    Sesame seeds Chikki:
    These seeds are rich in Calcium and are known to have been fed to breastfeeding mothers to increase lactation. Sweets made of sesame are a delicacy that new moms can snack on.
    These seeds are packed with several essential nutrients like protein, calcium, ascorbic acid and beta carotene. This makes it a major immunity booster and it also stimulates milk production in nursing mothers due to the presence of phytochemicals that resemble oestrogen.
    Ingredients:
    Sesame seeds - 1 cup
    Jaggery - 1 cup
    Ghee - 2 tbsp
    Cardomom powder - 1/2 tsp
    Preparation:
    Dry roast sesame seeds for 3 mins in med flame.
    Keep it aside.
    Add ghee ,jaggery and let it to melt.
    Once it melts, cook for 1-2 minutes and check the consistency.
    (How to check consistency:
    Drop little jaggery syrup in a bowl of water.
    It should be easy to break and its the right
    consistency to make chikki)
    Mix well,add cardomom powder and add sesame seeds
    and give a quick mix(be fast) and immediately
    Transfer it into a board or plate( should be greased with ghee) and roll it evenly ( grease the rolling pin with ghee).
    Once rolled,cut it into shapes.
    Let it cool down and then remove it and
    store it an airtight box.
