DeBrusk played last season with a broken hand. He was healthy in the Playoffs and led the bruins in scoring.
He still inconsisent doesn't matter he a liability seriously stop making the Bruins look bad at everything they do you people are very annoying with them.

As a Canuck fan I was skeptical of Adam being the guy to do the Canucks watchalongs this playoffs, but I gotta admit he was pretty solid as he got acclimated to the team. I’m glad he’s retaining some of that here, definitely got more appreciation for Adam since the playoff streams lol

Z's signing was fair, the B's overpayed like crazy for Lindholm though I'm glad we didn't give him that to stay in Vancouver.

Vancouver didn’t have their 40 goal scorer or Vezina nominated goalie in game 7 against the Oilers, they didn’t need to add anything to beat Edm
We were pretty weak on wingers though. Can never say no to upgrading especially after we clear some bad contracts.
Edmonton is always grossly overrated
There were long stretches where the Canucks couldn't get any offense at all, adding some more scoring talent would help, but also that's something for the coaches to address next year.
Well they do now, cause EDM just added Arvidsson and Jeff Skinner.

Vancouver could make some noise next year. I mean they were one goal away from sending Game 7 to OT and basically played the whole playoffs with their 3rd goalie. Imagine if they had Demko who got more Vezina votes than Bob.
4th goalie, their AHL starter down the stretch was tolopilo who was silovs backup in game 3 vs nashville. They went with silovs because of his international experience, but in the heirarchy, he was actually their 4th string goalie
The only noise there making is no playoffs next year lol.

As a Boston fan JD is a playoff performer but in the regular season he's an elite 3rd line forward. He might hit 30 goals 1 time during that deal. He took max term got an NMC and got a decent raise. He wasn't getting all 3 in Boston.

Lindholm is a floater, he's at best a 2c and he needs talented players to elevate his play. Massive overpayment.

I like Jake but damn that's a tough contract. Amazing big playoff moment guy but regular season he is too streaky. I think the no movement clause is going to bite long term.
I am a long , ancient really canuck fan . And i think next year will be spectacular, who ever said they ran out of goals was correct. They seem offensively to be either on or off. Not much in-between they switched off and couldn't get going again. They need more consistency. I have faith that they will do that. They are a very good team .

I am happy Debrusk is getting paid and is going to get an opportunity to be a big part of a team. His time is Boston was weird and rife with inconsistency but he is a great playoff player and has the ability to rip off goal streaks.
VANCOUVER didn't know the impact of Tocchet when we got him! Most were pissed off that we lost Boudreau (even though he wasn't that successful, he was just a great guy). Toch has been unreal, easy Jack Adams winner.
With 3.7 in cap space I wonder if the Canucks will try to get another depth forward and defenceman or if they’re good with what they have. Alvin did say something about not being in LTIR money allows for more call ups I think..

Canucks are actually higher in cap space as cap friendly has them at 25 contracts, so a few will be in the minors, which will lower their total spent. Should have closer to 4.5 to spend including ltir.

Every Bruin fan: Vancouver, TAKE HIM, TAKE HIM. THANK YOU. No more. Wish the Bruins got like a 7th round pick from him before the trade deadline last year. Chances are he will be on the ice vs the Bruins, but no one will be able to find him except the one time Zadorov blasts him to the ice.
DeBrusk played injured last season, until the playoffs where he cooked. He's going to fill the net if he plays alongside Pettersson. The Canucks looted the Bruins in free agency, adding Forbort and Heinen too. Vancouver even signed the hit leader from Nashville (Sherwood), after seeing/feeling what he did to them in the first round of the playoffs. They snagged Vincent Desharnais out of Edmonton to cap off day one of free agency.
Bruins didn't need Forbort anymore and he wasn't playing all that much at the end of the season. Heinen was signed on a PTO last season. Although he did come into the league with the team but was traded away. He was nice to have but he's not a critical piece. Debrusk will hurt them but that's business.
Doesn't matter Debrusk is inconsisent end of story.

Canucks are going to be a hard hitting team next season. They got 4 defensemen who are 6’5 and above and added a lot of snarls in their mid and bottom 6 forwards

And that is what Toronto would need, a good coach (someone that gets the most out of the whole team, making them play together and for each other. Those are the kind of teams that can win Stanley cup. Look at (Florida just recently and) St Louise (spelling?) hmm but didn't they get their coach now actually? I have a faint memory of that, but I could be wrong / only my imagination?)
Petey sucked for the majority of the 2nd half of the season no matter who he played with. A great center improves his wingers, but Petey doesn't do that.

Don't get your hopes up, as for the most part, it's almost impossible for this podcast to shift any focus away from the Leafs. Very frustrating as it's a decent crew when they talk about anything else.
