Man, we really thought we had it bad when we kept hearing about Raid: Shadow Legends. Atleast the devs tried with that game and got somewhere!
I haven't seen raid shadow legend for months. But for some fucking reason I can't get rid of ebony the kings return. I've even have gotten rid 90% of ads in my settings. Yet every fucking time I see the same ad ten thousand times. I'm going going to go on Google a mod tell these commies exactly where story can stick ebony the kings return. I played it for 10 minutes got to like level 9 and it's nothing but blatant lies.
The thing is, raids ads were annoying but atleast they werent straight lying to you. Whether the game itself is good or not is completely subjective but atleast they didn't try to deceive people like most mobile game ads these days
yeah, Raid might be a little annoying but at least they're mostly advertising the actual gameplay, and if it's your jam or not is up to you. With Evony it's like they're not even trying.
I liked the ads for raid shadow legend when they had that hot chic in the advertisement then the ads vanished I suppose I might have blocked the ads when she disappeared from the ads

The longer I watched, the more disgusted I felt at the unabashed corruption of CZcams in allowing blatant false advertising to thrive on their platform, doing their best to obfuscate the process of reporting fraudulent content, and then utterly ignoring all such reports because the fraudsters made CZcams money.

The thing is, once you realize the actors and voices in their ads are all synthesized (not real people or voices) from an AI dataset compiled using various keywords to match the effect the advertiser was going for, the rabbit hole gets deeper.

I had to laugh when I saw the game maker's response to the ads being fake was......"But the advertising is actually part of OUR game"! He's absolutely correct! The ads are a part of THEIR game, not THE game itself!!! They are playing games alright and it needs to stop. It's false advertising. I'm not a huge gamer but for the first time in a year I decided to download some games and out of the 4 games downloaded, all were promptly uninstalled after realizing that it was just a load of junk. These folks must be stopped!

found this video since i searched âevony mobile game adâ i was hoping someone out there felt the pain i was going thru, iâm glad i was right. i havenât gotten this angry at any ad ever before. i think it was how confident the ad was that it was real that pissed me off. add on the goober obviously dubbed over sent me over the rails. i got the same ad in the middle of this video (how ironic) and it couldnât help but gaze in awe at how shitty this ad is. great video by the way, youâre doing gods work.
The mini game is most certainly an after thought because it didn't use to be in Evony to my recollection. It advertised itself somewhat normally at first but later down the line it began to have sidebar ads on websites and I believe they're one of the first to set the trend of using half-naked women, real, 3D or otherwise, sometimes in medieval outfits sometimes in lingerie, whatever to catch your eye but I'm sure that eventually got them into some trouble because they stopped. Now they're doing this and still using insidious tactics to get people to download
Evony is over 13 years old. At least the original version which was browser-based. They used to run ads on Facebook over a decade ago. It was originally called Civony.

I remember they were one of the ugly poster children for fake and slimy advertising. They used to slap their ad banners full of hot women and taglines like âCome play with me, my lord!â when the gameplay had nothing to do with that whatsoever.

I suspect that the reason why the game play doesn't match the ad because the company advertising probably gets a bonus for every download, regardless of whether 99% of people uninstall within 5 minutes.
That or to install the app they ask for a bunch of device permissions and then scrape your phone for data they can sell to ad companies. It's extremely common with free apps from shady overseas companies in countries with basically zero laws regarding software/copyright/user privacy.
They're predatory and evil. And it's not far fetched to assume that these games get downloaded by children, so they're also preying on children. I'm not religious but there's certainly a place in hell reserved for people who make these things.

This video is severely underrated. Iâm an active K34 (Keep lv34) Evony player. Seeing these ads disgust me so much. The actual game isnât so bad, but the amount of money-grabbing and pay-to-win advantages in the game is just overwhelming. I have a friend in the same alliance who has spent over $40,000 on the game. Yes, $40,000. Thatâs not a typo. The most famous player, Sir Phillip, has spent over $500,000. You can track how much people spent because theres something called VIP level. These misleading ads are disgusting money-grabbing scheme

Evony has been around for over a decade. They used to have a web based flash game similar to the app as it was city building, but very different execution of it. The ads for that game appealed to a sexual sense, having a scantily clad âqueenâ asking you to save her.
The mobile game has been around for several years and is one of the top grossing mobile games in the world. Some top players have spent over $100k on their accounts. A $5-7k player is considered mid sized by those serious about the game. The entire city building game is based around spending money because the building upgrade times and resources required can be insane. They reach well into the thousands of days.
As far as the ads go, after finishing nearly all of the puzzles, a couple are like the CZcams ads and I bet that is how they get away with it. When I say a couple, I mean two, and when I say most of the puzzles, I have done hundreds. So misleading, but I bet they show platforms the puzzles do exist and that skirts the system.
Anyways, game is a huge time and money game, riddled with glitches, and with very little customer support. Donât recommend.
Alright I am going to be honest here Iâd rather sit through a Raid shadow legends ad, but the most funny thing about it is that frickinâ RSL has more gameplay than Evony the Kings Return which is actually hilarious!

Yes, there are puzzles in it. But most mobile game players figure out very quickly that it is a city building game with combat capabilities.
Anyone can simply stop playing the game. Many long term players don't even bother with puzzles.

2:29 I would say it's a combination of CZcams getting a cut of the ad revenue and general moderator apathy. The news network channels are inundated with Troll Farm bots who spam the same repetetive messages on every video. Worse are the bots who impersonate legitimate users while spamming. The most irritating parts of the Evony ads is a turd sundae of the "puzzles" either designed to be unwinnable or the "play" is deliberately incompetent with the giant kidney stone topping of an annoying d-bag going "NONONO!"
I actually tried the game out...and I couldn't get to play it because it kept crashing on me.
All I can say is looking at the artwork, it's possibly another chinese strategy game with minor puzzle elements.

It's like if in all the ads for Kingdom Hearts 2, all they showed was the Little Mermaid music rhythm minigame. All of the commercials were only about someone trying and failing the rhythm game and even the box art from the game was just Ariel and Sora singing. Understandably anyone looking at the game would assume that it's just one big rhythm game. Then when you find out that the actual game is something COMPLETELY different, Square Enix is like "what do you mean? the rhythm game is in there...somewhere, so we're not lying!"

Getting the poorly dubbed evony ad at the point in the video where youâre talking about said ad is a cursed experience that I and probably others who have watched this video have endured.

Even if you can skip some ads let's say on average each ad is 30 seconds. 150 minutes you waste a month watching ads. About 2 and a half hours gone. 1 hour of work at minimum wage is $15. CZcams Premium is $12 a month. By watching ads you lose $33 a month of opportunity cost. That doesn't require spending your life on CZcams and those are modest estimates.
