My Expedition Bikepacking Setup (Detailed Walkthrough)

- Hi friends! In this video, I run through a detailed packing list and talk about my new budget off-road bikepacking setup that's capable of a world tour, or a weekend ride.
This is my second version of a similar hybrid setup that combines aspects of bikepacking but with the rear rack common in traditional touring. This gives me more capacity and convenience than a typical bikepacking setup, but it's still lighter and more capable off-road. Adding small rear panniers would be easy and a good way to add capacity if needed, though as-is I have around 80L of capacity
~Since filming Ive found a matching set of 29" wheels, tubeless tires, and On-One H bars~

Thanks Jim! Appreciate it!
I'm glad this video was recommended to me. Now I'm actually thinking of going with a rack/backpack combo. Also I really like your cinematography and color grading. All best from Germany!
Glad you enjoyed, thanks!
Hi Avery, It's your Warm Showers host from Arroyo Grande, California. It's great to hear of your trekking.
Keep 'em coming.
Margie
Hey Margie! Glad to hear from you and thank you!!
It’s amazing how organized you are and must be for this kind of journey. Ready for anything👏🤩
Haha yes thanks!
Great set up you have there , I have gone the rucksack way on the rear rack. It works so much easier .⛺️🚲👍
Yes! Seems people are catching on
I enjoy the fact you use cheap/no frills items. A really smart set up!
Sometimes if it works, it works!

What an amazing video, and inspiring.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello Avery, great video. I love the way you improvise and your minimalistic approach. How long are your adventures with such a set up. I must admit to lol when you mentioned sun panel and Scotland in the same sentence.
BTW we met in the Napa Valley in September at a WS. Any plans to ride on the continent?
Hey! Hope you've been well! Thanks and this was shot at the end of the GD divide, after 5 weeks riding and in preparation for mainland Europe this summer! Funny enough scotland was the only time I had real sun in the whole UK
love the setup. what brand are the two stem bags (the feed and camera bag)
Thanks Lewi! Not sure actually, the feed bag is a 2.5l from Amazon, it was 20£ I think, and the camera bag I found at a charity shop haha

Cool video and nice setup. Do you protect the frame from the straps of the bags?
Smart move to leave the laptop btw. Not worth it!
@@bigpimpinbig1 Thank you! I dont, but only because its an old frame with a few scratches already haha
Nice setup !
Would you tell me the name of those giant feed bag ? 😅
