Yeah my buddy with his mk8 R on eqt e85 uses 5W40
I’m on oem oil still running eqt aswell as e85

Yea I’ve seen big turbo guys use 5w40, what’s the benefit of it tho?

@@Stoneymk8 from what I heard on forums & mk8 fb group these cars tend to burn oil… especially when you’re tuned like us for example the car runs extremely hot VERY VERY quick dude… just a thicker oil & saving yourself in the long run, a few of my buddies with is38’s mk7’s run it with zero issues I wanna say it’s just preference but it seems to work at the end of the day….

Have to agree hate how VW pushes 0w-20 i said fuck that went with 5w-30 first oil change. Getting tuned by 034 motorsport switching to 5w-40 just to be safe.
