth.
Thank you for showing us your beautiful garden.
It a real spiritual journey, isn't.
Kind regards from Australia.
Thank goodness for gardening and nature to keep us all grounded. I would love to visit your part of the world someday! 🥰
Great JOB Ali & Kevin, to not Say wonderfull, I worked for 3 years in the countryside raising bees and know 4 sure about the peace & joy of harvesting from the land, there are 2 things that I find amazing to do , one is the raising of mealworms that have 40-50% protein plus Omega 3 that are Excelent for feeding birds, fish, reptiles, animals, all You need is a small dark place with an ideal temperature of 83 F , in that same place You could raise California worms in plastic blue containers for humus and also a good source of protein for the birds and animals, I enjoyed your vídeo, thanks for sharing, Best regards and wishes.
Thank you!
Your homestead is absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you!
You are very welcome.
Thats awesome! ❤
Great job😁
I love your this!
This is really inspiring to me. Thanks so much for sharing. We recently moved to Tennessee and I had really hoped for a house on some land but God's plan is better and I ended up on half an acre. It is so inspiring to see what you have done with what God provided. Is your home on the half acre as well? I would love if maybe you could share on your blog what your layout looks like to give me some ideas!
We will be doing a full video of the whole layout in about May. The house is on this half acre. It’s amazing what you can do with small space. I would love to take credit, but I completely feel like it was divinely inspired🥰.
You are the real deal! Hardworker...look those forearms! Beautiful sanctuary! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience...priceless!
I appreciate that!
Wow
What a beautiful and peaceful space. I grow tons of food but no animals yet. I can have chickens and so might add those next year! That’s the only animal I can have so I should take advantage of that! Thanks for the inspiration!
New subscriber here! I’m glad I found your channel! What you’re doing on your homestead is my ultimate goal. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you! And welcome!
I truly love your homestead, I was wondering if you hav a layout of your place to give me ideas on building mine. We just moved from almost an acre to .45 acre. I’m trying desperately to arrange everything. I am very hopeful on my land after watching your video . Do you have any large trees in your yard? I’m looking to get goats and was wondering on the room they need. Your setup is wonderful for the animals. I do have 60 chickens , quail and rabbits and some raised beds and 6 yards of compost delivered that I’m working to put into beds. We have clay soil and it’s been a hard thing to work with but I’m amending it best possible ways available. You are truly an inspiration to me and others on what you can really do on a smaller piece of property. Getting fresh foods without chemicals is getting more challenging every day and people need to go back to learning how to fend for themselves for sure. We would have less hungry people if we all had the chance and want to grow things for ourselves again. People are moving into apartments and that makes them more willing to let the government take charge of what they consume because they have no way to feeding themselves or their children. Thank you again for your video!
I do have some very large trees in the front of our home. Keeps the house cooler. A large sycamore and autumn brilliance maple. I have a few videos that show an overview of the orchard, goats, garden layout and such, so you can see more of what is going on here. Thank you for your comment! Much appreciated!!
here is one link to a layout of our place.

🥰
This is absolutely beautiful! This is my heart too! I teach people how to grow their own organic food and find peace in the garden and point them to Christ along the way
Such a good love to have! We need more people to teach gardening, love what they do and remind people where it all comes from! Above! Thank you 🥰
Omgosh you are a gem! Thank you for beautiful content! About to move to my 4 acres and can’t wait. But I have a lot ahead of me
And a lot of fun and food to be grown! Good luck. Sounds like a bunch of opportunities 😊
Welcome to your CZcams gardening , you have a beautiful family, garden, soon, you can teach us gardening the right way and learn from our mistakes.❤
What an inspiration! ❤
You and your husband complement each other so well with him having the skills to build and you having the skills to plant grow and take care of animals 💕💕
I love how it works out! Perfect harmony!! And, when I get to much going he is a great help with whatever I need…. But! He HAS to stay out of the garden! 😂😉
I just came across this channel this is the prettiest and productive homestead I’ve seen yet 🥰you guys have done a Beautiful job
Thank you so much!
Tuyệt vời. Xin chào bạn ❤❤❤❤❤
I love it. We lost everything after WWII, but hey now we can wait for WWIII, till then we can do gardening. God bless you All.❤
Love this
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Inspiring and inspired. Regards from India
🥰thanks you! Blessings
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is so nice to see that this is possible, that you can also sell your own products. In the Netherlands, where I have my homestead, a lot is destroyed around farmers and homesteaders. God Bless.
Thank you. 🙏🏼

New subscriber i love everything on your channel and our hubbies have the same name.
Also mine doesn't know too much about gardening and I don't know too much about building things.
Sounds like we are in good company! 😊
Thank you!
@@alireynolds6707 yes indeed I'm all about homestead learning.
I love this so much!!! I'm just starting my one acre homestead and gardening is my love, along with my chickens, dogs and cats. I'd love to learn more about incorporating a store. Could you talk on that a bit more? Blessings sweet lady.❤
Yes pls!
Hi! Thank you for sharing this video and being bold to let others know that you are following what you feel God is leading you to do. It is my goal one day to be able to provide and share skills on my own homestead as well, to my community patients, and abroad. May God bless you and your family, and provide provisions to bless your journey.
I’m so curious on how to start. I’m going to try to grow tomatoes this year
This is my dream and I'm manifesting it
So inspiring and more simple than those videos I see where people get 6-10 acres, order loads of heavy materials, etc. How can I get an acre, when all the sites advertised are way more than that and expensive? Did you get an inheritance? Are you sharing land with your relatives? I am divorced with 3 adult kids and a grandson, with no property to my name. I want to put 5,000$ down a few years from now, as I am turning 60 this Summer, and I am also a Christian who wants to prepare for the end of times situation.
I love the south part of Utah, as I have visited Bryce and Zion canyons on a road trip, and I know that the weather would be better year round than here in Canada. Could I learn from you during Spring break next year and camp on your yard for a week? I am a French Canadian from Montreal who has been living in Western Canada for 30 years. I do not have handyman skills or know how to raise farm animals and grow a productive garden, however, I love animals, plants and being outside all the time in nature.
No inheritance, just lots of had work for many years. We raised our children here and now they have beautiful places of their own nearby… and it’s just my husband and I. thankfully our kids are close by. Our place is very small, but we figured out how to make it be very productive.
Great channel! Beautiful layed out home and garden and mini farm ❤
Thank you! I appreciate that 🥰
Hello❤❤❤❤❤
YOU are living my dream!
Wahoo it’s a lot of work but it’s magic ❤
My dream! Just incredible
Thank you!
Trying to make exactly like this with the land double the size. Additionally, there will be a pond and a chicken farm.
Sounds wonderful! I Like the idea of a pond.
Such a beautiful video, i feel in my heart this is something i want to do is grow my own food. The things my grandparents and great grandparents did in the south before moving up north. Somehow somewhere homesteading has been lost. I want to really start off growing something 🙏🏿💕
Wow woman... that's a lot you doing in what most would consider a small space...
It is small and very intense. Lots of work, but a work of love in this small area.
I loved the video even more when you mentioned Cornell, LOL! Someone a$$hole where I had a part-time job said, "You go to Cornell?" I answered that I did, and he grunted that I should be going to Princeton. Not to be outdone, I said with my don't mess with me voice, "Princeton doesn't have an ag school." Love your place!
lol! I love that! Thanks for giving me a laughs today!
You really have captured the art of living!
Thank you. 🥰
I love this! I live in Ogden, Utah, a much colder climate, but I'm slowly building up the property to be like yours. It's a life-long process to be sure. If and when I visit St. George, I would love to visit and tour your homestead and check out all your products. Thank you for sharing your video!
Would love to see and meet you! 🥰
You have a beautiful home. This is what we want once we get out of California. ❤️
Thank you! It is a real joy! I'm starting to get the itch to get my garden going again for the new year!
So thankful this video came through my feed! Love your homestead and especially the garden areas! Gives me hope! I cannot wait to watch more of your videos and learn all I can!
~~Lisa
Thank you 🥰
Thanks for sharing. This beautiful
Beautiful! Reminds me of pictures from a story book perfect little garden. ❤
Beautiful 😍
Thank you.
Beautiful homestead! While watching I thought you were in a location with a lot of rain. But I see you aren't. Impressive and you gave me a lot of ideas on how to utilize my land. Thank you.
We are definitely a dry area. Lots of mulch, living mulch, intensively planting helps conserve water and helps this to be as lush as possible in the heat. 🙏🏼 🥰
I liked your garden and family 😊
Thank you so much 😊
I'd like to know the dimensions of your piece of paradise, it looks much bigger than half an acre. WOW
That is awesome, wish I could of done this too, Ty for sharing.
Absolutely stunning. God bless you!
Thank you so much!
