Thanks. I needed to see how to remove the deck on a Toro Z-Master with 52" deck. The layout is very similar to yours. Your video was the only one that showed everything that I needed to do.

but there is a belt that contains to the engine that runs on two pulleys a tensioner pulley to the mower deck he does not show how to remove the belt or installed about they don't even show replacing the tension pulley on that belt you can go do it all day long and you won't get it it's all about the more mower deck

I had to take the deck off my Bush Hog zero turn mower recently, and decided to paint the bottom surface where grass accumulates. It wasn`t too bad but, had some pitting in spots, so I decided to paint it to help make the surface smoother so the grass clippings wouldn`t stick to the bottom so much. Thanks for the demo.

4 14 MM bolts and the pulley assembly comes off / out of the top of the deck. Why did you remove the deck? You didn't have to. I just made this repair. Backed the mower up on ramps, undid the 4 bolts and slipped the assembly out and on the bench. Straightened, painted and reinstalled. SIMPLE!

All you had to do is take those 4 bolts out right below the pulley and the pulley assembly would come right out. No need to take off the deck. I've had my belt come off a couple of times and wind up under the pulleys and that's how you get the belt back on top without cutting the belt.

Umm couldn't you just start it up and back right over the deck ? I don't think the front tires will damage anything.

Looks like that pulley whacked a boulder or a tree stump, got damaged and then slipped the belt.

Hey how's it going. My dad has (2) 52" Exmark Lazer Zhp prolly from 1997/98 and one of the decks is starting to get worse and worse. Been all over the web search for a 52" deck with no luck. You guys think it's possible to take a 52" deck off and slap on a 60" since I'm finding them?

Only if the engine has enough hp to handle the extra cutting width.

The belt did not bend the pulley like that. Never heard of a belt bending a pulley.

My belt dropped below the pulley just like yours. Pulley is ok not bent. can I get the belt back on the pulley without removing the deck?

I suppose you could, by loosening the four bolts on the back of the deck which releases the two pulleys on the back center of the deck. You can then raise the pulleys up take the belt from under the pulley. Take the belt off of the very back tension pulley. Put both belts back on the double pulley, put the four bolts back in the bracket that holds the double pulley to the deck. Put the belt back on the tension pulley in the rear by using a 1/2 inch socket to raise the tension pulley and you're good to go. I removed my deck so I could get to everything easier. Good Luck

You done a lot of unnecessary work all you had to do was pull the 4 bolts on the back deck and it comes right out.
