- Ogwashi-Uku is a town located in Delta State, Nigeria. It is located off the Benin-Asaba expressway, approximately 10 km southwest of Asaba, the state capital.
The town is known for its rich cultural heritage, as well as its numerous tourist attractions.
To get to Ogwashi-Uku from the Benin-Asaba expressway, you can take a local road that branches off from the expressway towards the town. The road is paved, and there are usually signposts to guide you to your destination.
Alternatively, you can take a bus or taxi from Asaba, which is the nearest major city, to Ogwashi-Uku. The journey takes about 20 minutes by road, and there are usually several options for transport available

Hope you will do a second part of this video because you did not show the main town. Now talking about dialect and origin. The anioma people of delta state majorly came from the east although they met some settlers upon arrival but the migrants from the east established the traditional political and economic system in place till today. The social dialects vary due to interactions with other tribes but the natural dialects remain the same. Take for example the various parts of the body like the head, hand, leg, eyes etc. The dialect for these parts are the same pointing to a similar origin. My point is that anywhere natural dialects are the same irrespective of the social dialects then the people should see themselves as having the same origin.

Nice Video, I'm from Ubulu-Uku Aniocha South with Ogwashi-Uku, Just like what you've explained if you meet 100 people from our region 50 will tell you they're Igbos while 50 will tell you they're not, it's always been like that, Same thing with Ekwerw people in Rivers state, but as for me I believe we're Igbos , Everyone with their own view, anyway thanks for the Video next time try and get to the main town cos anyone who's not from Aniocha South will think Ogwashi-Uku is not developed at all , God bless you
Well explained, thank you for educating us. Unfortunately, i was constrained by certain circumstances and we couldn't reach main Ogwashi-Uku town. If not the movement would have been to enter the town follow Ibusa and bust out at Asaba.

Good job but I feel this kind of video require ur visit to people of the land to give u deeper understanding of the land... am from ogwashi uku, omo olu to b precise... and honestly it's been ages I came home and iv only visited twice... it was out of the desire to know what's happening at home I came looking for something like this... I may be wrong but my mother told me that we don't identify as igbo rather we identify as anioma people and we speak not igbo but enuani...

Please get your facts horrect. There has never been a time when an Ogwashi Uku denied his Igbo ancestry. If other towns in delta claims to be of no igbo ancestry. That's a matter for them but Igwashi uku proudly claim their igbo ancestry.period.

Please you did not represent ogwashi uku very well. You can not even pronounce the names of the villages very well. JJ and ngozi are not the only notable people from ogwashi. What of the Uwaechie, Raphael and George ,they both help prominent positions in nigeria at a particular time. What of the police college, what about the dam, so many things you did not mentioned about the great ogwashi uku.

If they are dirty, it means it's by chance. But there are some other roads in Southeast under my coverage and they are very neat. Search back or keep eyes open, you will see them. 👍
That area is part of Benin empire and made up of Edo, Igala, yoruba, and igbos. Their language is influenced by igbo language but it is not igbo. So this area is a mix. Igbos in these area mostly came here during slavery.
