    Hi , these look delicious.
    Can we use ready ground flour and if not....as I have bajra millet can I just grind that without washing and drying first ? 🤔 as the weather is not hot enough to dry them without it taking days 😩

    • @SaveraGirl
      @SaveraGirl  Před rokem

      I hope the ground flour was soaked, dried and then milled. Pls check with the supplier. Grains must be soaked before using. Even atta we keep for sometime after making dough and before making roti. This is called 'resting' the flour. Its an important step and helps in digesting better. You can try drying inside and then roasting on gas or drying in oven before grinding. Or use the wet batter and cook like 'chila'

    • @SaveraGirl
      @SaveraGirl  Před 2 lety +4

      It’s called Komo Grain mill. I think it would be great for someone in India to design this. A great business idea & opportunity. India is home to mills. In fact we should go back to the tradition of every neighborhood having a ‘chakki’ - it’s own local mill!

    Can i use millet flour from the store rather than making my own? I tried this with buckwheat flour and the dough was too wet to roll adding more flour did not work....they turned out hard. I am ready to give up.

    Do you have toast the millets before grinding?

    • @SaveraGirl
      @SaveraGirl  Před 2 lety +2

      You can toast if you like. Then wash & cook. It makes a difference in the taste. But toasting is totally optional.

    Please share about your grinding mill, where did buy this from, is it working in good condition?

    • @SaveraGirl
      @SaveraGirl  Před 2 lety +2

      I don’t have the mill. The lady who demonstrated bought it online. It’s called ‘Komo’ mill. There are other makes available. If you are in India you can find a local Mill to grind for you. It’s a great idea to get together with your friends & neighbors, promote this knowledge, grow herbs, millets & set up a local mill. There is some effort involved but that is the way to go to benefit ourselves & our communities. ✨🌿

    Cant we make dough like normal wheat?? Do we have to boil water n then mix flour?? Y is it so?

    • @SaveraGirl
      @SaveraGirl  Před 2 lety

      Because this flour is different from wheat. Very high in fiber & doesn’t have gluten like wheat. So binding is difficult. Hot water helps. We can also add urad dal flour (1:4 ratio where 1part is of the dal). Then use hot water & make the dough.
