Those 400-500w solo pulls from will look insane
This is how I felt during Spectrum when I attacked onto Mountain Home and then Will pulled through and kept going.
You have a hair on your profile pic. Please clean up a bit.
fuck it, took me 2 scratches to get that it was your profil picture :D
whoa! great race, amazing spring on finish! really nice!
Another awesome vid! Thanks. I’m looking forward to the Winspace review.
review is already on the channel! test / comparison video will be dropping soon.
"Don't go too early." Goes early himself. Classic.
Loving the videos with you and Will 👍🏻
More to come!
Great content and breakdown! Love it!
Thx Jeff for the cameos. Now I’m ready to start training and make a break in 2024
oo, I'll keep tabs on your testing of the T1550 & Hypers
Hey another great vlog Jeff, how does it work in the us with you guys going through red lights with the traffic coming from the left, thanks Dude.
the business park we chose is unoccupied and very quiet, we yield if there's any interference with traffic, pedestrians, or otherwise.
I guess those yellow markings on the ground are quite thick, can you ride on them without damage or loosing control of the bike?
My Emonda feels like it’s about to lift off during a turn at 26mph. Unstable as F. You guys make it look so easy at 30mph.
Can't wait to meet Will next season!
Yessir! Right back atya!
Welcome to the Thunderdome, Will.
🤣
The master of counter attacks 🫡
2 things: You know that betterhelp sells the information of the users, so would not recommend them (as it is not nice for your viewers)
And also: does the winspace come with an integrated Garmin mount?
I had the Matrix glitch on my Gopro with sound effects included! My 9 & 11 came malfunctioning out of the box then I have to do a replacement process through their technical support etc etc. It's really crazy but they are the best action cams in terms of image quality by long shot
good colab
Hi jeff subscriber here from the Philippines. Are you still on mikes bikes? You have a new bike winspace, is that the new sponsor of your team?
do the freehub’s still fall out of the winspace wheels when doing wheel change?
can't say i've ever experienced that
Jeff, I think I know the problem with your GoPro.... You probably loaded the Kodak roll of film in the back of the camera backwards! #onlyover40knows
This is exactly why I’m a Fujifilm guy.
How expensive is insurance to put a race on with a course open to cars and running red lights? This looks like exhibit A in a wrongful death lawsuit! 😮
Jeff, with the GoPro, unfortunately it seems that the inter-dimensional travel visa expired, so what you in fact have is an alien GoPro. You'll have to submit an application to the inter-dimensional office of para-dimensional travel (Yeah confusing right??) with the D14-A application form. Make sure it's the A form, NOT THE B FORM! Boy oh boy. I accidentally submitted the D14-B form once and it was a whole thing... So make sure its the A form. You'll have to submit it 3 weeks ago as they only accept applications from the past, not the present and certainly not the future, sorry... Once you've submitted the form 3 weeks ago, it'll take approximately 467 years, or roughly 8 generations to process, but once processed you'll then be approved for a factory reset which should hopefully fix everything.
Great comment 😂
It’s not a closed course?! That’s wild lol.
Fairly new subscriber and really enjoyed the content. Curious how you guys use a course open to traffic without being shutdown by local authorities? Thanks
Go away, Karen.
how the heck is that being a karen@@NoNameGiven-dw3cu
What's the best resource to find out about local (NorCal) races and cycling events?
Ncnca.org
Jeff, looking to replace my handlebar. I do have a rim brake bike (2016 - Cervelo S3). Which bar is on your bike for this race? Is that the Winspace bike?
That is not his winspace bike its his giant tcr advanced, and it's the zipp sl70 aero bars, i also own a pair and its the best bars ive ever owned, short reach, minimum flare, it looks slick and i just like the feeling of the flat tops.
@@bxnny6657 thanks for the feedback! Really appreciate it!
@@bxnny6657Certainly looked like it said Cervelo on the side at about 14:15
in this race i was riding the cervelo soloist with zipp aero bars. will was on the winspace t1550 with the winspace one piece carbon bar/stem.
Thanks Jeff! @@NorCalCycling
How is your hr is low at 40kph my hr is high like 160 to 170 at 40kph
Is it not a closed loop
Are the roads.blocked for this?
Wait, did you race Alviso on a winspace?
Will did
Yea I saw that
I notice there are cars by the side of the road, so is this crit on open roads or a cycle path?. i think we would struggle to do this in the uk. Interesting to find out though.
I believe its public roads, specifically a business area/industrial area. Low traffic.
this 👆
We do right turns to avoid crossing traffic. You’d obviously have to find a safe low traffic left turn course.
Cool, and is it a properly affiliated race? Or is alviso an improvised race for friends?
It's not a sanctioned race the riders don't have numbers. It's an informal race that's just training.
Are those cycling races always this short in the us? Just curious :)
no this is particularly short because it's noon on a weekday. sanctioned p/1/2 crits (elite) in the US are usually 60-90 minutes
Ahh okay👍
this isnt a race
What is it then?
looks like a weekday group ride. open roads, no sanctioning, no numbers - its not a race. @@beatsonfire9512
Didn’t calibrate. Tut, tut!
Why is there traffic on the course! Doesn’t look safe!
sweet fresh pavement
can you link max’s youtube channel?
Done
Please do not use bike stand clamp on a carbon tube if possible..use seat post
this is a fair request 😅 but rest assured, I had it resting there with no force, just balancing it for the video 🤙
1350w🎉
not bad for the end of a tough race in december 🤙
i LOLed at the "we're doing it live" bill o(douchebag)reilly-reference. well done
No reason to keep using gopro
still the best features on any action camera i've ever tried... when it's working
Not first, but I'm first to comment. Edit: woah thanks for the shout out!
Subbed! Your analyses are the bomb.
@@sjoerdvisser76 thank you! ;D
why is Alviso a ghost town? looks like a development that never happened. Big homes and lots of weeds.
They’re sparing the roads for the most important practice crit in the world 🤙
Segundo
Will was on the front too much.
Ah, another Alviso. Jeff riding with 8-9 other guys who are either incredibly dumb tactics wise (including our pro) or don't take this 'race' as seriously as Jeff does. Jeff always ends up with all those guys basically being his team mate and getting him to the sprint he can win easily.
rate (or more like roast) my tactics (max) ;D
@@m.ncycles Main issue coming into the race should be 'how to defeat Jeff' as he's one of the strongest riders in the field and clearly the fastest rider/sprinter. Obviously, as he gets win after win at Alviso. With that in mind:
3:50 You help chase down Will, doing too much work. Let Jeff do the bulk of the work. He always gets away with way too much sitting in and sitting on, others are way too happy to chase for him. Better off trying to jump across after Jeff has done a turn and get a break going without Jeff.
@@m.ncycles 4:30 You let Jeff, of all people, go up the road with Blaine. Instead of being on his wheel you have to bridge across by yourself, thereby unnecessarily burning a few matches.
6:40 Jeff was happy with the four of you sharing the workload. He should not be happy, he should do more than you and the others. In a break of four, aim for about 35% of the work for Jeff. Even workload means everybody gets tired, no opportunity to attack him, so Jeff wins the sprint.
@@m.ncycles 13:25 You give Jeff all the time to recover and get ready for the sprint. The rest of the bunch should have kept going for a break. Surge, let Jeff close the gap and then the next rider goes/riders go. One of you will get the win, the other next week. Now Jeff wins every week.
@@m.ncycles 15:25 You close the gap for... Jeff. It should be the other way around.
16:51 Move of the day. It was not all bad, that was a great move. And without Will and Jerome inexplicably playing Jeff's team mates, you would have gotten a deserved win.
Because of that last move I give you a 5.5 out of 10. Which at least is a much better score than I'd give the pro (for what it's worth). Tactically you outperformed him.
Will recorded the "content", jeff you recorded vomit inducing stuff
ya my gopro had issues i replaced it after this race
As a NorCal MTBer I have no idea what’s going on, but I found the video really interesting and watched the whole thing. 🫡
Thank you!!
