Up until about a week ago my cobbAP was down for about 4 weeks. A connection issue between my ecu and theAP. Still unsure exactly the cause of this issue but there is a FIX! Appreciate WCAVD for their knowledge and fast customer service! IF YOU ARE LOCAL I definitely recommend their work! @WCAVD on IG!! Glad we back and running! Much more fire content on the way!! Aye bros I’m on the same page 😂 I just said fuck it! I get the full e tune is 400tq but the upgraded clutch in the mk8 handlesssss ! I’ve seen from other mk8s this bad boy holdin damn near 430hp chillin on stock clutch with upgrades like dp, Intercooler off stock clutch. Wouldn’t recommend all that but stock clutch is good for over what they rated it at fasho. It’s the mk7 r clutch✌🏽

Awesome vid man great content as always. Does your third gear shift feel weird sometimes? Its like almost a resistance but its almost unnoticable and it only happens pretty rarely other times it goes it smooth as normal. Idk if its the way I'm driving or what but I couldn't find anything online.

@@Stoneymk8 Ah thank you man i swear i be tweaking. Bought the car used 20k miles so im just praying last owner didn't beat on the clutch cus they're made of paper lmfao. But i got my billetworkz weighted shift knob coming that ur video inspired me to get so hopefully that'll make the shifts a bit better. got the titanium tall teardrop one so i think it'll look dope. Anyways im excited for those RPF1's to come into play, i remember watching Jewels and he said that the lighter rims especially the RPF1s is gonna get your car mooovin. Same here man I got mine used with just under 24k , damn near brand new. These cars got a lot of life in them. And I guess we'll see if getting it in titanium will be a huge mistake as my car rots in Florida heat in my driveway. U need the hub centering ring idk what the rpf1 center Bore is but the vw has 57.1 center bore for example I got konig wheels on my gti center bore 66mm so I got centering rings for 66mm-57.1mm

@@Stoneymk8center bore on the RPF1’s is 72mm. So you’ll need 57.1mm ID to 72mm OD hub centric rings. Don’t forget different lugs too since the seat is different.
Has your diverter valve given you any problems? No oil leaks to ?
@@Anth29onys.Cardenas so far no issues with the stock diverter valve even with a dv spacer on it, no oil leaks either 🤙🏾
Does your car sit for long periods of time?
not really the longest it would sit is 2 days max. its the daily

I have the same car… what was your reasoning behind going e85 over 91 high torque file?
I’m on a low torq file cuz of stock clutch but e85 just has better overall engine timing. Hence the big hp gain over 91🤙🏾
Hows the stock clutch holding up? Heard good things about this generation when it comes to the stock clutch compare to last gens. Thinking about getting a 91 low torque file but im still worry about the stock clutch tbh lol. Might be a good video for anybody else wondering about stock clutch with a low torque file. @@dominiccarpio715yeah stock clutch is holding up pretty solid. Mk8s get the last gen golf r clutch so it is more capable out the box than the mk7s fasho. Definitely I vid I’ll start workin on🤙🏾

my friend gave me his tune cobb but i have to delete his profile on tune then download the mk8 tune on my computer to upload my version and somehow is not reading it. im just wondering did you have to download it on the computer then install to your car??
Nah man the tune was pre loaded from Cobb, complete plug and play

@@joshuaersando6598 yeah man at that point just take it over to a shop, I was having the same connection issues but they did a hard reset on the AP and something to do with removing the battery and did another reset on the car I believe but after that it was solid👌🏽

U getting any misfires switching from the e tune to pump?
I get an average of 1 or 2 “misfires” that read on my cobb AP but I still get no codes and the car runs fine. But that’s just on e, I have yet to switch back to pump, which I heard is good to do here and there when running e so it can clean out the system

can confirm from buying one new two years ago, they have crappy shifter linkage. Something VW has had issue with for a long time.

When u disconnect the battery need to rest set steering angle that’s why the lights are not n after reconnecting the battery start the car and turn the steering all the way to the left the all the way to right and lights will go off all Vw’s do that

Sup man just got my MK8 GTI yesterday in atalntic blue absolutely loving the car, cant wait to be like you and get a stage 1. No e85 where I live so gonna have to settle with a 91 or 93 tune. Its surprisingly fast stock I cant imagine how quick its gonna be once its tuned. Love the content as always have a great day

Its fun not shifting out of second and letting the revs get past 4-5k to hear the pops. Absolutely glad I got the manual though I just don't think the car would be as fun with DSG. @@cjyayday6270it has a great growl to it. It’s very OEM+. It will definitely compliment a downpipe while not being overly aggressive which i will do some day down the road. Absolutely no annoying drone either. As it is with stock downpipe im very happy. Also the fitment is perfect and i like how it doesn’t hang lower like other companies

Honestly it didn’t take much getting use too it. It’s the same wheel just with touch buttons so far I haven’t had any problems accidentally hitting buttons I didn’t want to push🤷🏽♂️
