I agree. I got to see them live a few years ago too, they were great.
Love how Phil has grown tremendously as a vocalist, and the band as a whole has gotten better with time.
He was decent on Absolution, but he is one of the best vocalists in Metal now.
Saw them live last year. Phil didn't do any clean vocals. Everything was growled. I was kinda disappointed.

What are you even talking about? You obviously don't know what the word underrated means. This band is highly successful and criticality acclaimed. So they are actually rated right where they belong, at the top.
Top3 doom acts? Are you kidding me? How did you count it? Any why doom? They sound nothing like traditional doom metal band. This band gets no big tours across the world, on occasion festivals they get small playing time, they have 44k subs on Facebook. If you compare to doom metal, here a few bands to compare: Candlemass, My Dying Bride, Draconian, Esoteric. Khemmis is bigger than these ones as soon as they are top3? But then again, they have nothing to do with doom metal, at least past few records.

They have small recognition in metal world, you're being delusional. No one among my 'metal' friends knows this band. They are not getting attention they deserve.
@@s13gaming72 They may be critically acclaimed, but they're definitely not all that big in the metal scene, I hadn't heard a single thing about them before this track popped up on my recommended (It's fantastic by the way). Though, that could be because I mostly listen to melodeath and not doom metal.
I met these guys in Silver Spring Maryland a few years ago when Deceiver just released, such chill people making beautiful music.
Randomly discovered this amazing band years ago after their first album released and have been along for the ride ever since. So happy for their continued growth and success.
This song is the perfect example of why Phil is my favorite vocalist.

I was just reading Phil's little interview with Apple Music, and I'm so glad they decided to continue to make music. We've lost way too many bands and creative endeavors to the pandemic.

Usually not a doom metal guy but this whole album is a masterpiece and an expert class on melody. Dudes voice is majestic and the choruses are all amazing. Some of the vocal hooks and melodies are so catchy
Pendergast has gotten far more confident as a vocalist. Listen to each album in order, can hear the evolution of his voice and even the band's sound as a whole

Saw these dudes DESTROY the Paramount Theater tonight May 8th 2022 in Seattle opening up for Opeth and Mastodon!!!! MY WIFEY AND I ARE BLOWN AWAY!!! So bad ass to hear a new band we've yet to come across and be this farkin RAD!!!! Yall made us new fans!!!!yall KILLED IT!!!Made it even sweeter that theead singer said he was a local boy growing up in North Bend,Wa!!!! We came 3 hours over the mountain from Yakima to see the show.. GREAT FUCKIN BAND!!!!GUITARS WERE INSANE!!!!VOCALS FREAKING RIGHTEOUS!!!!!
