  • Dealing with Difficult Personalities During Toolbox Talks [Top 3 of the ABSOLUTE WORST]
Let's face it. Standing up in front of a group of people can be a daunting task, many that strike fear in grown men. You are just there to try and relay some information to the craft that could hopefully keep them out of harms way for that day, but someone in the crowd decides to try and hijack the meeting.
In this video we are going to talk about 3 of the most difficult personalities that you WILL encounter in your career when you try to lead a safety meeting, and how you can overcome it and get through the meeting like a true professional!
Now that you have made it this far, go check out SafeSite before doing anything else at safesitehq.com/!

Welcome to the Safety Spiel CZcams Channel
At Safety Spiel, we are dedicated to bringing you professional and RELATABLE Health and Safety tips that you can take with you and use in the field - and even in the office - and we are bringing it right to your screen!
Take these videos and play them in the field for craft personnel or right before a meeting to cover your safety moment. However you want to use it, we have got you covered!
We are trying to break the preconceived notion that Health and Safety has to be boring, dull and uptight, because it doesn’t!
As much as we are here to arm the craft with the tools necessary to safely do their job, we are also here to provide insight to Management as well as assisting the up and coming Health and Safety Professional who may be struggling to find their footing or have their questions answered.
If you have any comments, or feedback, we would love to hear them. Feel free to email us at terry.gregory@safetyspiel.com

Everyone should be sharing your channel with their safety directors, safety coordinators, and all workers really. I feel like a lot of guys dismiss this new surge in safety importance over the last few decades because it's so much so soon. So often my safety guy gets a printout from a random collection of toolbox talks and reads it like a robot. You gotta speak the language of your workers in a way that makes them actually understand and care. Thats what you do. Keep on trucking, bro. You're gonna blow up as long as you don't quit.

Hey Matthew thank you so much for the kind words! This is exactly why I wanted to create this channel, to give Safety Professionals of varying levels, Management and the general workforce a better understanding of this field and try not to come off as such an uptight robot as many that I am sure both of us have encountered, lol.
Trying to make engaging, relatable content that everyone can learn from and I do enjoy when I hear that people are on the same page as what I am trying to accomplish.
If you have anything that YOU would like to see me make a video on, I am all ears and I will tackle it as soon as possible.
Thanks again Matt, have a Happy New Year!

That is amazing and funny at the same time. Good on you though! I had a Construction Manager one time who felt the rules didn’t apply to them either in some instances. It’s a battle we all must fight unfortunately. I think you handled it wonderfully though

Man i have, mostly only the HVAC/Technical guys. My boss never backed me up. He was always conveniently absent. Its cool though. We had a definite decrease in lost-time accidents/incidents the more I trained. Audits were another thing, but eventually did level off in the acceptable/improved category/bracket. its definitely a process.
