RPD & Midwich Huntress Orbital Hatchet Guide (60 FPS)

The orbitals on Midwich and Lery's are possible due to the roof having one-way collision. One thing to note is that orbitals differ between 60 and 120 FPS so the exact spots may not work for you if are playing the game on higher FPS. There are definitely more orbitals that can be hit on these maps but they're either ridiculously rare or heavily reliant on luck.
Also my voice is a little weird due to swelling caused by dental treatment and for that I apologise! :D

@@samhack3008Oh, if you mean at 9:20 it's because my friend forgot to work on the gen but the shots were both on target. It's for the long side of the gen
thanks so much for your dedication, these are hard for me, not even practicing with bots could i land them with any other advice, but your help was the only one that worked consistently. not always since i'm not great, but half the time, and it helps me apply that knowledge on other gens. knowing how off you were with your shot is hard if you don't have a friend to play in customs with. so your guides are very much appreciated
Thank you for the guide! However, when you show the survivor getting hit, it would be nice to see where the hatchet is coming from, just hard to see what exactly I'm aiming for
Hey, no problem. I'll keep that in mind for future videos. You can use the aura of generators to aim for each side and hooks are self-explanatory. The generators can be tricky if they're at an angle but you'll get used to it with practice

Working on a guide for Dead Dawg Saloon right now, hoping to done soon. I was going to add Lery's to it as well because I know over a dozen spots for that map too but they're impractical so will just leave them for a compilation video

update: i tried many times but i feel like everytime there is different variation of the midwich and i couldnt even tried any of those hits from the video@@NymAM
@@stian2059It's stupid but orbitals differ for different FPS. If you run the game at 120FPS these exact spots won't work for you but if you run it at 60 they will

@@stian2059 It's the same thing with some killer techs. Wesker has a "tech" that he can grab survivors from the other side of low obstacles and slam them. Players who play at 120fps can't perform this
Alternatively you could try reducing FPS to 60 if yours is at 120
I believe this has already been outdated. I've just found this tutorial and hopped in a custom with my partner to try some of these. It seems like the hatchets all land a tad higher / further than they do in this video. I was having that issue with 100% consistency for each of these orbital set ups I tried. I know the messed up her hatchet aim recently and quickly fixed it, but I think it wasn't set back to be absolutely the same trajectory as it was before. It's just a theory, anyway, on why the aforementioned issues with higher hatchets might exist. Please let me know if you have noticed the same issue, I feel like I'm going crazy haha
Heya, that's because orbitals travel at different distances based on your FPS. All these shots will work if you run the game at 60fps. :)
@@NymAM That's the thing, I already play on 60 fps. I made sure to double check that before I commented. I also wasnt using any hatchet speed add ons. Those are the only variables I'd be aware of that could change the hatchet's trajectory.
@@Ultra_Pear You might be right, I was in a Midwich game today (haven't played in a while) and orbitals that would normally hit weren't connecting. All of the RPD ones still work for me though. I'll be making a google doc soon which I'll update for as long as I play the game but right now I'm working on finishing the guide for Dead Dawg Saloon which is literally on its last two-three clips.

The midwich game I was talking about in which I missed was actually survivors having aura reading on me and seeing what I was doing

I actually decided to edit out the Lery's orbitals yesterday because explaining and demonstrating them took almost 8 minutes so I'll just release that as a separate video with another map
Trying to get spawns on Lery's is a pain! But I think I'll be covering one map per video now seeing as the larger ones have more WAY more variants than Midwich and RPD
@@NymAM I'm sorry I didn't answer earlier: at the moment it is necessary to spend a lot of time on studies and personal affairs, so sometimes I can accidentally not answer something (for the same reason, unfortunately, now I very rarely go into the dbd itself).
I perfectly understand the complexity of the orbital hatchets on Lery's (both in terms of the throws themselves and in terms of spawns) and, as a result, I am even more looking forward to this beauty on your channel :)

I think I will skip a guide on Lery's because orbitals on that map don't really have any value and serve mostly just as a near party trick. The next map I'll be covering is DDS.

I've been tearing apart the knight map
It's an interesting one but sucks for orbitals that are neither charged or done with fly speed addons
I've trained my snipes there, I can do them if there are no objects in the way, but you inspired me to try this approach more and got one already x)@@NymAM

This good stuff, its like you said, general distance muscle memory is better, but i have a folder in my head of different spots that are easy to hit. This added to them on maps i nvr bothered with. Ty. Specialist advice for a very few people. Thank you for ur time.
