I also unbox aquatic amphibians for the first time along with more lizards, snakes and turtles. Sent from around the United States, these reptiles and amphibians are examples of different results of both good bad husbandry. Some previous owners care, others... not so much. These animals will be with us for a few months while we ensure they're all as healthy as they can be, and sold to responsible buyers online :)

just wanted to share my FedX story. I got a leopard gecko 6ish years ago (he's lovely- and healthy!) and had him shipped overnight to me. the FedEx guy rang the doorbell hanged me the box, had me sign then just lingered there for a moment before asking what was in the box. since it clearly said all the normal stuff 'living creature.' 'handle with care' ect. So I told him. he didn't really know what a leopard gecko was. I asked if he wanted to look. So the unboxing of my first reptile was joined by a random FedX worker who thought my leo was the coolest thing ever.

DJ D!TCH buying online may be a momentary stressor for an animal but everything is done to ensure their comfort. The boxes are padded and a heat pack provided for warmth. Shipping reptiles allows them to be transferred to loving home (hopefully). Plus i would never support buying a reptile from a pet store. You have no idea what the genetics of these reptiles are- their previous care- or health. Plus how do you think reptiles come to stores? Also shipped. But they are shipped to stores in bulk- no individualized care or heat.

Like its not that hard to just buy an info book for 5 dollars with all the information you need. Like how to set up proper lightning, healthy diets, handling, what kind of substrate to use, and all that. I dont get how anyone could mess up with that. I cant comprehend how uncaring, uninterested and lazy someone could be to mess up most of these things.

LittleBrotherSocket Yeah theres some things that we mess up somehow. Ive seen many people saying that the best substrate for beardies is just newspaper or something like that. I still have mine on a dirt mix. I dont want my lizard to sit on a towel or newspaper. Never had any issues with that.

Heyyo, I'm the one who sent the underweight beardie! Sadly, he was underweight because he just refused to eat for quite a while (though he started eating again a few weeks before I shipped him) but I'm just really glad to see he's made it safe and sound and still has some energy.
(Also, sorry about the poop! I didn't feed him for 3 prior to shipping, but obviously that didn't stop him from waiting).

No there are some normal/wild morphs that have high whites. Compared to our normal the one in the video is actually a bit darker compared to ours but it's also a lighting situation. The BP in the video is a normal/wild/'standard' who gained a lot of weight at some point and then lost is pretty quickly.
