    I truly appreciate your channel, and the info you provide.
    Here’s my problem: I have MS, and tried working in 2005. Even though I was assured by a SSD government agent that I could work, but had to make under a certain amount, a re-evaluation containing original paperwork was automatically “kicked-out.” What I made was much lower than SSD’s requirement.
    I’m in the middle of a divorce, and can’t receive any extra benefits or help in any way.
    I’ve just been diagnosed w/ thyroid cancer, which, w/ MS, has left me basically bed bound, so a side-hussle is impossible. I can’t afford cancer treatment, and have decided to not do anything. It’s a “shit sandwich,” but my quality of life would decrease further.
    Choosing between food and meds is becoming a reality…sure I’m not alone in this economy.
    I receive $1600 a month, so my problem is compounded.
    Any suggestions?

    Everyone states that checks will increase to $2400 a month however that will be with COLA. How do you explain mine in 2024 will still be less than $1500.00 per month. I never owned a house and barely living on what I have. I am however a US Army vet and why would I need double Medicare, Medicaid when I have the VA????? I am not getting a retirement check from the VA. They claim I was not part of any war campaign. My friend lost her husband and she is getting her husbands SSI as a widow and she is getting $2,000.oo per month, never working a day in her life. she has no mortgage and on homestead exemption. I own no home of my own and have to pay rent. I word 38 years to be in the poor house.The rent in Tampa is eating my check up. She is always complaining about not having enough and really I would like to trade shoes. She makes me angry!!!!

      I understand your concerns about managing your expenses in the current economy. It can indeed be challenging, and you're not alone in facing this situation.
      Many individuals in similar circumstances have found ways to manage their expenses and stretch their income. Here are a few strategies:
      Budgeting: Careful budgeting can help you understand where your money is going and identify areas where you might be able to cut back.
      Housing Assistance: There are programs available that can help offset the cost of housing.
      Food Assistance: Programs like SNAP can help reduce your grocery bills.
      Medical Assistance: There are programs that can help with medical expenses, including prescription drug costs.
      Supplementing Income: You can earn up to $1,110 a month in 2024 and still keep your Social Security Disability benefits. Watch the video on this website to learn more: www.thedisabilitydigest.com/how-much-i-can-make/

    • @TheDisabilityDigest

      I understand your query. For 2024, the amount you can earn while keeping your Social Security Disability benefits is $1,110 per month if you're a W-2 employee. If you're self-employed and filing 1099, this is the net amount after expenses.
      For more detailed information, I recommend watching the video on our website that explains the Social Security Administration's regulations on this matter. You can find it here: www.thedisabilitydigest.com/how-much-i-can-make.

    Why do we have to pay for part B

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  Před 4 měsíci

      understand that paying for Medicare Part B might seem confusing. Medicare Part B is not free because it covers services and supplies that are necessary to treat your health condition. This includes outpatient care, preventive services, ambulance services, and durable medical equipment.
      The premiums you pay for Part B help to offset the costs of these services. It's a shared cost model, where everyone contributes a small amount to ensure that everyone can get the care they need when they need it.

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  Před 5 měsíci

      I understand your concerns and fears about supplementing your income and potentially risking your benefits. It's a common worry among many people receiving Social Security Disability benefits.
      However, the Social Security Administration does have work incentives in place that allow you to work and still receive benefits. For 2024, you can earn up to $1,110 a month and still keep your benefits. This amount is gross if you're a W-2 employee or net after expenses if you're self-employed filing 1099.
      To help you navigate this process, we've created a video that explains the SSA regulations in detail. You can watch it here: www.thedisabilitydigest.com/how-much-i-can-make.

    Brian, l have been watching your videos for quite some time now so that before l die l can help my grandson get back his SSI that he had since he was 20 months old but when he turned 18 SSA said he didn't qualify as an adult. He has 2 rare genetic disorders, ADD, asthma, excema, his medicines alone are over $20,000.00 per month. The most he will ever get is SSI and medicaid to help with medications and doctor visits. I just can't believe how ignorant some people are in the comment section. You are just trying to help people by giving them FREE INFOMATION. l just want to say thank you for giving up your time to try and help people. I think in one video that you did, you stated that your office is helping more than 150,000 people. I personally want to THANK YOU for the info that you do put out. You do not make the rules for SSA. Some people l guess will always have something to complain about. Thank you again.

    Hello can you help me understand why when I look up how much I can make and keep my benefits from Gov. Site....the amount is $1,550 for non-blind disabled people... Help me understand 😢

    • @TheDisabilityDigest
      @TheDisabilityDigest  Před 5 měsíci

      Hello! I understand your confusion. The amount you're referring to, $1,550, is the Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) amount for non-blind individuals for 2024. This is the limit you can earn per month while still being eligible to apply for Social Security Disability benefits.
      However, once you're approved and start receiving benefits, the amount you can earn and still keep your benefits is different. For 2024, you can earn up to $1,110 per month and keep your Social Security Disability benefits. This amount is gross if you're a W-2 employee or net after expenses if you're self-employed filing 1099.
      I hope this clarifies the difference for you. If you need more information, you can watch this video that explains the Social Security Administration's regulations: www.thedisabilitydigest.com/how-much-i-can-make.

      My state Medicaid program pays my Medicare monthly premium because I fall below the state program threshhold and am pphysically disabled. The state gets paid for every recipient on their program, so the state tries to keep as many of us low income individuals on their state program. It's one of the few programs, federal/state, that are keeping my head above water.

      I'm truly sorry to hear about your husband's situation. It's clear that you both are going through a challenging time.
      Your husband may be eligible for Social Security Disability benefits if he has worked long enough and paid Social Security taxes. The eligibility for disability benefits is based on his medical condition and how it affects his ability to work.
