For planeshing stakes I use a towball trailor hitch, and a rail road spike, Have a couple of different ones of them, 1 super smooth and polished and a couple of others not so polished. And all my planeshing stakes fit into my hardy hole in my anvil. I may even make a holder out of 25x25 box section and attach it to the side of the dishing stump....
When you cut angle iron in your bandsaw if you clamp it in the vise legs down like a tent it is much easier on the blade.. you have more uniform tooth engagement instead of clamping it like an L where you have a thin leg then a big flat part. In theory you should have no less than 3 teeth engaged with the metal. If you have more teeth engaged you can use a coarser blade which equals faster saw times.
Your video was really good, so I subscribed. I went to look for more you have shared and it looks like it has been a while. Hope all is well with you. If you make more, I'll watch them :-)
Check out Wray Schelin Pro Shaper chanel on his shrinking facilitator made out of 2 x 4 or 2 x 8 in a frame. so easy to make and replace if you damage a section but wray has used this for years.
How did the castors hold up once you started belting on it, I was going to do the same thing with mine but I thought the castors would fail pretty quick

Nice stump and I sure like the roll away feature. Thanks for the video.

Wouldn't those Castor's be zinc coated?
Do you even armor?
