Excellent!
I new it lol lol
Benny!Cover The punisher king of killers by Jason Aaron and cover more punisher stuff
Dude, Ezra Miller is a fing Groomer, What is wrong with you? Don't praise that monster 🤨
I still feel like DC does not give enough credit to the CW/Arrowverse shows. Love them or hate them, they have done a lot to popularize or familiarize a lot of people to concepts and characters in the DC canon. And when they had the perfect opportunity to at the very least give a nod to them, they didn't. That's my biggest gripe with the movie.
I think that's definitely one of my biggest issues
we can cope about the CG all day
but I personally didn't like how Ezra portrayed Barry, at times it was great but at other points i really couldn't recognize the character as Barry Allen
I wish we would have seen the arrowverse ball in the time bubble scene
no John Wesley Ship or Grant was really just a big finger to all that they've done
we got different actors for batman and we got to see some different supermen but only Jay Garrick?
just super disrespectful
Actually smallville started it all and sfx were way better
@soundschannel99 never said the Arrowverse started anything, but IMO it had better portrayals of a lot of the characters that were also in Smallville. And more, obviously, since there were like 6 different shows.
Regardless, that's not even a point worth arguing. Neither were represented in the film but they saw fit to include Nick Cage Superman
They kinda did by having Zoom play Jay Garrick in the movie but anyone who has seen Season 2 knows who he really is & it’s dumb that they didn’t have Supergirl from the CW or Superman Returns in the movie but instead a CGI zombie Christopher Reeve & a CGI Supergirl.
@@GawrGurasBathTubPizza They started it but the Arrowverse was way more popular & made a lot of DC characters very popular & liked such as Flash or Green Arrow. Who were originally looked at as just “guy who can run fast” & “bootleg Batman”.
Actually, 19:40 the movie does have a moment where before he runs back he does change something (which he actually changed where the tomato can row was so that the video of his father actually shows his face and can be proven innocent) which Barry awkwardly says when to the news before the Clooney Cameo. So hes not back in the original timeline.
the after-credit was funny ash lmao
Excellent
I’m still salty about how Henry was treated. Compared to how Ezra Miller gets more than enough second chances.
I’m glad that Gunn and Henry sat down and that he can come back in the dcu cause old dc dicked him around
Yeah hopefully this is the nail in the coffin to that universe.
Wax figure lookin ass
Grace Randolph has said for years it's about money
Henry never appeared in most cameos either , so they feel he is too expensive
Ezra and Jason Momoa generally seem more like good sports for the company
Ezra appeared in Crisis for Arrowverse and Peacemaker
Jason also did Peacemaker
It's not just about who fans like unfortunately
Henry wanting more money and being paid as much as Ben Affleck allegedly was a big issue Grace reported on during the BVS days
The fact no Man of Steel 2 happened is basically proof that was never resolved
Henry is a straight white man who cares about the source material while Ezra is a crazy ass gay white person who likes to groom kids. Of course Hollywood treated Henry like shit.
The fact Ezra miller is in it?
Ezra was pretty good. I just don’t like him sneaking in these gay lines. Nobody probably caught them cuz they were read between the lines type of things. But there were a lot of gay jokes disguised as normal dialogue.
@@letsgobrandon1906 ??
@@letsgobrandon1906??
No the movie was plan stupid the way It ended the speed force ruined it all It was not meant to be that way
@@letsgobrandon1906just going to say anything about the fact that he's a giant piece of s*** in general
I love how they adapted the Flashpoint storyline. Superman played such a small role in the original. Swapping him out for Supergirl made it much more interesting. But, the one thing I don't understand is, why wasn't Keaton playing Thomas Wayne instead of Bruce Wayne? It would have explained his age, and Bruce being gunned down in that alley and causing Thomas to become Batman and driving Martha crazy was such a key element in the original storyline.
Because it was only Flashpoint on a superficial level. That's why it's not Thomas Wayne. They're not even interchangeable characters despite both being Batman. The fact the movie thought they could just substitute Bruce Wayne speaks volumes. Though I also thought replacing Superman for Supergirl misses the point of the character in the original but what do I know? Everyone else seems to have had a decent time except me.
@@agenerichumanbro they literally explain it in the movie
OG Flashpoint is a whole Lotta stories, but it's Barry's fault. The Flash downplayed the Justice League, Shazam, Cyborg, The Wayne's to tell a Barry Allen story about growing up and letting go.
I'll take that over Martha Wayne using a child as a decoy So commissioner gordon can shoot her dead.
*so edgey!*
Well, first of all, Keaton put is his fingers over Martha and Bruce in the photo so I read that as he's Thomas, and secondly, why Thomas Wayne became Batman didn't matter in flashpoint at all.
@@adoptic6342 no it’s the same Batman from 89 he’s Bruce you see the suit from the first two movies when he opens the vault
Clooney's cameo was pretty wholesome, actually. Despite being Batman & Robin an awful flick, he still accepted to re-appear as an easter egg, showing he has a good sense of humor. That said, I would have LOVED if Keaton's Batman gave that Bruce what he had coming for ruining the Burtonverse
Facts on facts.
Him having a good sense of humor... He accepted a paycheck to show up for less then a minute
@@el_bman9844t actors still have a public image related to the roles they perform. Being Batman clearly did not help his career, so being disposed to play him again despite the fact that awful movie could have ruined his career shows Mr Clooney likes to make fun of himsrlf from time to time
All Burtonverse movies are pretty mid, Batman and Robin is honestly the best one because it's the funniest one
Batman and Robin is a kids movie , what don’t you nerds understand, I loved it and would rent it all the time at block buster. If you complain about it being a bad movie you have mental problems
The one thing I will give the movie credit for, Sasha Calle. She was surprisingly good. I hope she gets to be Supergirl again.
Fax she was one of the best parts
Yeah, she did a good job with the material. I just wish the writing for supergirl was stronger
Definitely was a more accurate Supergirl aside from the haircut.
@@arfhat89lol I hated the haircut too. It made her look like a junkie 😂
I fap to Sasha Calle
The fact that many fans were upset when Keaton was cast as Batman in the 80s shows why said portrayal works so well. Unlike Ben Affleck's and Christian Bale's versions, Michael Keaton's Bruce literally doesn't physically or psychologically appear to be secretly Batman at all, which makes his way of keeping his identity a secret all the more sense.
Who knows Bale in Brave & Bold ?? Oh No thats not working , they killed Talia in Batman 3
I hope Tim Burton and Keaton finish their 3rd film as they should’ve
@@CarolCityCane305 will never happen
but people also hated the casting of bale and the casting of ben affleck when they were anounced! people hated the casting of Ezra as barry, and people hated the casting of Gal as wonder woman. i think the only castings that people didnt mind were henry cavil and Cyborg(and even that one the complaint was more why he was picked to be in the JL movie, as opposed to a Titans movie).
Keaton definitly had the psychological part down, if you don't agree we can get nuts, you wanna get nuts?
It sucks that they had to use the flashpoint storyline so early on. I hope we get another Flash movie hopefully with a recast and with actual Flash rogues and villains
we had a whole tv series aswell and this is the issue with media today. all the writers suck balls and are relying on copy and pasting the same 5 story's
its the same problem i had with BvS and it being a mix of the dark knight returns and the death of superman.
You are not getting another flash movie until 10 more years. this movie reset the dceu and everyones getting recasted
@@marcosdheleno😂'😂#
Flash solo movie that gives more screen time to Zod, Supergirl and Batman than an actual Flash Villain
I 100% agree with the "burn-out" statement you just made! The best thing these studios can do is go on a large hiatus with the CBM's so it can not only let audiences take a break from Supers; but it can ALSO let filmmakers have all the time in the world to themselves, giving them the time they need to make fantastic films!
Agreed. Both DC/WB and most especially Disney/Marvel crank out these movies, TV shows so fast, there's nothing special about them. It's quantity over quality. I think superhero fatigue is real, especially when most the product is mediocre
As much as I dont care for ezra I ended up surprisingly liking young Barry n seeing him spiral n turn in the end was heartbreaking especially seeing he just wanted to save kara n bruce
you guys do realize that them failing literaly meant the death of EVERYONE in the planet, right? as in, not just Kara and Bruce, but his parents, friends, pets, teachers, girlfriends, EVERYONE in that planet died, of course, old Barry doesnt really have to deal with the consequences as it wasnt his universe...
I'm the opposite I felt for older Barry, when he called his younger self entitled, and the way he just shutdown in the speed force while younger Barry was running around crazy i related too.
Both had their reasons. Younger Barry wasn’t a villain. He HAD to save everyone. He wasn’t even scared of being erased out of existence, he just wanted his mother to live.
Ezra aside, the two characters had their motivations.
Yeah i felt bad for younger barry they did my boi dirty
The problem besides the obvious dumpster fire that is ezra miller, is the CGI, the acting, the over done and out of touch jokes. Michael Keaton's Batman being only used for nostalgia bait with no real depth. The whole Flashpoint storyline trying to be told in a end of the Zack Snyder era fashion, instead of a love letter to the original story or even a more modern retelling
How many times do you want the same Flashpoint story retold? I loved that it was different
@@purplespark8 I’m totally okay with the Flashpoint story being told differently, but to retell such an historic story in comics needs to be a love letter of sorts. Because telling it as disorganized and uninspired as they did was closer to an insult
@@purplespark8yeah it was different , and way worse
@@purplespark8the original flashpoint story was way more touching and amazing
Right? I'm all for stuff being changed but those changes need to make sense. Taking a classic story and changing all the major plot points, giving it a more silly tone when it originally had a lot of emotional weight, just in my opinion is a little heartbreaking to watch
This was a really great breakdown of the films positives and negatives. I pretty much shared the exact same thoughts walking out of this. The good aspects are really good, but the bad aspects are very baffling. I feel the weakest aspect of all is the non committal ending. It feels weird to walk out of a movie that's over 2 hours long, and have no idea where the hero ended up in his journey.
These movies dont have to have a follow up movie to make these legitimately good. I love it stands on its own.
Does it really stand on it's own though? Everything in the movie was a call back to the other movies and unrelated shows.
@@Zero2k0 It wont matter if you have not watched these other movies and shows.
@@Zero2k0does it?
It made sense going back to the past resulted in seeing certain unavoidable events happening again.
The only bad thing was the random CGI callbacks to other shows. It happened in a serious scene.
@@fobudomh It definitely will matter. The kryptonian invasion is such a huge plotpoint that you need to have watched Man of steel to understand why they are here and why they wanted supergirl
@@kbreezy1581 Barry explained everything to the younger Barry. In turn explaining it to us. Anyway , its just one movie. I am sure everyone has watched it. No one needs to watch Keaton movies or anything else for sure.
I absolutely hate how FLASHPOINT got turned into Crisis on Infinite Earths at the end! Among other things
I HATE this movie.
@@savagedarksider2147nobody ask go take Your meds
I loved it personally but with production he’ll Andy did a great job just wish the cgi at the “intentional” moments was fixed liked the performances from Ezra and supergirl a lot
I Wonder If the CGI Team get their Paycheck?? It was not ready for theatre
Honestly I liked all of if I went in expecting it to be trash and I actually really enjoyed it
My only problem was reverse flash not making a cameo or even a quick reference
so you basically had no problem at all
@@AgentsoloOG no the movie was great but I really wanted to see some type of reverse flash reference DCEU wise
@@foamdeposit6180 they haven't casted one yet though, but i heard they will in the future
@@AgentsoloOG ahh sounds good !
He didn't run fast enough
The fact they kept their lead actor despite being on the run from the law and leaking a letter saying they would base it on crowd response
Cause the movie was done lol they were debating on bringing it out.
I love comedy. I enjoy this movie but you are right about the ending. That ending was funny just to be funny or maybe he fuck up the multiverse again. What I know is that I will always remember the Flash running without powers and that's beautiful.
I don’t think “superhero burnout” is actually real. Just look at GOTG 3 and Into the spider verse. People are just burnt out on bad movies. Most mcu movis are made with the same formula and they’re not really unique. This is exactly why I absolutely trust Gunn with the new DCU because he acknowledges this and he’s passionate about making unique and great movies
It's real. No one cares about superheroes anymore.
@@towermoment.1347 gotg 3? across the spiderverse? You know damn well if there was an avengers movie this year everyone would be in line to see that. It’s not that they don’t care. It’s not superhero burnout it’s bad movie burnout
But still. Gotg 3 and Into the spider-verse are a continuation of well-made movies. I have a feeling that when new movies will come out about the characters the audience are not familiar with they will share the fate of phase 4 marvel movies and flash movie. But who knows maybe im wrong.
@@xxHkR1xxI mean phase 4 was still pretty damn successful monetarily and critically. Was it up the same standard as phase 3? No. But most films still made over 800 mill without staring any of the original six Avengers.
@@Conorj398 exactly. If people were tired of superheroes no one would go on and watch these ones. Any movie marvel puts out good or bad still makes money. People are just tired of the movies being bad
I totally agree with him about the speed force making thinks look weird. Idk if they could of gone in a different direction with it or not. But one thing I can’t get over is how he runs.
I don’t think a move needs inner connectivity to make a billion dollars. It just needs to be a truly great movie for people to actually want to watch and rewatch it. I don’t think one movie setting up the next five projects is enough for people nowadays to go back to the theater and watch it again. Things in general are more expensive and people know these movies eventually go to streaming, so they’re a lot more picky with their money.
Unpopular opinion: Kryptonians are too powerful in DC, leading to a ton of plot holes.
That’s probably why they blew up their entire planet lol
Agree
Loved it when Ezra said, "It's flashing time"
And oh boy ... Flashed all the kids he kidnapped 😂🤣.
…. Anyone gonna talk about the fact they casted Ezra…. Why not grant gustin? Or anyone else who isn’t a real life supervillain. How can they fire Henry cavil on his birthday for nothing but being in the old dcu and then cast Ezra after Ezra has literally assaulted ppl, started a cult, groomed minors… kidnapped children…
I disagree a little with him talking Shazam, Ant-Man, and Black Panther. There's other factors in play that played in people not going to see or enjoying the movies as far as writing, execution, and the ability to see it on streaming within a few months. And no Wakanda Forever didn't break $1 Billion but it made $900 million so 🤷🏿♂️. Its not like it underperformed. I think Shazam had the same issue as the Flash and I think you even mentioned it in another video
Wakanda Forever also lost their main actor to death and they did a better job than expected in bringing his story to a close, but still moving on. 😎
@@RobOlivierbjr64 💯
@@ctl6985wakanda forever made less than 900 million so it did underperform
Absolutely love these videos, feel like Benny definitely explains how I felt about the Flash movie, wish this movie at least eluded to James Gunn’s new DC Universe.
Plot twist.
Ezra is reverse Flash.
It's really entertaining and I think people are just hating for the sake of hating. Of course it has problems like any other movie but it doesn't deserve this much hate. It's a good movie that did it job well, reseting the dceu/introducing how flash got his powers/a bunch of fan service cameos.
Why didn't they just follow the flashpoint paradox plot like this plot is so stupid
Because this plot was better than Flashpoint
@Everett Johnson You're joking right have you seen The Flash Paradox animation movie it was beyond better then This shit show
@@everettjohnson9374 🤮🤮🤮🤮
You know what would be cool Benny if you had a series like this maybe title it something like "The Succes of..." where you talk about stuff you like. Cuase id like to see your positive takes. Plus that sg stuff was only really a thing in the new52 its not a normal sg thing to just be moody all the time.
Probably won't get as many view, given most want to hear things being torn down, sadly.
What Beezy said, I tried a few early on before the Title The Problem With stuck and was the most successful. So now I just name them all The Problem With and talk positively while finding at least one thing to nitpick lol
@comicstorian correction: and for the love god stop calling just people that didn't enjoy the films haters. That's disingenuous as fuck and annoying. Anyways: we are not tired of superhero movies. We are tired of DOGSHIT superhero movies. Look at what guardians 3 did at the box office and across the spiderverse literally proving my point. They did very well. Most movies have been mediocre and or filled with political woke garbage! That ruins the films. Preachy political agendas. If a superhero movie is good then it's good we won't be tired of it. The movies r just terrible since after endgame with the exception of No Way Home. Stop conflating the 2.
I wouldn't say Supergirl is stronger than Superman, it's just that he consistently pulls his punches. Being raised with humans, Kal-El is keenly aware of how fragile they are. Supergirl is much more filled with anger from her treatment by humans and as a result she is more likely to go full on. I think the ending is appropriate if Ezra is not continuing as the Flash. Flash is going to have to live wih the consequences of his actions. Living in a universe with George Clooney as Batman and remembering what had been. Just my opinion. Thanks for the honest review and we'll see you next time.
I'm convinced the red eyes staring back at Flash before he screws up and ends up in the wrong year was Reverse Flash.
That was dark barry it was proven in the movie
@MrMack for the win given Dark Flashes motivation and obsession with a single moment that just doesn't seem right to me, it seems more likely he spent his life in that moment rather than go back and bump Barry of course. Just doesn't feel right. I'd rather that get fleshed out as Reverse Flash in a sequel. Some loose strands of connection to be made in hindsight
This actually makes me want to see you guys rank the dc movies again since we are getting to the end of the pre Gunn dceu
I really liked having both Benny and Dan in this video for some reason it throws me back to the days of the whiteboard rants! Lol you guys rock!
I was thinking about this yesterday Benny’s gonna make a video about this
Honestly i was kinda hoping the movie was gonna be basically ezra miller killing the current dcu, and creating a "new 52" like you mentioned, n show a teaser of the new cast
Love the commentary, Benny! And love the secondary feedback from Dan!
Appreciate letting Dan also get his take in on the video
The start of the film was the problem for me, mostly because it made me feel like we missed out on something amazing. No, I don't mean the SnyderVerse, I mean, like you said, different tones that melded together, much like an actual Justice League comic. While I am still looking forward to the new DCU, I will forever be thinking, "I wonder how Affleck would have done as a Batman handling a Damian Robin..."
I HATE this movie.
Also I hate Barry’s character development in this. I mean I love that he’s a lot more mature and he has a lot more knowledge with his abilities. Considering he was afraid as hell in Justice League. What sucks is that we got this development off screen
Am I the only one who is sick of Barry Allen being portrayed as having a mental age of a 14 years old despite being 25? I miss old Barry Allen
right? they literaly made him look like he had some mental development issues.
You're not alone, the whole time I'm like "dude aren't you grown? Why!?"
It instant I saw young Barry wearing yellow, I KNEW he was the thing that bumped old Barry out of the speed force. And knew the reason was he didn’t want old Barry to fix his mistake saving mom.
Bro so many movie quotes are perfect “well this didn’t age well” memes
It’s all I could think of when I was watching it
I feel like since it’s the first live action flash movie and surprisingly a good film this will be remembered by hardcore DC fans. In 3 years you’ll be seeing video essays pop up talking about how underrated this film is
I wouldn't be surprised if this movie stands up to anything Gunn puts out honestly.
Doubt
Eh, the movie could’ve been much much better then what how it actually turned out
@@Real_DvD Everything ever made "could've" been better. But with the product we got there are multiple memorable moments not just action scene but just great character moments. Fact is its crazy we even got this movie when they could've sacked this for a huge tax right off same with Aquaman if we get that.
Ezra was the worst possible choice to play the Flash, acts nothing like Barry Allen.
This is just a fun movie. I feel like not everything has to connect. The reason why we like early mcu is because they worked on making good movies then connecting them, Whereas Early dceu was worried about connecting them and not making good movies
I didnt like how the speed force was representing. I like how in the show it would sometimes make the speed force look like this tangible thing you are running through. As opposed to just running in places
I hear the complaint of the CG but in the speedforce isn't it done that way on purpose? When I watched it I thought it was shown that way to depicted a distortion/ flow of time
there's a diference between it looking "off" on purpose, and it looking off because you couldnt be bothered to make it look better.
this whole argument is an excuse. and the vast majority of movie goers wont buy it. doesnt mean they wont enjoy the movie. but just being in denial isnt doing anyone any favors.
@@marcosdheleno there were good CGI scenes like when both Barry's are together and then they had the odd looking speedforce scene's which shows they can look good when they want it to. So doesn't that mean it looked bad on purpose?
The problem is the casting of that psycho Ezra as the flash he’s terrible he’s annoying he ruins the movie
Most of the greatest actors are psychos, just look at scientology.
6:30 idk just ben saying your smoking crack just got me laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣
The fact that ezra hasnt been arrested?
Good point on super girl
Ps3 graphics
I’m moister than an oyster
It feels like they wanted to wait for reception by making it vauge with Barry telling Arthur he kept going to timelines and found the wrong Bruce, so did he land in the DCU and just give up? If we're never seeing the DCEU why not give that definite end? Feels very two faced
"I have a problem with things" just made me laugh too much
I really had a good time here, and this movie made me very emotional personally. That said, and while I'm very happy I saw it, in trying to be objective I can say for sure it was just decent.
I absolutely love the flash movie and love how it looked when he runs. I do agree with cgi when it came to the baby’s and in the speed force it could have been better or just not look that way but it was alright.
the babies lowkey looked like Sims babies especially that one meme of the guy screaming death metal at a baby
😂
He said he wouldn’t remember the movie a year from then and he’s not even alive a year later
I REALLY love the tone of this movie, it’s a perfect balance of light hearted fun and sad themes. This feels like what I want a flash movie to feel like weither that’s the way everything is mostly shot during the day kinda like how it is with the flash in the comics stopping random crimes or when he’s in the park changing; it feels like we’re exploring central city and I like when he runs it looks really cool! And that’s what I think works with the aesthetic aspects of the film. Of course I’d love to see a little more the flash aesthetic in here and a little more of the flashes lore but for what it is I really like it and has been something I’ve always wanted as a flash fan, I hope they explore that more in the new dcu if we get a new flash project.
The animated flashpoint paradox was way superior, not to mention that it set off a whole extended animated movie universe, which Warner bros shoulda done instead of the Snyder verse
It was alright but honestly despite seeing it a few days ago I already forgot most of the film but definitely some issues for me
1) It's so weird that with all the Ezra problems they had an incredible way out. Keep the Dark Flash and Young Barry death but have the DCEU Barry stay behind in the time bubble to keep the multiverse from collapsing or have him get trapped, but have him throw the lightning bolt that makes Wally West The Flash and introduce him as the DCU Flash going forward. This way a new Flash is crowned and Ezra's Barry Allen is still present if he ever gets his shit together they can reintroduce him rather simply or if not he is gone either way a win-win for everyone
2) Rather then throw away the ending, tie it into James Gunn's DCU. You don't need a Batman or Superman to appear, but instead have news reports of them showing instead.
3) It just seemed like it was released for the sake of being released. I feel like Superman Legacy could have actually opened with the final battle of this film and DCEU Flash running back turns it into the DCU and the film starts proper. Plus it would give an excuse for Sasha Calle to stay as Supergirl.
4) Didn't really care for Cavall as Superman but he really never did anything wrong and was booted from the role. Ezra has a seemingly never ending legal issues (most of which are quite serious and concerning) and is being considered to continue on as Flash? Like how the hell does that work? Is it also bad that the one thing I remember is Flash literally microwaving babies in the film and wondering was it a part of the script or was Ezra just being himself? Seriously I shouldn't be thinking that when watching a film my thoughts during that moment should be how is Flash going to save everyone not oh Ezra is continuing his dark troubles by now cooking babies.
5) It should have been renamed to The Flashpoint and those reshoots should have included more screentime for other characters. Can't remove Ezra but minimize him without killing the story would have been ideal. Or retitle it Batman: Flashpoint and call it Keaton's 3rd Batman film and it would have sold on that alone.
On a more serious note, I don't mind if they replace everyone, so long as they keep Supergirl, Aquaman and Alfred. I guess Diana is okay, too, but not as necessary.
As for that Savitar appearing and punching Barry out of his bubble, I recognized it would be some version of Barry, since his mother lived from just that change, and therefore they weren't inserting the Reverse Flash into the story. What started hinting at me as to which version of him he is, is during the battle against the Kryptonians we saw both Flashes and their lightnings and I noticed the younger Flash had a blue lightning streak, while the older one had yellow. That's when I remembered the one from the bubble had the same blue lightning.
The problem is Ezra Miller
Among other things. I think the whole multiverse , and variants doesn't hit as hard as they hoped. Same with old star cameos... its not as impactful when MCU just did the same thing. It's getting boring there too.
The whole universe is fucked up, it’s been experiencing problems way before him acting like reverse flash
No it isn't!! If he was fine and everyone liked him the movie would still sucked. So it sucked because Ezra is mentally unprepared? That's being daft mate...oh my mistake, if Ezra was loved then the movie would have been a hit? Why did it really sux? Think about it and stop following the trend..SMH ..
@ProfessorKenny75 jackass Ezra Miller cannot act. Any movie he's in he sucks in. He's not a leading actor.
Then I hope u don't watch marvel
Actually i think henry was stronger being that he had no help beating all 3 of the kryptonions and he was able to snap zods neck after he gained all of his abilities. You gotta remember zod was a soldier general experienced in fighting and this was enough even without all his abilities to impale supergirl even with help from flash.. Henry man of steel literally snapped a fully powered general zods neck with his bare hands kal is meant to be the most powerful and he does it and proves that without him in this fight even with the help of batman and 2 flashes supergirl cannot beat zod and soldiers.. I thought goin in they were gonna get into femenism showing that a female supergirl was gonna whoop zod and save the day just to jam it into og superman fans faces ,but to my surprise it played out about how it should have
Probly helped that superman had been on earth the longest zod was only on earth a few days tops probly why zod was weaker
so what if zod was a soldier? the only reason he was able to fight with superman in MoS in the first place was because his suit broke and he got sunlight. it never happened in this movie, and supergirl beat him up for 10 minutes straight, but he just shrug it off and kept going as if she was was a 5 years old with a pillow.
@@marcosdheleno that's what I was saying zod didn't have his abilities and she still got beat the only one strong enough to defeat zod was kal
@@concealit4800 but that's not a good thing. zod shouldnt be this strong. he has no reason to be strong enough to tank those hits.
it also goes against the MoS movie, as he wasnt able to do anything against superman until he got bathed in sunlight as well.
my point is, the movie didnt make a good case for why supergirl wasnt able to beat zod. specially because she was fighting with intent to kill.
I think I like the way they end played out because to what he was saying. We don't know if ezra miller's flash is in the current timeline, so it would make sense if this was DC's elaborate way of saying "hey Ezra Miller's been recast" and canonically, it would make sense because he changed the timeline and they could set it in another universe with a whole other cast.
Love the positive take of Dan to end the video
I loved this movie. Shit was amazing.
No voluntary restraint = more power. Superman generally keeps holding back (sometimes even unconsciously), Supergirl has no control or restraint.
but then you'll end up goring people that cant take that power. such as, and im just selecting a random noun out of nowhere, serbians?
With Supergirl, I always liked the explanation where her pod got knocked off course and she'd been orbiting close to the Sun all those years
Ok Benny hear me out. I come to you as someone who falls asleep every night listening to your videos on Spotify. You should upload more frequently on there. You have such an amazing catalog of full stories, each of which I've watched over the past 7 years. It's not like I haven't seen all of them, and maybe this is an insane ask since I'm just sleeping while it's on, but I think it would be cool if you uploaded a full story each week. I don't know what your schedule is like, but more to listen to on there would be awesome. Especially since I have Spotify Premium.
I like this channel
i really liked the movie and thought it was better than I was expecting. I was pretty disappointed they didn't do the Thomas Wayne arc with martha wayne as joker.
12:58 it seems to me that this movie is specific enough to remember it:
- It is one of the most unfinished CGI in the history of Hollywood (previous movies could have had worse CGI because of the technology of the time, not because of a production disaster), a q movie presents as a trinity to Flash, Batman and Supergirl (more or less)
- a film that deforms the theory of the multiverse to its convenience, in a way that it is better not to extend there
- the first Flash movie
There are elements to remember her, not so much in positive, but there are
I also agree that this movie doesn't matter to the overall new universe moving forward, so the cuts they made, the reshoots, edits...removing Henry...didn't matter in the end. I am a big fan of letting the director show their vision, because anytime you make edits and add in new shots, people will see it and feel that it isn't right. I really liked this movie, but the edits they made to a movie that doesn't reset the DC universe was just a waste of time to do. They could have just spent the time working on what they had and put out the best possible movie knowing that this was going to be the end of Ezra Miller's Flash.
The time bubble was genius. Initially, I was like, 'what is that'? But when we see it more and I figured how it works, I thought it was a great take
DCEU/DCU biggest issue is not doing it the Marvel way but the RIGHT WAY. Giving these characters the movies they deserve for us to learn about them EACH and then bring them together is the only way to do it. If they established each character I swear the Snyder Justice League movie would have been amazing.
they did why do you think they was pushing the tv shows so hard at the start, that was the whole idea build them up in shows and then show them off in films the fact dc has failed to capitalise on this is dcs biggest issue
If they did things the Marvel way then no one in the DCU would have a secret identity.
With how many team movies there are in Hollywood (not just CBM), I really don’t think this statement is true
The director says it's Reverse Flash who killed her, what's weird is the change of a tomato shouldn't have changed the fact that Reverse Flash kills her, especially since this movie makes a point to tell us that Barry's dad didn't have an alibi or at least a provable one until the end. So Barry's dad's being home or not shouldn't have stopped Reverse Flash form Killing her
it makes even worse. he says that the reverse flash killed her. meaning, the universe he was from originaly had a barry who had his mother alive through out his life. meaning, him stopping her from dying shouldnt affect the universe this negatively.
unless its a story about how only bad guys can change the future and get everything they want from it.
@@marcosdhelenodude did you watch the spaghetti part?
I can excuse that with Reverse Flash knowing something happened so he decided to let it play out
@@cunnyman i did, i also saw later, how the movie completely ignored it, by allowing the "young barry" being able to go back to the exact same point in that exact same version of the multiverse, multiple times for thousands, possibly even millions of times trying to fix it.
Question: so when Jason Mamoa shows up in the post credit scene of flash as Aquaman/Arthur and Barry explained what he went through does that mean that Barry corrected the timeline and he's back in his original timeline, the Snyderverse? 🤔
To loosely quote Jason Todd:
"WB I forgive you for firing Henry Cavill as Superman. But why, why on god's earth, is Ezra Miller still the Flash?!"
hahahhaaha
Warner Brothers' was right, Ezra's performance was so good that I actually forgot about his crimes for a moment.
Typical Amerikkkan mentality…
I’m so confused…is this sarcasm? Ezra’s hyper-feminine voice is so obnoxious. Maybe one could be bearable, but listening to him yell at himself was torture.

Boo!!!!
Had a few issues with the Flash’s cgi suit giving me Green Lantern vibes.
that was fr peak justice league at the end
this movie taught me you have to be decent at science and biology in order to be the Flash⚡ Nice movie.
the movie taught me that with great powers comes NO accountability. i shouldnt be bothered to fix my mistakes because i can go back, to0 an acceptable path, and just ignore all the suffering i have caused.
@@marcosdheleno
Wasn’t the point of the movie opposite of what you said? By doing what you said, it resulted in everyone suffering and you had no choice but to be accountable for it?
That’s the resolution for the movie; him being accountable and putting everything back in place and lose his mother again.
@@cunnyman BUT HE DIDNT. that universe is still fucked. all he did was return to his original timeline.
do people not realize that the entire planet in that reality was going to die, and Barry did nothing to help them?
he will go on to live as if nothing has happened, what accountability did he face? "oh no, George Clooney is now batman! woes me!"
The scenes with Quicksilver in those past X-Men movies are way better than this movie 😂
I am so curious about what will happen to the Flash in general. Will he continue in the Gunnverse or recast? Exciting questions.
The main negative i noticed was they over did the food thing at the beginning of the movie dropped it for basically all the conflict and at the end brought it back.
I was hoping he would keep needing to run super far away to eat, or something involving him planing ahead with snacks. But they just did nothing for like 40 mins.
The movie can't make up it's mind about how the speed force works! First he has to watch his blood sugar, then he doesn't! First time travel causes entirely different universes, then it didn't in the ending scene. First young Flash has to discharge, tgen he doesn't! WHAT? The mechanics are effed!
I think the movie 🍿maybe good didn’t see it yet they should’ve did it closely related to the comic, but I will check it out.
the only issue (more like a plothole and a nitpick) I have is now I just realised that since there is a past barry when barry went back in time, shouldn't there also be another barry present in the present since he went back in time even for a little bit to stop the motherbox
Barry’s dad is different and although we know why outside the film, in universe as we’ve seen in this movie I can say it was because of the time travel he did in ZSJL.
My biggest problem with the movie is that it leaves us with too many what if questions with the multiverse and time travel when we know the Snyderverse is dead. It would have been better if it was just a villain trying to destroy the city or world and Barry trying to stop him. Maybe show his scientific and forensic skills. The movie should have ended with the whole timeline being reset and showing us a peek of some of the heroes origin stories but without showing their faces. Would have been a good time to introduce Wally West and make him the new Flash that grows alongside the other heroes and have Barry trapped in the speed force forgotten by history.
I’m kinda disappointed you even saw it after what muller did I can’t believe how many just forgot what he’s done
It's called separating art from reality
did ezra direct and work on the entire movie on his own???
Get over it. A bunch of other people worked on this movie. Is Seven retroactively a bad movie now?
The Movie seem ike it had 3 directors:
1. why flash didnt look in the past to see who killed his mom?
2. just cuz he got the tomato sauce, doesnt mean the killer wasnt still coming- it could have turned out his dad died and mom went to prison instead.
3. at the end they could had Martha wayne step out the car and presented a whole new character!
I believe in a subtle way it does matter to the rest in the most simple way.. he comes back.. things look the same but are not so that just lets you accept all casting changes ... it was a lot to take in just to say ok at the end of the day you will see something different moving forward.
Please be a spoiler talk🙏🏾
I really enjoyed the movie and might be the first movie in a long time that I might rewatch in theaters.
I HATE 😡🤬 THIS MOVIE.
It is definitely rewatchable. I don't agree it needs to tie in to a further movie in order to make it rewatch-worthy
@@purplespark8 I agree and I look back at the early DC animated stuff and some of them aren’t connected like my experience of watching Under the Red Hood didn’t diminish because it wasn’t connected to crisis on two earths.
I will watch this movie in the cinema multiple times. Then I will buy the
blu ray and digital versions and rewatch many times over again. It's a great movie
